Palin rips Levi Johnston for dishing about Bristol on Tyra Banks’s show
posted at 8:20 pm on April 3, 2009 by Allahpundit
I don’t blame her a bit, especially after watching the clip of him stuttering about their sex life. What a turd.
“Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We’re disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship,” says the statement from the Palin family rep.
“Bristol’s focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence,” the statement continues. “It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child.”
The statement ends, saying, “Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions.”
Bristol’s supposed advocacy of abstinence is rather highly nuanced, but never mind that. If I were her, I’d be at the courthouse on Monday filing for child support to get whatever piece she can of the dirty money Tyra Banks paid this kid to tell her things like whether Palin knew they were having sex or not. Stay classy, dad.
Update: Oh lord. It never ends.

Shall we start on an imaginary path for your third daughter? Daughter one came home unmarried and pregnant, daughter two joined the Army. Ok, we’ve got the path for daughter three. Attending the University of Idaho.
Dad is severely depressed, even though the University of Idaho is accredited and demands that she attend Harvard where she can meet someone with the likes of Warner Huntington III, who will take care of her for the rest of her life.
He taught his kids right — how could they DO this to him?

That was a lie. Levi is going around talking about his perception of his relationship with Bristol. The Palins made that kid show up at the GOP convention. It was written all over his face that he didn’t want to be there. Bristol too seemed very uncomfortable. The engagement was a sham.

Palin needs to address this kind of stuff (like Levi dishing to Tyra Banks) and has every right to defend her daughter.

I have no doubt they were playing around and got into trouble. Might want to think twice before declaring the engagement was a “sham,” though. It may have been politically expedient, maybe one was more serious than the other, or maybe they did plan to get married but the stress of pregnancy, birth and starting to care for an infant as teenagers was too much.
I don’t know. I doubt if you do either.

Some other achievements on Sarah Palin’s resume. Our sordid collection of trolls, mobys, and sockpuppets are neglecting these for some reason:
I challenge her detractors on this board to try to replicate what Sarah Palin has accomplished in her political and personal life. If repeatedly running (and winning) public office while juggling the needs of a growing family is such an inconsequential feat that any illiterate dimwit can accomplish, than it should be a piece of cake for truly brilliant minds like yourselves.

I wasn’t defending Palin in this post. I was showing how easy it is to copy and paste information. A thing you seem to be an expert at doing.
And I do disagree with Kevin Rudd. He is an Obama worshipper. I am very surprised with the reception that Obama gave him when he visited the White House. Very different than the British.
I would defend Sarah Palin with the former Prime Minister of Australia John Howard however. John Howard had the sense to set up a future fund (sound familiar) where he put the excess of Australia’s mining boom and instead of sending checks he gave all Australians a tax cut every year. Australia had a $40 billion surplus and $45 billion in the future fund until Kevin Rudd raided it to go on his stmulus package spending spree. Australia is now going to be $200 billion in debt after this stimulus package.

“For the Palin supporters (of which I am one) it is really too late for her…”
I am also a Sarah Palin supporter. There are many supporters who feel that stories dealing with Levi and Bristol will blow over in a week. I am not one of them.
However, I am not about to write Sarah Palin off either. KASM, if you know the basics of being a successful politician it boils down to three things: popularity on the campaign trail, the ability to raise money, and a substantial base of support that can be expanded upon.
Since you support Sarah you know that Sarah has all of these political attributes in spades. Thus she has a head start on the rest of the GOP field. Remember its like the NFL which has two conferences. Before getting to the Super Bowl you have to become your conference champion.
KASM, you must ask yourself based on who you now perceive as Sarah’s main opponents in 2012 who do see has a realistic chance of knocking her off? Or are you basing your opinion that you feel that Sarah is not going to run in 2012 because of the Levi-Bristol affair or that Todd’s half-sister was arrested for burglary? Obviously if Sarah does not run in 2012 this discussion is entirely academic.
I have maintained consistently that Sarah’s ‘family’ and her reaction to how they are trashed in the media is her Achilles’ heel. Nothing that has happened recently has changed my mind. However, fortunately for Sarah the Presidential primaries are taking place not now but in 3 years where Bristol will be a full-grown woman, Levi would have moved on and even more importantly Sarah will be able to surround herself with a team who is devoted to securing her protection from smears and ridicule and disinformation from the MSM and the nutroots. I don’t believe it’s as clear-cut as you might think.
And till now I haven’t even discussed what happens if Obama falls flat on his face and sinks in the polls?

MSM: Mr. President…

MSM: Mr. President… You’re absolutely brilliant. Your oratorical skills are unmatched. You are multi-racial, multi-cultural, well-educated at the nations’s premier schools…
Obama: Uh, yes, uh, that is true…
MSM: Your wife has great toned arms, she dresses fabulously, you are articulate — oratorical skills — clean and remind us less and less of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. So, Mr. President, what is the secret? What is it that makes you so, so, so special?
Obama: Well, uh, that is a great question, Chip. And… and… uh… I would like to, uh, I would like to tell you what makes me me. Are you ready?
MSM: I am literally sitting here in a pool of my own excrement. The excitement, Mr. President. Oh sweet Jesus the excitement…
Obama: My teleprompter and my twenty-something-year-old speech writer Jon Favreau.
MSM: Uh, come again?
Obama: Like a tennis match, Chip. Have you ever seen me jerk my head back and forth between teleprompters? That is the secret, Chip. My ability to inspire people stems from, uh, from me reading someone else’s inspirational, uh, inspirational feel-good crap from two glass plates standing on opposites sides of me. I’m a good reader, Chip. And when I don’t have the teleprompters I have to rely on a big flat-screen display directly in front of me so that the, uh, so that the folks at home will think I’m talking directly to them.
MSM: OK, this interview is now officially off the record. Jake, stop rolling…
Obama: No, I think, uh, I think the American people deserve to know that I, uh, that I…
MSM: No, they deserve to know nothing. What they need to know is that you’re brilliant, articulate, clean and not Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or that crazy wild-eyed pastor you associated with for twenty years.
Obama: No, I think I need to get this off…
MSM: Shut up! Just shut up! You are really ruining Camelot II for me. You are really blowing my buzz, man.
Obama: I’m sorry, Chip. But… What they say about me is true.
MSM: Shut up, dammit! [breaks into sob] I wanted to believe you were something special. I wanted to believe you were not some idiot community agitator shaking down businesses and Uncle Sam for whatever money-making social scheme you are your cohorts were cooking up! I… I wanted to believe! I WANTED TO BELIEVE!
Obama: Now Chip, uh, you don’t need to get all, uh, all emotional!
MSM: Shut up! You ruined it! They were right! You don’t know what hell you’re doing! You’re just reading someone else’s script!
Obama: Well, uh, this interview isn’t a script.
MSM: [Sobbing and getting visibly angry and red-faced] I’m asking softball questions!!! I’M ASKING SOFTBALL QUESTIONS FOR GOD’S SAKE!
Obama: Now calm down, Chip. Uh, you’re scaring me, uh, me a little here and, uh, I’m getting nervous and smiley.
MSM: You’re punch drunk! YOU’RE PUNCH DRUNK! Yeah! You… you don’t know what you’re saying right now! Uh, you’re exhausted and tied up with pressing international issues ranging from the current economic crisis, and, uh, Afghanistan… and… and… punch drunk! OK, interview done and my editors will fix this whole situation.
Obama: Did you see me in Prague? I’m sure you saw the teleprompters — can’t miss them.
MSM: Shut up! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! Talk about Limbaugh or something, dammit!! Anything! ANYTHING!

I think you are right. Look at the way Sarah Palin responded to this Levi Johnston interview. She is the one that made the kid a celebrity. He is only a young boy who the Palin family have been trashing ever since the kid broke off the engagement with Bristol. I think Sarah has taken over Bristols life and for proof look at Bristols interview where Sarah took over. Palin will never be President. She is too arrogant and stuck on herself to be accepted by the American people.

Jimmy Carter had brother Billy Carter who was a wild drunk who peed in public. John Kennedy had many affairs and was addicted to drugs reportedly. Reagan’s daughter Patty Davis was a wild rock groupie who did drugs and Ron Jr. was a ballet dancer who is rumored to be gay. Bill Clinton had a number of sex scandals and was impeached. Hillary Clinton was under all sorts of ethical/criminal investigations from Whitewater to Travelgate to Filegate. Roger Clinton, Bill’s brother, was a drug addict and convicted felon.
Obama did drugs, has a couple of sex scandals (one was alledgedly with a gay man – Larry Sinclair), illegal alien family members, radical associations, questionable real estate and business dealings with Tony Rezko (a convicted felon)and others, has ties to ACORN & voter fraud, etc. Joe Biden had some major plagiarist scandals and his daughter Ashley has just been videotaped snorting lines and lines of cocaine (and who knows what else). Of course, the MSM doesn’t report these scandals because Obama and Biden are Liberal Democrats as are most of the MSM.
Why are you all pretending as if scandals are something new for politicians or that Palin has to be perfect? I’d say Palin’s too clean. She doesn’t have enough dirt in her background that’s why the MSM tries so hard to smear her by making up lies or by pointing at people around her who are messing up or getting into trouble. By Obama’s standards, Palin has quite a few scandals to go before she can match his record. XD
In the meantime, unemployment could be actually as high as 15% per Robert Reich (he says its probably that if you count people who are no longer looking and part-timers who want full time jobs), businesses are closing, banks are failing, North Korea launched a rocket in defiance of the US and the world is going to hell…..but the MSM wants us to focus on foolish Levi and his utterly stupid gossip. It’s enough to make you go hmmm…
sarahpalinfan99 on April 5, 2009 at 8:14 AM
Where did the networks “force” you to pay attention to Levi. It was the Tyra banks show and Hotair pointed it out. Much like “The Soup” picks out choice clips from the talk shows. If a one legged hooker shows up on the Springer show and claims she is the love child of Reagan that will get no more national airplay than the tyra clip did.
Now you have morphed that into a “MSM wants us to focus…”
The reality is YOU want to focus on minor things and spin it into a conspiracy against Palin.
Bradky on April 5, 2009 at 8:23 AM
George Bush palled around with Jeff Gannon. I wonder went on during those long White House nights after Laura passed out from all the pills…
capitulus on April 5, 2009 at 8:45 AM
If this stupid KID is still wondering why Bristol kicked his arse to the curb, he need only reflect on his recent behavior.
Grow up dumb arse!
hopefloats on April 5, 2009 at 8:51 AM
Dr. Phil would say Capitulus has BDS
and
Sarahpalinfan99 has ODS
Bradky on April 5, 2009 at 8:51 AM
Yes.. let’s look to Bristol Palin as the one we should have our daughters aspire to emulate….
Bradky on April 5, 2009 at 8:52 AM
Bradky,
That was such a lame rebuke … maybe it will get traction, or not …
SP99 is right about the msm hiding the illicit affairs of most any liberal and sensationalizing anything Sarah or her family does….
Have some intellectual honesty please…
jerrytbg on April 5, 2009 at 8:54 AM
Truth hurts sometimes. Is this the conduct you would encourage from your daughter? If she were to get pregnant would your fallback position be that she is some kind of hero to emulate?
Bradky on April 5, 2009 at 9:04 AM
The actions of teenagers hasn’t changed since the begining of time… we’re talking about how coverage in the media will highlight the wrong for those on the right and bury it for those on the left…
again I say, have some intellectual honesty…
jerrytbg on April 5, 2009 at 9:11 AM
So when can we expect the Tyra Banks Show on Biden’s daughter doing cocaine?!?!?!
ToddonCapeCod on April 5, 2009 at 9:23 AM
Can we get an acorn filter on here?
Sarah good for you for sticking up for your family. Keep up the good work.
lexa on April 5, 2009 at 9:25 AM
My point exactly Todd…don’t hold your breath…
jerrytbg on April 5, 2009 at 9:26 AM
You dodged my questions. Intellectual honesty requires both of us agreeing on a definition of “MSM”. I don’t buy that talk shows are the MSM.
When the Fairness Doctrine passes — who woulda thought a conservative would be championing this bill?
Bradky on April 5, 2009 at 9:27 AM
I never say anything about people who chose a different route than serving in the military. There are many a reason to serve and many not to serve. Some just can’t. I have a great respect for the Americans who support us and have to weather the storm of name-calling like chickenhawk because they picked a different path. They still support us.
I have nothing but contempt for those who wouldn’t give military service a second thought because of their liberal political beliefs but think they have some God given right to tell the rest of us that their military is evil for what we do.
You’re in a category all on your own. Someone who hides behind this notion that military service is somehow beneath them because they’re too smart or too important to be caught up in an undertaking that, come on let’s admit it, would be better conducted by some expendable idiot who can’t “cut some particular mustard”. You arrogant fuc@. Who do you think you are? Most officers and NCOs I work with already have Bachelor Degrees of one curriculum or another. Many have Masters already. You would be surprised how many young enlisted people also have quite a bit of college education. We are doctors, lawyers and pilots every bit as good as our civilian counterparts. We have engineers and medical specialists doing the day to day tasks as teenagers that many on the outside journeyman for years over before they’re given similar responsibilities.
I’ve got a Silver Star flight medic in my MEDEVAC company that routinely does point of injury medical miracles that most Emergency Room Doctor would marvel at. All while he’s being shot at with small arms and RPGs.
And I-banking careers? PFFFTTT!!! Please! We have kids in our finance section that administer payroll supervision over 3000 officers, NCOs and soldiers in our brigade. I have a Captain in our brigade S4 section that handles a budget for this 111 helicopter CAB that’s bigger than the majority of most businesses in the US.
They could do anything else to include your pitiful contribution to the workplace. They choose to serve and pass on the big bucks for something you’ll probably never understand.
God, if you really are the typical Romney supporter you guys can have him. You and Poptech and all of your ilk are firmly in the Ron Paul kook brigade in my book.
hawkdriver on April 5, 2009 at 9:34 AM
Funny…indisputable proof of large-scale retardation…the kind that wouldn’t last 8 full hours as acting Governor of any one of the contiguous 50 states, let alone post coherent criticism of one fine, female one from Alaska….
RepubChica on April 5, 2009 at 9:36 AM
I wish I had the time to discuss this with you.
Just know one thing…
Many of the people who voted for the “o” watch these shows all the time…they live for it…and some get their “news” from them… if the morning shows pick this up will you admit there is little difference between the two?
Now, I’m going sailing…nice lite air day…
jerrytbg on April 5, 2009 at 9:36 AM
I bet he isn’t as popular as he thought he was going to be- after going on Banks….well a different kind of popular back up in Alaska. When you flick feces, there is always going to be a volley coming back. This kid is too many kinds of dumb to count.
Dr Evil on April 5, 2009 at 9:38 AM
LOL at the notion of this guy being on any talk show, simply because of the topic. Tyra having a hard time getting guests lately? Something about this story is still “a story”?
Good grief.
Midas on April 5, 2009 at 9:43 AM
The guy just doesn’t get why they like to have him on the show.
They don’t like him, they like to make fun of him , his family and where he’s from.
the_nile on April 5, 2009 at 9:47 AM
Anybody who thinks that Palin NOT going to an Ivy League school hurts her politically is drinking some funky kool-aid.
And yes, Pop and Wally are out of their minds if they think that Romney is the answer over Sarah.
Everybody head over to C4P for another dynamite FACTUAL analysis of Romney vs. Sarah. The thread is titled “Response to PoliGazette” by Joseph Russo.
Hey, I was a marginal Romney voter in the primary but he is as light as a feather measured up to Sarah in just about every angle. It’s not even close.
Read JR’s post. He’s right on.
The hemmoraghing of Romneyites to Palinistas continues at a steady stream.
Sapwolf on April 5, 2009 at 9:53 AM
Are you illiterate or a liar?
What AP said: “If I were her, I’d be at the courthouse on Monday filing for child support to get whatever piece she can of the dirty money Tyra Banks paid this kid…”
Let me explain the concept of child support. It isn’t dependent on ‘whether the kid was in need money’. The child is his, and he shares the responsibility for supporting him.
ProfessorMiao on April 5, 2009 at 9:59 AM
This seems like an extremely one sided portrayal.
I strongly suspect that Sarah Palin and Bristol Palin caused the relationship to fail and that this is exactly what they deserve, being control freaks trying to pussy whip everyone.
Ares on April 5, 2009 at 10:08 AM
Actually looking at that second article, maybe Tod Palin’s half-sister is behind all this and was trying to shake down this poor boy.
Ares on April 5, 2009 at 10:12 AM
This is the intellect of the average voter????? Lord save us.
ProfessorMiao on April 5, 2009 at 10:16 AM
If Youtube existed 33 years ago and every moron with a TV show was willing to have Billy Carter on to embarrass Jimmy, he would have had a hard time getting elected too.

The fact that the Palins let their teenaged daughter share a room with her boyfriend is disturbing and a sign of incredibly poor judgement. How could they possibly have been surprised when she got pregnant?
JA on April 5, 2009 at 10:33 AM
It’s not the sleeping part that gets them in trouble.
Mark was here on April 5, 2009 at 10:36 AM
I think what shocked everyone about this whole episode is that Sarah didn’t have Bristol wearing a pad-locked chastity belt, but rather gave her teenage daughter plenty of trust and leeway like the vast majority of American parents….what’s the big deal?
Biden’s son is a white collar crook and his daughter does blow when she’s not getting coyote ugly on top of bar counters…
People who live in glass houses should reconsider throwing stones...
RepubChica on April 5, 2009 at 10:41 AM
So true. As such, do you really think you should be commenting on this topic?
capitulus on April 5, 2009 at 10:51 AM
The truth is that people don’t blame fathers as much for bad kids. They blame the mother. Sarah Palin is a mother. Ergo, she is going to get blamed more than Biden.
Speedwagon82 on April 5, 2009 at 10:54 AM
Damn…you must have been laying in wait like a pathetic, bedraggled creature with foul baited breath to get the chance to say something to me on this thread….Go dry-hump your Mother, cap–she likes the flaccid between your legs quite a lot I hear…:-0
RepubChica on April 5, 2009 at 10:56 AM
This is exactly what I said. I’m intimately familiar with the concept of child support since my parents have been divorced since I was 7. My mother never filed for anything. They talked among the two of them, and my father simply contributed financially his fair share. My mother would never say: hey, didn’t the jerk just make some money? Let’s steal as much as we can.
But then my family despite their ups and downs has always had much class than this trailer trash of a Palin family.
radiofreevillage on April 5, 2009 at 10:57 AM
Wow, what a foul mouth. I can see why that 6’4″ ‘boyfriend’ is hedging his bets.
