I have a client who told me she had family members (yes, plural) who are in therapy because of their fears of global warming.

I got an email from Michael Steele today “surveying” … good gawd, I couldn’t even open it.

These freaks at the top of the RNC don’t know where they stand? They don’t know where the rank-and-file stand?

Change the primaries STEELE, so we don’t get another McLAME. That should have been JOB #1.

Then resign because you have no clue what you are doing. You are all just politicians, pretty boys strapping on kneepads for the next vote.

We need to spread the truth about the left’s political agenda and show that it does not comply with the Constitution. Also, many must understand that the truth is not always pretty.

The GOP loses trust because of their “compassion”. Shouting “cut spending” and then creating Medicare Part Z tells voters that you’re not serious about your core beliefs. And REAL compassion isn’t doing what’s popular, it’s doing what’s right. Here’s why.

Government is not the answer. The Feds cannot create any product or service more efficiently than the private sector. They don’t have a better idea what the public wants. For the government to spend money on social programs, they must first confiscate that money from people who might otherwise help their neighbors. Or they confiscate the money from the unborn. The people, left to their own devices, are generous. To take money from the generous in the name of compassion is an atrocity.

Put in simpler terms – when’s the last time Uncle Sam stopped by a car-wash fundraiser? What’s the Federal Budget for Girl Scout cookies? Compare a Habitat house with a gov’t-run housing project. By taking money out of the economy, Obama is reducing the personal charity that really helps people.

Stand up for the Constitution, and oppose profligate spending.

Red State needs to improve it. The 10 trillion number is too closely associated with our existing 10-11 trillion accumulated national debt. Red State should emphasize that Obama will add that much [and more in unfunded liabilities] if he has his way. I’m concerned the 10-11 trillion in debt will be mixed up with another 10 trillion in debt. In other words, there’s 10 trillion of debt since 1776, and then there’s 10 trillion of Obama debt.

I agree. The numbers are so big that people can’t comprehend them, kind of like astronomy in that regard.

When people are talking about these debts, especially when comparing billions to trillions, they should call a trillion “1,000 billion”. 110,000 billion just sounds bigger and more honest that 11 trillion.

As for the ad, I wish the GOP had made it and that I was seeing it every day on TV.

I remember when Billy Jeff was president, in one of his early SotU addresses he outlined a bunch of new spending proposals.

The critics later added up the figures and the total came to $4 trillion. Pundits on the right and left laughed about it, saying it would never be done, as it was too costly.

That was only about a dozen years ago. Look at what we have now. Roughly three times that amount spent in the matter of a few months. And while we’re in the middle of a recession, the worst possible time.

We are screwed beyond the point of recovery. I believe the technical term is FUBAR.

Aren’t the greeniks looking to “decrease the surplus population” to “save the planet”? Better throw in a heaping helpful of double, maybe even triple night shifts for those young ‘uns.

Of course, this is all predicated on the assumption that this generation actually intends to pay this debt off, which is a whole mind game of its own. But given the prevailing entitlement ideology they’re being weaned on, I’m betting the few wee ones not eaten by Gore to service his own brand of “excess limits”, will be waiting around wondering where all the “help” went, you know, the $750 million of online donations army-worth of grassroots “pledgers” lining up around the block to rebuild the country.

Surely you’ve seen them. Oh but wait, maybe those were all just illegal immigrant aunties I’ve been seeing everywhere, “helping” out by living here and not paying taxes. Nah, they wouldn’t dream of taking jobs and tax revenue away from those poor children and their enormous mountain of debt. Would they?
