Video: ‘Zo on the Special Olympics gaffe and Obama’s spending

posted at 9:09 pm on March 30, 2009 by Allahpundit

Hiring this guy was the best decision Pajamas TV ever made. “If you come down on Obama for being politically incorrect, then you help the liberals along,” he insists, a sentiment with which I emphatically agree but which most of you evidently don’t. In any case, the crux of his argument is in the second clip. Exit question: Is it really true that conservative Republicans look both ways before crossing the street on spending? It’s certainly not vis-a-vis any mainstream any conservative we’ve seen lately.

This is the guy that did the rap-metal song about ANWR and then farted into his gas tank, right?

Nice to see that he’s shortened his rants. Short attention span media, ya gotta love it.

You can’t just have a blanket standard of everything is either “100% politically correct” or not. You have to evaluate every accusation of “incorrectness”. What Obama said was hurtful & inappropriate.

If you come down on Obama for being politically incorrect, then you help the liberals along

No, I just hold the President’s public statements to a higher standard than normal discourse. Does opposition to “political correctness” have to mean anything and everything is acceptable?

It’s not the end of the world. It’s not that big of a deal. But it does show Obama to be a bit of a classless jerk. What other President in recent history would have said something like that?

The production value is much better than the YouTube videos he did. Watch it in HD. This guy is awesome.

Bishop on March 30, 2009 at 9:30 PM

As I’ve mentioned before, W’s spending, or refusal to veto the house and senates wild ass spending sprees comes from his fears about the teetering support, both financial and popular, for efforts in Iraq forced him to sign any and everything that crossed his desk. It didn’t take long for repubs to get in on the pork spree once it got started.

THIS is perhaps the worst thing W did during his 2 terms, the worst was not Iraq, it was folding to extortion from the house and senate that put this economy in a titty twister.

Zo is awesome – but I’m not understanding why Allah likes him so much – Zo is NOT a McCain Republican – more like a Rush Limbaugh guy.

I would like to see … say a 10 city tour – with Rush, Zo, Michelle, Hannity, Levin, Palin, Coulter … with some entertainment provided by Nugent and Joe Perry.

A complete RED MEAT tour to set the stage for a grassroots uprising to retake this country and put it back on course.

One can dream.

An amazing phenomenon coming from the folks who claim to be the champions of “Black America”.

It’s more than anger; it’s fear, too. They know that once the charade is over and they are exposed, their task becomes exponentially more difficult.

I couldn’t agree more and I also think the outrage over the special Olympics joke was just silly politically correct politics in spite of the double standard against conservatives on such things. I love watching Zo videos. I think he has a real ability to connect with people.

Dollayo on March 31, 2009 at 1:40 AM

If you come down on Obama for being politically incorrect, then you help the liberals along

Allahpundit, you don’t understand what political correctness is. The term is something the progressivist/marxist/fascists use to keep each other in check. If one were to suggest that Obama were an affirmative action President, for example, that would be politically incorrect, because it suggests that affirmative action lowers the bar, resulting in a lower quality of selection. It doesn’t show a properly progressive sensitivity to the plight of the African American.

Saying a low bowling score is “like the Special Olympics” is not politically incorrect. It’s just… asinine. It doesn’t mean he slipped up on his doctrine, it just means he’s an insensitive dick.

joe_doufu on March 31, 2009 at 1:42 AM

If one were to suggest that Obama were an affirmative action President, for example, that would be politically incorrect right on the money…

Fixed that for ya…0bama’s been an Affirmative Action everything.

His presidency is no different and truth of the matter is, a WHOLE LOTTA people lowered their presidential standards to justify: his candidacy, his nomination aaaaaand, ultimately, election.

Coming soon: Lowered standards to excuse every last catostrophic misstep he makes AS president!

And that right there folks will be Affirmative Action’s lasting legacy: got the least capable president in history into office and crippled the country.

I’m sure there were some who called him on PCness. I called his supporters on the hypocrisy , which I very much believe should be done with full force.

It’s the lack of doing this which has helped get us into this PC mess in which we now live. Zo is right 95% of the time; This is not one of those times.

I just don’t get this “atheist can’t be conservative” idea – can anyone explain?

Ann on March 31, 2009 at 9:21AM

I’m an agnostic and have no problem at all with my fellow conservative Christians. They seem dedicated to our Constitution just like me. I have never met one who wanted to establish a national religion and I know it is their right to peacefully practice the free exercise thereof. I don’t care if my money says “God” on it and would be happy if every high school student could read the bible. I don’t fear Christians at all, most seem like nice people. I know they can’t impose their faith upon me without my help. Nobody can control my mind but me. I have never been ostracized or discriminated against by any of them. As for abortion, I don’t need a God to tell me an unborn child is a human being, science tells me it’s a human being.

fleiter on March 31, 2009 at 10:13 AM

Zo strikes me as THE GUY who could possibly educate the dumb mass under-30 set about liberty and opportunity. Can you image if he did a new 45-second clip each week about the Constitution, civil liberties, the free market, etc. — maybe the importance of the 9th & 10th amendments — with a URL that would take the viewer to more in-depth (but still ‘hip’) info? Play it on shows that we conservatives don’t watch — Comedy Channel, American Idol, that sort of thing. Other than throwing money in the pot, we old folks need to keep our mitts out of the product, too. It doesn’t need to speak to us, but to the unconverted.

Which is exactly why we really DON’T need Zo on the Hannity/Limbaugh/Ingraham circuit. We have enough priests in the pulpits; what we need are some street evangelists out there, “winning lost souls”.

Someone has got to reach the youth of this country or we’re cooked. Unless someone has a better suggestion, I say we find a way to get Zo out there.

RegularJoe on March 31, 2009 at 10:27 AM

Ummm… I need to quit trying to watch this guy before my second cup of coffee. He is all twitchy and talkin all fast an stuff. Woah Zo chill a lil.

His point on PC is dead on though. I HATE having to check my speech all the time. I never understood a lot of the hands off requirements on all these groups. I recall back when Tropic Thunder was being attacked for their retard jokes. I barely noticed any real controversy, since these guys were bashing on pretty much everything.
