Fascism means you can do what you want except when it contradicts the state’s interests. This generally means both individuals and business.

In the traditional Socialism model you have government running business and distributing profits.

In the Neo-Socialist model you can do however you want, but the state will take most of your profits(business) or income(individual) and redistribute them as they see fit.

In the end its not liberty and therefore unacceptable, but its crazy how people see the above three scenarios as that different…

Quick question – how does the heater, defroster and air conditioner work in an electric or hybrid car?

Not overly long answer, Darwin-t- On a hybrid, the HVAC will function identically to a “normal” car- that is, you will have a cooling system feeding the heater, the A/C compressor will be driven by the motor, and the defroster will continue to vent out to the windshield much as it always has. I’m not 100% positive on the electric car, but I can imagine that as you drive, the drive motor will power the compressor (it may wind up cycling on/off to conserve power- A/C takes quite a bit to power it), and there may be a smaller drive motor dedicated to the compressor (again, with the on/off cycling) to run the A/C during extended idling times. The heater may wind up being a couple of different things- it could be a heated oil or liquid type, much like a radiator type heater in your house, or it could be a resistive wire type (you know- where the wires glow, and send out heat), or it may wind up being a combination. Keep in mind that this is all very power-intensive, and requires a lot of energy to operate. The defroster may be akin to the regular car type, directing warm air from the liquid radiator heater, or it could be a grid or a metallic film that is switched on- just like the rear defrost on your car. Note that the film-type requires “I think” 240VAC to power that up- it needs a special, very expensive alternator to run.

40,000.00-19,500.00 = 20,500
20,500/2.25 = 9111 gals of gas
you only have to drive the volt 209,555 mile to hit break even point.
this doesn’t take ino account increased finance charges, insurance costs , etc.

But let’s be realistic here. It has nothing to do with the auto industry.

It has everything to do with the 1 to 2 million votes that are ironclad with the government guaranteeing the survival of the UAW, and even more tellingly, of the retirees pensions and health benefits.

Do ya think that might have somethin to do with it?

I can see the Michelle Obama vehicle now: mean looking headlights, a disproportionately-sized grill, thick tires, and a huge back end.
