Jason Mattera on Hot Air TV: Abolish greed!
posted at 10:43 am on April 1, 2009 by Michelle
Got a little something, something to celebrate April Fools’ Day. YAF/Hot Air TV special correspondent Jason Mattera mingled with the anti-war moonbats in D.C. last week. Hilarity, as always, ensues. Jason leads a petition drive to ban greed:
And communes with confused socialists (embed fixed):
Viva la revolucion!

Wait a minute. Something, or someone, is missing from this post. I can’t quite put my finger on it…

Great job Jason! I wonder if he skipped showering for a few days just to blend in there?
carbon_footprint on April 1, 2009 at 10:50 AM
That second video with the chick talking about getting combat trained to start a revolution reminds me of Obama’s “civilian force” that is trained to
fight the militarythat is just as well armed and trained as the military.Guardian on April 1, 2009 at 10:53 AM
to paraphrase milton friedman: what’s wrong with greed? can you think of a single economic system that does not run on greed?

Haha, good work Jason.

First video @ 1:46. Because greed is WAY worse than tossing a lit cigarette and smashing it into a dying planet. Right?

I can’t laugh at this. This is how our government thinks.
JohnJ on April 1, 2009 at 11:08 AM
I enjoyed that a lot! Good to know how we need capitalism to create communism, not to mention a military to create peace.

Jason, great job!
Here, so you can smell like you belong.

Jason is waaay too convincing for comfort!
MamaAJ on April 1, 2009 at 11:14 AM
Most of it, especially the free market stuff, was excellent.
But the waterboarding bit went overboard. It’s just too much like the media trying to manufacture “racism” or “homophobia” by setting up a situation and seeing how people respond. The waterboarding wasn’t the woman’s idea – she just giggled at it. Plenty of rightwingers might chuckle at the idea of similarly humiliating, say, Sheehan. It’s a sting. It’s begging for a reaction to make somebody look bad.

Free market socialists?
“What the EFF, David Blaine?!”

Gotta love how he almost goose-steps in the parade at the beginning of the first clip.
James on April 1, 2009 at 11:36 AM
It’s Ed’s April fools joke (maybe on Allah): every post has a Palin picture whether she’s part of the story or not. It brightens the look at HA don’t you think? But obviously Michelle didn’t get the memo.
Christian Conservative on April 1, 2009 at 11:36 AM
Michelle,
Please pay me to walk around asking morons stupid questions.
I’m begging.

Loved it. After watching the G-20 demonstration coverage, it was a lovely palate cleanser. I think Jason needs to go a step further with these socialists.
He needs to invite himself and a few of his smelly buddies to stay with these people. He needs to insist on it. Ya know, they have the means, he has the need. Because that is what they’re preaching after all. Tell them he’ll give them a couple of dollars, to cater to the capitalist pigs, but then he’ll need to raid their fridge. He should probably ask to go through their lovely little bags for some food and water too, ’cause he didn’t get any of that either, and he wants some from those that have some. See how these folks will walk the walk, not.

Yes, it does brighten the look.

Love the Palin pix, but Jason’s look as he was getting out his wallet was too good to pass up!
Michelle on April 1, 2009 at 11:44 AM
Wow, I think these kids who want a “classless society” really need to take a hard look at other countries and see their systems and how they really don’t work for the individual who wants to better him or herself.

I can’t watch until I get home, but I can tell it’s hilarious just from the comments!

Typing through tears of laughter…..
How is possible for these people who’s every aspect of their wonderful lives is the direct result of Capitalism, the cloths they are wearing, the food and water they consume and on and on and on, hate Capitalism. Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees.
I am just not able to “wrap my head around” this contradiction.
So I laugh myself to tears……

Abolish greed? So Al Gore is giving back the 100 million he made on his carbon credit scam?
MB4 on April 1, 2009 at 12:12 PM
Some folks fail to understand the difference between greed and self-interest.
Self-interest is basic human nature. It is not, however, greed or selfishness.
Americans used to know the difference.

I love Jason. He and Zo both need daily 5-minute spots on FoxNews, either during Hannity or Beck.
Next point: Do ANY of these protesters have actual jobs? EVER???

Jason Mattera is hilarious. I love this guy.
Gilda on April 1, 2009 at 12:59 PM
Heh, that from people that are protesting against war…that’s rich! All I can say is the lefty thumb sucking pacifists better start their “combat” training soon as those of us on the right have a huge headstart on them when it comes to knowledge of and use of weapons…BRING IT ON LEFTIES…YOU DON’T STAND A CHANCE!
Liberty or Death on April 1, 2009 at 12:59 PM
Yes it is awesome but not unexpected considering the intelligence level of your typical lefty liberal/socialist pacifist! In fact I seem to remember a video of Jason at another rally successfully getting these mental giants to sign another petition to ban Hydrogen-dioxide…also known as WATER….BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Signing a petition to ban water…that in of itself proves how ignorant and uninformed most lefties are, they will sign anything they believe fights “the powers that be” when in reality all they are doing is proving their ignorance and removing all doubt that they are ill informed and no not what they are talking about! Instead of doing actual research (something that requires them to do actual work) they just blindly sign petitions to be in with the “cool rebels” yet anyone with half a brain sees them for what they truly are, rebels without a clue!
What a bunch of morons!

Jason, Dude, you are awesome. I love your work!
I am ROTFLMAO at work right now. If my students came in they’d see me crying!
I especially love how you need capitalism to get the socialist & communist word out.
These ‘people’ are so absolutely clueless about real life. I don’t know how they can even breath on their own.
I wish they could get shipped off to Mao-land just so they could ‘test’ their ‘ideas’.
Badger40 on April 1, 2009 at 1:50 PM
Of course, we all know that greed won’t go away (nor should it if rights are respected), it just changes who is acting on it. The gov’t and socialist/communists greed is for power, control and other people’s money.
threeCents on April 1, 2009 at 1:59 PM
Pathetic. How can somewone get so demented as these thumb sucking flunkies. And what is even more pathetic is that these muckheads seem to believe their own dribble. Where were these people educated?

Hey Jason, well done. I know the smell must have been overwelming. Let me help. A little trick I learned from Grateful Dead concerts I attended back in the day…Hang those little smelly pine tree things from both your ears. Okay…go home, smell ya later!
soulsirkus on April 1, 2009 at 2:35 PM
No they are thieves. They are the same kids that follow groups like Fish. And when they go the music festivals they pick pocket and take what ever is convenient. When they were in New Orleans for Jazz Fest 5 or so years ago the personal theft in the french quarter was amazing and they had this system of blatant purse snatching and pick pocketing where instigator would pass it on immediately to another and another. So that in a large crowd you wouldn’t be able to catch the purse or wallet. They didn’t care if you caught them.
nolapol on April 1, 2009 at 2:40 PM
I’m a student at UMass Amherst, and I can tell you these people really exist. I’ve argued a few times with the Socialist Worker newspaper people about selling their paper for a dollar while the conservative newspaper here is free. They give the same canned “We live in a capitalist society” answer every time, I think they’re trained to say that.

State run colleges. Ward Churchill anyone?
kirkill on April 1, 2009 at 2:59 PM
I know this was meant to be comedy, but it was actually scary.
DFCtomm on April 1, 2009 at 3:01 PM
Bull, she didn’t just giggle, and Jason didn’t make her say that the conservatives he mentioned caused millions of people to be miserable, or whatever unintelligible screed she threw out there.
I wouldn’t say Sheehan needs waterboarding, I say maybe she should be up on charges for treason, but there is a BIG difference between conservatives and liberals in these situations.
kirkill on April 1, 2009 at 3:04 PM
It’s not really all that funny, it is incredibly sad. I’d bet the communista has a university ‘education’ paid for by her parents, who probably thought she’d be a better person for it.
How the hell did large swathes of the population get this brainwashed? There’s the real national security question people should be asking.
Gaunilon on April 1, 2009 at 3:08 PM
If it werent for the fact that Jason was there I wouldve sworn thats any crowd at a lollipalooza concert circa 1995.

Kevin43 on April 1, 2009 at 3:38 PM
It would be great if somebody (Jason maybe?) knew the name of that idiot communist girl with the socialist magazine. There is enough of her on camera spouting pure Marxist doctrine and advocating the overthoprw of our government so that in the event this moron does run for political office someday this could be used to defeat her.

Perfect Leninism. Tear everything down, and then…something will happen.
Ignorance is curable. Idiocy is chronic.
warbaby on April 1, 2009 at 4:10 PM
Why don’t these idiots just read about how Lenin abandoned socialism in 1921 with his New Economic Policy (NEP)…
ebrawer on April 1, 2009 at 4:23 PM
I wonder if the second guy knew that if a state existed where printing a newspaper didn’t cost anything, he wouldn’t need a revolution. It would have already happened, and he would be living a happy, impoverished, monitored existence for the rest of his short life.
winoceros on April 1, 2009 at 4:41 PM
They believe history is irrelevant because it lead to the current system.
They are idiots, and thus dependent on the people they hate fore their very lives.

I’m old enough to remember the 60′s and these filthy, longhaired scum look identical to their parents who spawned them. I just wish to hell that their ‘rents had hidden the family photo albums crammed with pictures of themselves from Woodstock, Haight-Ashbury, Berkley, the 68 Democrat Convention and so on.
Their kids are so stupid that they can’t think for themselves; if they had any balls they’d rebel against the harebrained unworkable beliefs of their parents. These kids are falling into the same rut of thoughtless, brainless Lava Lamp Lemming attitudes that their parents embraced.
It’s like Dumbass v1.0 has brought forth Dumbass v2.0
