Confirmed: Queen’s iPod includes Obama’s speeches

posted at 7:37 pm on April 1, 2009 by Allahpundit

Hey, you never know when Hopenchange fee-vah might strike. She could be sitting there, listening to show tunes, and suddenly think, “You know what I’m in the mood for? Obama’s 2004 convention speech.” Only a quick menu-scroll away.

And to think, you guys thought this gift wasn’t special.

Uploaded onto the iPod:

* Photos from the Queen’s 2007 White House State Visit
* Photos from the Queen’s 2007 Jamestown, Va., Visit
* Photos from the Queen’s 2007 Richmond, Va., Visit
* Video from the Queen’s 1957 Jamestown Visit
* Video from the Queen’s 2007 Jamestown Visit
* Video from the Queen’s 2007 Richmond Visit
* Photos from President Obama’s Inauguration
* Audio of then-state senator Obama’s speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, and
* Audio of President Obama 2009 Inauguration Address

Here’s the songlist. Believe it or not, Jake Tapper’s eating crap from the left for blogging this story even though, had Bush pulled something like this, (a) it would be in constant rotation on MSNBC and likely have been the top story on “Countdown,” and (b) the same nutroots morons who are hassling JT would have wet themselves with glee over the hay they could make from it. Exit question: How’d Team Barry forget to pre-load that ass-covering speech on race he gave last year — which, I believe, was the last time he dared to utter a syllable on the subject? Isn’t that supposed to be the greatest work of American literature since “Huckleberry Finn” or something? Way to cheap out on the Queen!

The MSM isn’t covering this. It’s Thursday morning, & I’ve still seen no one else refer to BHO’s speeches being loaded on the iPod.

Oh man I was going to give The One a thumbs up for a creative and thoughtful gift and I would have if he hadn’t put himself on the i-pod. What a narcissist.

It’s almost hopeless dealing with them, reaganaut. You have to remember, you’re dealing with the crusading zealots of a violently intolerant, narrow-minded, puritanical, secular religion. Added to that, many of these individuals have the emotional maturity of spoiled children–which is what several of them like as not are. Many if not all of these O’bots have never put in an honest day’s work in their lives–they’ve pretty much had everything given to them–just like their Papa ‘Bama. They want to be serfs. They want to be taken care of. And they hate the fact that there still those of us who insist on thinking for ourselves and living our own lives.

I’d pity them except for the fact that they disgust me so much.

Yes, she already has an Ipod, but she doesn’t have one from The Messiah!

And what better gift from The Messiah to a possible convert than copies of his sermons?

Now, can we please stop this needlessly childish complaining against Dear Leader?

You see? When you talk and think like a Liberal, everything this a-hat does makes perfect and complete sense…

catmman on April 2, 2009 at 8:40 AM

As Defender of the Faith (Church of England), QE should be happy to receive the words and visage of the messiah in ipod form.
Maybe they should set up a special display at Buckingham Palace of all the gifts Ogabe gives to them. Title it: Insults to the Crown.

Apparently, its not so much his grades that they are afraid to expose. Its the type of courses and professors that he needs to hide.

This information would have been a deal killer for the American people, I guess.

Saltysam on April 2, 2009 at 8:54 AM

Three things:

Why didn’t The One just give her a few trillion? Everyone else gets that.

Has anyone checked the possible involvement of Chrissy Matthews in the wonderful gay song selection?

I have it on good authority that the State Department selected fab gifts for Brown. Those gifts were gone — missing without a trace! Surprisingly, the valuable items were in a room with only Cabinet member access. There are no clues — but a smaller truck from the same company that moved the Clintons out was seen on the property at about the right time.

You know what would be hysterical? If the Queen took the iPod and erased it completely. Then installed all of Winston Churchill’s greatest speeches from WW2.

Then sent it back to little hussein and his dopey wife neatly gift-wrapped with a note:

“Here Mr. President. Maybe you’ll learn something.”

ErinF on April 2, 2009 at 9:17 AM

You guys don’t understand the genius of the iPod — now there is no question for future visits what to get the Queen — iTunes gift cards. It’s like an automatic gift. It just keeps giving.

Ferris on April 2, 2009 at 9:18 AM

I told everyone in my office that this was on the ipod. It’s the verbal hypnosis. I’m not kidding.

She did well, right up until youngTXcon found a copy on eBay for 70 bucks. Bigolddog found one on eBay for $15. Now it’s just a matter of “How low can you go…”

As for banning, that’s something Huffpost and dailykos bloggers do to their adversaries. We just have to be on our game, because there is competition here. We may not think it’s very good competition, but it’s there and they do score every once in a while.

I’m sorry, I don’t have time to read all of your comments yet, but I thought this was a good comparison from a blogger on Ace of the classless Bush compared to the classy messiah.

“Could this guy really be out to sink the United States? It sounds like a movie script.

Just so we admit that Bush had his classless moments as well lets compare…

President and Mrs. Bush gave Her Majesty a bronze statuette “High Desert Princess” with a personal inscription on the bottom of the base. It is a replica of the original life size statue that is located in front of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in Ft. Worth, Texas.

President and Mrs. Bush gave The Prince Philip an exclusive sterling silver eagle box by Tiffany & Co. with personal inscription on the inside lid.

President and Mrs. Bush gave Their Majesties a leather presentation box filled with a collection of documents from the National Archives. One of the items was a copy of an original letter from President Roosevelt to her father, King George, written in 1938. There were also photos from previous royal visits and a DVD of the footage from the Queen’s visit to the United States when she was Princess Elizabeth in 1951.
Sure glad we have the Harvard man in there instead of the Texas hillbilly!”
He’s a joke and so is his administration! So much for taking 500 people with him – to teach him what?

President Reagan’s speeches should have been on the iPod. He is the only US President to have been invited to stay overnight at the Queen’s favorite residence, Windsor Castle. He and the Queen went riding together.

GWB is the only other President she has ever invited to visit her at Windsor Castle. He and Laura were there last summer.

As I said in the other thread, the Queen may not say anything publicly, but these actions indicate a great deal.

But since the queen usually receives heads of state at Buckingham Palace in London, any invitation to Windsor is considered special, royal staffers said.

People don’t necessarily like the truth and want to forget the Hitler years. But, you’re correct and there are many other comparison that are interesting.

Hitler had a messianic view of himself
Obama has a messianic view of himself

Hitler was able to speak to the masses with smoke and mirrors
Obama is able to speak to the masses with smoke and mirrors

Hitler was in awe of the spartans
Obama accepted his nomination with the back drop of a greek temple

Hitler created infrastructure projects
Obama has created infrastructure projects

Hitler had horrible relationship with his father
Obama had horrible relationship with his father

Hitler mother died of breast cancer he blamed the jewish doctor
Obama mother died of ovarian cancer he blames the US healthcare system

Those are just a few

Totus didn’t even get credit for the speeches, I bet. I STILL cannot grasp how this guy reading from a teleprompter gets half the world so excited. I’m convinced this is just more Bush derangement syndrome. They grasped at straws and then worshipped Baal.

I’m embarrasses about the numbers. Of course 40 million people X 1 million each is hardly 40 million. DUH. Sorry! However still a lot less than the trillion.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, forget it. It’s about an earlier post.

What the heck does she have on when she’s speaking to a London school? Maybe from the salvation army store? Argyle all over the sleeves.

Songs on the iPod are:

“Oklahoma!”

“If I Loved You,” Jan Clayton, “Carousel”

“You’ll Never Walk Alone,” Jan Clayton, “Carousel”

“There’s No Business Like Show Business,” Ethel Merman, “Annie Get Your Gun”

“Once in Love with Amy (Where’s Charley?),” Ray Bolger

“Some Enchanted Evening,” “South Pacific”

“Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” Carol Channing, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”

“Getting to Know You,” Gertrude Lawrence, “The King and I”

“Shall We Dance?” Gertrude Lawrence, “The King and I”

“I Could Have Danced All Night,” Julie Andrews, “My Fair Lady”

“I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” Rex Harrison, “My Fair Lady”

“The Party’s Over (Bells Are Ringing),” Judy Holliday

I didn’t know the Queen of England was a gay guy. Guess that’s where “queen” comes from.
