Confirmed: Queen’s iPod includes Obama’s speeches

Hey, you never know when Hopenchange fee-vah might strike. She could be sitting there, listening to show tunes, and suddenly think, “You know what I’m in the mood for? Obama’s 2004 convention speech.” Only a quick menu-scroll away.

And to think, you guys thought this gift wasn’t special.

Uploaded onto the iPod:

* Photos from the Queen’s 2007 White House State Visit
* Photos from the Queen’s 2007 Jamestown, Va., Visit
* Photos from the Queen’s 2007 Richmond, Va., Visit
* Video from the Queen’s 1957 Jamestown Visit
* Video from the Queen’s 2007 Jamestown Visit
* Video from the Queen’s 2007 Richmond Visit
* Photos from President Obama’s Inauguration
* Audio of then-state senator Obama’s speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, and
* Audio of President Obama 2009 Inauguration Address

Here’s the songlist. Believe it or not, Jake Tapper’s eating crap from the left for blogging this story even though, had Bush pulled something like this, (a) it would be in constant rotation on MSNBC and likely have been the top story on “Countdown,” and (b) the same nutroots morons who are hassling JT would have wet themselves with glee over the hay they could make from it. Exit question: How’d Team Barry forget to pre-load that ass-covering speech on race he gave last year — which, I believe, was the last time he dared to utter a syllable on the subject? Isn’t that supposed to be the greatest work of American literature since “Huckleberry Finn” or something? Way to cheap out on the Queen!

Here’s the songlist.

Okay, maybe this gift isn’t as bad as it sounds. From the link..

The iPod was given to accompany a rare coffee table book of songs by composers Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, which Obama also gave the queen.

So, depending on the book and how rare it actually is… maybe it’s okay.

Well I’m actually torn because… she did give Obama a picture of herself… but she is the Queen of England, an icon of England so it doesn’t seem all that tacky when she does it.

But they say Obama is an icon. And his speeches will help prove that the American people who voted for him were totally duped by him. Man has it been four years yet? I just want to get through this pain so we can start fixing all the stuff he is breaking.

He should have put Reagan’s speeches on the iPod!

I just posted this on the other thread.

WINDSOR CASTLE, England Twenty-six years after Ronald Reagan rode horses here with Queen Elizabeth II, President Bush flew to Windsor Castle outside London on Sunday for a quick visit with England’s reigning monarch.

Bush and first lady Laura Bush had sandwiches, cake and, of course, afternoon tea with the queen and her husband, Prince Philip, marking only the second time that Elizabeth has invited a U.S. leader to her favorite official residence

Elizabeth, 82, has met every U.S. president except Lyndon B. Johnson since her reign began in 1952. Unlike Reagan’s visit to Windsor, which included an overnight stay, Bush’s stop was not considered an official state visit, British officials said.

But since the queen usually receives heads of state at Buckingham Palace in London, any invitation to Windsor is considered special, royal staffers said.

Palin could take a dump on the Queen’s shoes and you’d find a way to spin it as a proper gift within protocol.

The Queen is well known for her love of music and especially theatrical musicals. Two seconds on Google would have revealed that but unfortunately, people seem to require being beaten with a cluebat.

The music is from the PBS series Broadway: The American Musical.
