Breaking news: Official Chris Matthews leg thrill reported

posted at 8:23 pm on April 1, 2009 by Allahpundit

Sounds like a big one, too, but then it’s been building for a few days. Obama and his wife got on a helicopter and then they got on a plane and then they met some world leaders and they looked pretty chipper about the whole deal. Ergo, leg thrill. I’m just glad Matthews finally has an outlet for his long dormant Camelot-encoded hagiographical impulses. He’s waited 45 years to effuse about presidential celebrity. He deserves a little jiggly leg now and then.

What do you suppose would happen if we showed him this clip? Click the image to watch.

It would probably get x-rated. And the spittle-flecks…my god, the spittle flecks….

Nah, I think he got this excited about George and Laura Bush too. I will see if I can find a clip. BRB

carbon_footprint on April 1, 2009 at 8:26 PM

Gah. Why did I just watch that?

Redhead Infidel on April 1, 2009 at 8:29 PM

It is really quite sad that Matthews got that excited about this particular event.

His personal life must be a giant void.

myrenovations on April 1, 2009 at 8:29 PM

Matthews is a weirdo.

Robert_Paulson on April 1, 2009 at 8:30 PM

I wonder if he makes Mrs. Matthews dress up like Michelle or Obama.

Well, he did state that his job was to “Make sure that the Obama Presidency is a success.”

And here I thought his checks were signed by Zucker.

Hey Chris! Just remember:

Eilberg — 76%
Matthews — 24%

Robert_Paulson on April 1, 2009 at 8:34 PM

Hey Chris may be thrilled. But according to the MailOnline the Brits are less so… they get their dig into Bush but… at least this writer sees what I see… a pretty boy out of his depth. Link on Drudge about Brown laughing.

By the way I have yet to eat dinner… I don’t need an image of Chris Matthews ummm well you know.

petunia on April 1, 2009 at 8:37 PM

I did not watch it because I’m not into immature daft lemmings acting their nature in front of a camera hoping people will hop up and down in excited agreement with him.

In short, he’s an idiot and I’m not giving him any attention.

Matthews knows that the President doesn’t really love Michelle, that he just needs her for appearances. Chris knows where Obama’s heart really lies. He knows what Obama really wants. And he’s ready, whenever the President needs him…he’s ready…He’ll go to Europe for him…he’d go anywhere for Him…

But for now Chris waits. Softly sobbing into his Haagen-Daz while cutting himself.

29Victor on April 1, 2009 at 8:44 PM

The world (and suckers like Matthews) “like” the Obamas because they are a symbol of the weakening of America.

The rival powers are glad to see us losing strength~ as a incompetent neophyte and unqualified junior pol like Obama coming to office shows~ and those at home, who do not like America being so powerful, and such a “global bully” (of the Matthews ilk) unconsciously register this same “it is nice to see America humbled” smugness.

Obama in the Oval Office means: “America is faltering and becoming weak“.

That is the only reason the world cheers his symbol.

They love us to lose.

Envious peckers all.

Dandapani on April 1, 2009 at 8:32 PM

I’ve been paying attention to all the photos of Michelle on display on the magazines at checkout counters. Am I the only one who has noticed the degree of airbrushing and photoshopping they’ve done to her mug? I saw one today where she had the cutest little chin and a light brown perfectly smooth complexion. I mean, give me a break.

I’m half expecting we will all soon drown in a sunami of drool from the MSM bootlickers going ga-ga over the Obamas.

fogw on April 1, 2009 at 8:46 PM

29Victor on April 1, 2009 at 8:44 PM

One point you forgot to add: Obama doesn’t just need her for appearances; I’ll be willing to bet he’s scared to death of Michelle. If he tries to divorce her, she’s rip one of his legs off and beat him with the soggy end.

austinnelly on April 1, 2009 at 8:47 PM

LOIS ROMANO, WASHINGTON POST: One of the women I interviewed in this story said what she liked about them is that they looked like they had just won the lottery

Maybe this is a fitting analogy. It seems that most lottery winners get a ton of cash (power) that they’re not accustomed to having (no executive experience). They then find that they’re surrounded by a bunch of people with their hands out (unions, congress, the list goes on). Not knowing how to handle their newfound wealth (power), they make unwise spending decisions (AIG, GM, etc…). Ultimately, they blow all of that dough (massive deficits in the next few years) and find themselves living in a trailer park with nothing to their name (we can only hope!)

But, maybe that’s just me

Meanwhile the DNC is mocking Michael Steele and the GOP for losing the NY 20th race.

Seems they are cocksure they have won hmm…..

The NRCC and the RNC each outspent the DCCC and the DNC, and major surrogates helped Tedisco fill his campaign coffers in a district in which as recently as 2004 Republican John Sweeney defeated his Democratic opponent by over 30 percent.

REPUBLICANS HOLD A SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE IN NY20 – AND TEDISCO COULD STILL NOT PULL AWAY

Embarassing. Note to the girls: they did just win the lottery! With no record of accomplishment, a history of radicalism and advocacy ballot stuffing by the media…. clearly did beat the odds that would have doomed other candidates.

Del Dolemonte on April 1, 2009 at 9:20 PM

I can’t watch that a$$clown, but the comments are fun to read :)

You know, this whole bunch just doesn’t scream leadership. It screams Hollywood. Interesting to see what groundbreaking change is going to come of this meeting. I just don’t see anyone there who could possibly pull off saving the economy.

scalleywag on April 1, 2009 at 9:20 PM

Poor Chris … he’s already “ruing” the day he talked about that “Thrill” …

No matter what he does in his career … he’ll always be known for that one instant in time when he became enthralled in exclamatory sexual “bliss” for “The One”.

He’s even now turned to mocking it himself in an attempt to minimize the damage.

Have you never seen any pictures of Jackie when she was First Lady?

Here are some from her famous May 1961 visit to Paris.

Overseas trips were a particular challenge, with wardrobes carefully designed to echo the local culture.

“The planning was constant, the logistical invasion of every country she visited, every party she attended — the cloth, the weather, the sensitivity of the people and what they wanted to see her in,” Cassini said in 1995.
