Biden should thank the PREVIOUS President of Spain (Jose Aznar) for his TRUE help he offered us in Iraq.

He would be following in the footsteps of the Big O, who thanked FORMER French President Jacques Chirac and looked forward to “working with him the next four years”, rather than CURRENT French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is more Pro-American than Chirac was.

By the way, Zapatero is Spanish for “shoe-maker”. I wonder if he made the shoes someone threw at George W. Bush?

During the Bush administration, I was convinced that the State Department was functioning as a shadow government with the intent to undermine Bush’s presidency. This was evidenced in how they supported various diplomatic missions and other activities.

Now, I’m not so sure that they were against Bush as much as initially thought. All of these gaffes: the embarrassing DVD gift to Brown, the mistaking of O’s counterpart in Italy, the Hillary gaffe in Mexico, and now this Biden gaffe should have never happened. State has protocol officers and briefers who are supposed to make sure that these kinds of things are handled appropriately. So, either someone in State hates The One even more than they hated Bush, or the Obama administration is ignoring their protocol officers. Something is wrong with this picture.

Yeah, getaclue is a laugh riot. You should witness its frantic spin cycle over on the Pakistan thread. It claims to support the troops, but when asked if it supported those same troops in 2004, it instantly turns itself off and refuses to answer.
