A video complement to today’s helpful reminder from Barack Obama that electing him president has not, in fact, made Islamic fascists any less fascistic. Like most jihadi propaganda, it’s hard to watch but essential to watch. Although if you simply can’t stomach it, at least follow the link and read the story to remind yourself that the Pakistani government has abandoned women in the Swat region to this fate. Remember, these are the people with whom Hillary Clinton wants an “honorable reconciliation.”

Did your parents give you worse beatings than this in public? Did they falsely accuse you of something to justify the beatings? Were you publicly slandered and shamed and beaten?
You make a call for everyone here to have perspective and you equate our vocalizing our outrage on a comment thread to the muslim animals who did riot over a cartoon and caused much heartache.
Women in muslim cultures have it pretty bad, they are just a step above a dog. And if they’re falsely accused or raped or somehow bring shame to their family in the twisted minds of the men, they are punished, brutally.
You just don’t seem to get it.

Nope, I don’t. I can’t get outraged over someone getting spanked. Anyone who has any life worth living has been beaten worse and has been shamed more in public. If you haven’t then you need to get out a little.
Frankly, it’s despicable to compare this with the wide variety of truly horrendous things done there. The victims of mutilation and murder among those god forsaken people would beg for this treatment and your easy outrage. Of course they may not appreciate the nuking of the country required by our righteous help. Damn, we are good people!

Are you seriously trying to equate what that girl went through with illegal activities that are going on over here ? You do understand that what that kid went through was her punishment for a crime and not the crime itself. In your example the women are the victims of a crime not the perpetrators of a crime. Are you in some type of mental institution ? Just curious.

Examples of the Taliban killing women in cold blood for alleged infidelity (never did they have to prove it) far predate the G.W. Bush Presidency. They gained power in 1996 during the Clinton Presidency and had already harbored Al Qaeda at that time. That is why Clinton launched cruise missiles into Afghanistan after Al Qaeda blew up American embassies in Africa in 1998.
So care to get your facts straight and stop spewing stupid things here?

As for Indonesia, I’m in Oz, and aware of the attempts to radicalize the country, just as they are in the Philippines. Fortunately, the governments of both countries realize the damage it would do to their emerging economies, and want no part of it – for now.

If she were American then the standard would be to put a girl of this age on restriction…not being held down and whipped in public.
Also, the punishment would be the parents’ choice and not the State’s or the religious establishment’s.
All in all, it was of course a trivial thing to be beaten over. But these are the things the Leftists will support, but in no way tolerate in their own backyard. They are even against punitive spankings. Figure that one out.

He is correct that Obama can not turn a blind eye, wasting this important trip to Turkey, a unique country part of the West yet part of the Muslim world. Obama has to challenge Turkey’s self identity, assuring the Turks of our appreciation of their common interests as part of the West (NATO). But along with the embracing hug of reassurance, Obama must squeeze the Turks to mind their growing public sentiment against America and against Jews, because in any democracy, public sentiment matters and unfolds into political manifestations.
Of course, Cagaptay surmises what Obama NEEDS to do. We’d ALL love for the POTUS to effectively strengthen our alliances, particularly in Turkey and surrounding regions.

The Constitution required that our national government not endorse any particular state religion. Look at what Socialists have done to abolish any reference whatsoever of Christianity outside of a church or private home. She was not beaten by Islamic “radicals” as the Times report says, but by simple followers of Islam. This sort thing is not new but has been going on for centuries in Islamic countries.
When you study Islam & its history you realize that a big selling point of this supremacist ideology to mid-East men is that it gives them absolute control of their women (& girls).
The Qur’an likens a woman to a field (tilth), to be used by a man as he wills: “Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will” (2:223). It declares that a woman’s testimony is worth half that of a man: “Get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her” (2:282). It allows men to marry up to four wives, and have sex with slave girls also: “If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice” (4:3). It rules that a son’s inheritance should be twice the size of that of a daughter: “Allah (thus) directs you as regards your children’s (inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females” (4:11). Worst of all, the Qur’an tells husbands to beat their disobedient wives: “Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other.” So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them” (4:34).
As a special treat for pedophiles, Islam allows for marriage to pre-pubescent girls, stipulating that Islamic divorce procedures “shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated” (65:4).
