Video: The funniest thing Meghan McCain’s ever seen
posted at 8:30 pm on March 28, 2009 by Allahpundit
No foolin’. She sent out the word on Twitter a little more than an hour ago that this is now officially the gold standard of comedy in the McCain household. It’s so painfully lame that I forced myself to reread her Tweets in desperate search of a hint of sarcasm. No dice. Thus do crushes die, my friends.
If you need something to wash the taste of unfunny out of your mouth, I recommend “Captain Coulier, Space Explorer” (content warning). Captain Kirk as a slacker jackass bored nearly to tears by space? What could go wrong?
Update (Ed): Er, wasn’t this the same young lady who got so offended over cracks about her weight? Quite the hypocrite.

I’ve never seen McCain’s daughter on TV, nor paid any attention to any blog posts about her here, or elsewhere. As a matter of fact, I was a little curious what all the hub-bub was about the last couple of weeks or so. But not enough to actually go out of my way.
But the above quote regarding the Daily Show tells me all I need to know about her. And it ain’t good.
Thank you, Mr. Darth Executor, for your pithy and succinct summmation of Meaghan McCain. Now I can go back to ignoring her. Time is one thing we can never get back, and now I won’t be wasting any more on Ms. McCain. And that, my friends, is a good thing.
Dreadnought on March 28, 2009 at 11:13 PM
first of attack someones weight is the same as attacking someones color or race. when to it become ok to degrade someone on their looks. There is new research out there that suggests weight gain can be for many reason besides just eating to much. like caught by a virus, like evolutionary to protect the species in times of famine, DNA, working conditions etc. Also believe this or not but there are alot of famine resistent people out there and attack the group will not when you many votes at the ballot box.
That being said whoever wrote this skit has NO idea what Rush says. As no idea what a dittohead means basically has no idea. and further more anyone that thinks this is funny needs lessons on what is humor and what is sickness.
as far as McCain she is welcome to her thoughts but she like her father is wrong. and if she found this funny is it any wonder why Palin could not find anyone in the McCain camp to pray with?

You’re just a rich girl, and you’ll only get so far
‘Cause you should know what you say don’t really matter anyway
You can make hay out of your old man’s fame
You can rely on your mom’s beer money
It’s a bitch girl but you’ll never go far
‘Cause you should know what you say don’t really matter anyway
Say fame, but it will only get you so far,
Say money, but it will only get you so far,
Get you so far
And don’t you know, don’t you know
That it’s wrong to use this way what is given you
So long gone you’d be, on your own
You could get along on your own if your mind were strong
But it’ll never be strong
‘Cause
You’re just a rich girl, and you’ll only get so far
‘Cause you should know what you say don’t really matter anyway
You can make hay out of your old man’s fame
You can rely on your mom’s beer money
It’s a bitch girl but you’ll never go far
‘Cause you should know what you say don’t really matter anyway
Say fame, but it will only get you so far,
Say money, but it will only get you so far,
Get you so far
High and dry, out of the rain
It’s so easy to hurt others when you can’t feel pain
And don’t you know that it’s only your rear that will grow
‘Cause there’s nothing you give, so it would be better if you just blow
For the thrill of it all

The really sad thing is that Miss McCain doesn’t realize that this little exercise in leftist nastiness actually parodies her almost as much as it attempts to parody Limbaugh, Coulter and Ingraham.
John and Cindy should be ashamed of having raised such a vapid little twit.

When Rush’s show went national back in 1988 there were so many people calling to say they enjoyed this refreshing new show that one caller said “Dittos to the guy who called before.” The term “dittos” and “dittohead” was coined to describe a person who enjoy his show, not that they blindly mimic and obey him. Unlike the Obama zombies, Rush listeners are capable of independent thought.
And as far as Rush’s weight. Like many people, his weight fluctuates. He has been heavier in the past and he has been thinner in the past. To use this fact in attempting to insult or discredit him just demonstrates the inability of liberals to defend their views without using ad hominen attacks.

It’s from Columbia. I used to be rather impressed with a Columbia degree (Ivy and all), but, coming to think of it, everyone I know who went to Columbia is smart compared to average, although not smart amongst smart people, and the political figures who went there aren’t filled with intellectual fire, either (Obama, Caroline Kennedy, Meghan McCain). It seems like the people who got there are good apple-polishers, but don’t seem to have any spark of brilliance.

More substantively on Ms. McCain: I would be much more inclined to be forgiving of her (and to figure that she would be the type to understand and adapt to the Republican Party as she ages), except for the fact that she’s rather adept at throwing bombs out there. Politics does not need to be as nasty as it is (adversarial systems and cruelty are not necessarily related), so I’m reluctant to criticise anyone who steps into the fray and gets creamed, but she invited it by attacking the very beloved figures of the Republican Party (Ann, Laura, Rush).
She would have been much better sticking to substantive discussion (life issues, economics, social issues, etc) and voicing knowledgeable and informed disagreement with the party line. That she did not is both reason to look down upon her and reason to criticise her. (The fat jokes are unnecessary, though; they only make us look bad.)

Flash animation isn’t free or particularly cheap to produce. From a technical standpoint this cartoon was well done even though there was absolutely nothing funny or clever about it… pros or semi-pros put this cartoon together: so where did the funding for this thing come from?
And when are conservatives gonna start funding similar products? It’s impossible to deny the veracity of the dig at AM radio in that crappy cartoon: If we’re being honest, then we’d admit that nobody under 60 years-old listens to it.
Then again, who’s got the balls to put up money after failures like 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour?

She is only getting attention for being a DAUGHTER…and participating in witch hunts/slam fests of people who work hard at their own jobs, actually saying meaningful things about subjects that much of the population deeply cares about. Sure, style differs…point is, she is willingly, happily working to destroy these people. She is no friend…and the Original Mav isn’t either. He switches on us whenever he is up for reelection. The left can’t defeat Rush so they resort to their feeble attempts at making fun of him. Now regarding Ann and Laura, well that is simple enough to expalain: They are educated, well-spoken, principled and really attractive. I wouldn’t mind seeing Ann and Laura dressed up like Princess Leia was.
What Ms. McCain is forgetting is that we actually (/holds nose) voted for her dad so why attack us?

Megan, you must stop getting advice from Rumor Willis!
Outside of the bubble you live in, your father is viewed as a joke, in filling the shoes of a Conservative, let alone a Republican. Your dad lost…you are both like John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, and Hillary, you just don’t know when to go home and hang it up.

Good gravy! I’m getting tired of explaining this….
The “fat” jokes are an illustration of what a fat joke would REALLY sound like. Laura NEVER called her fat. She called her a vacuous valley girl RINO who is only interested in politics because it makes her famous. Fame she would never get on “The Real World” because those people would never hire a plus size gal to be on the show.
So, until all you so-called “conservatives” finally get it, the fat jokes will continue to make you squirm at your keyboard.

Is it 5th grade at the McCain house? You don’t get it do you. It’s O.K. to make fun of Rush’s weight because he’s a conservative and not a woman. I love the part of about no one listening to AM radio, especially in light of the latest numbers for Rush’s show in all the major markets. Apparently too many people are listening to AM radio and some of them are getting a clue! Megan McCain is a vacuous pinhead who needs to just shut-up and quit embarrassing herself!
flytier on March 29, 2009 at 9:03 AM
Once again Who cares??
And did John McCain ever say anything about this? Last I heard he refused to even defend his daughter or discuss it…but somehow or other we are now talking about the McCain household as if there is no difference between the views of a 70 year old man and his almost middle aged daughter.
The video is dumb and I am sure that one reason Meghan McCain says it is funny is because so many people were making fun of her ass… who the hell cares?
If Palin’s daughter turns out to be obnoxious are we going to blame it on her? It seems to me that a lot of Palin fans, me included, believed the press got way out of hand going after Palin’s daughter and her behavior..even though the daughter was still a minor living at home.
But now people who hate McCain are actually giving all this air just so they can use his grown daughter’s behavior against him.
Lame, no wonder Democrats are beating Republicans.

Meghan McCain is so fat, when she goes to a restaurant she sits down, looks at the menu, and says, “Okay!”
ZJPolitical on March 29, 2009 at 9:11 AM
I predicted Meghan would screw up if she is left in the spotlight. The problem is when she does it will be the left to point out how stupid Republicans like McCain are. Isn’t that special? The fact that Meghan is portrayed as a empty-headed valley girl in this cartoon and she thinks it is a compliment tells you she will walk into the quicksand pretty soon. At some point you have to disagree with democrats and then we will see how her “friends” treat her. She wants to attack established Republicans and she think Democrats have her back right now. As AP says…what could go wrong?

Megan,
Point #2. Take a hint from Princess Laura and Ann, along with King El Rushbo, stop whining about the injustices of life and just laugh about something, instead of demanding an apology about every single little thing, for Christ sakes!
These “entertainers” are all happy individuals and know they are on the right side of things…the Constitution backs their words! They do not seek to win a popularity contest. They know their role: get us the truth. End of story. They know who they are, along with Mark Levin and Hannity and Beck. It’s why we love them.
It’s why Rahm can’t make headway in destroying them. The people in flyover country, know they defend the Constitution every single day. Their story doesn’t change from day-to-day…unlike your dad. They’re the first to have a laugh at themselves unlike BO and Michele ‘ma Belle.

Conan:
You made my point. What has this got to do with John McCain? The whole thing is ridiculous. This started because Laura Look at me while I run the party Ingraham made a crack about the size of the woman’s ass. As if that in and of itself is not totally stupid and then we have to drag John McCain into it and start yapping about how evil and horrid moderates are. As if conservatives could win an election without the votes of Independents and moderates. The whole thing is put on by pundits who want to get listeners and blog hits while they go about the business of making Republicans look ridiculous.
It is stupid.

Proof positive there is a God – there’s a chance that a HA troll might find another site and fluffy Meghan has decided to stop pretending she’s a conservative or even a Repubican.
I guess this also means some people here will stop whining about how mean it is to call her fat and stupid? Or would that be one miracle too many?

And yet there are people on the right who claim she speaks for people like me, just so they can tell me to take a hike.

Like Hillary’s, Meghan McCain’s butt has its own Zip Code.
By the way Allah, Gonna run anything on the Ashley Biden cocaine tape? If it were one of the Palin kids, you would have posted it last night.
bw222 on March 29, 2009 at 9:49 AM
That should be moderate. I honestly do not think there is such a word as mocerate. Preview is for sissies.
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 9:53 AM
It seems to me that Ronald Reagan’s children were not exactly chips off the old block. His son and daughter were not conservatives. The interesting thing is that his adopted son was more conservative than either of them.
But the larger point is that it does not make conservatives look all that bright to be getting in silly fights about the size of someone’s ass. After all the whole point is that the conservatives are supposed to be the grownups.
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 9:56 AM
I still think she’s kinda cute, dumb as rock, but cute.
vcferlita on March 29, 2009 at 9:58 AM
sorry about typos….that’s what too much gin will do for you in the morning.
luvstotango on March 29, 2009 at 10:00 AM
The only one that looks stupid is you. You continue to buy into the liberal PC mantra. Laura NEVER called her fat. She made a comment about her liberal vacuousness. PERIOD.
Go back to huffpo where you’ll reunite with those who think like you do.
McShamnesty’s daughter is so fat….
when she sits around the house, she really sits AROUND the house.
csdeven on March 29, 2009 at 10:05 AM
Hey Terrye, you vacuous liberal, McShamnesty’s daughter is so fat, her white cottage cheese ass has it’s own zip code.
csdeven on March 29, 2009 at 10:06 AM
They have to be conservatives first. Let the group know when you’re gonna be ready to abandon the liberal PC mantra and be a conservative.
csdeven on March 29, 2009 at 10:08 AM
You’re a McShamnesty moderate. How clever of you.
csdeven on March 29, 2009 at 10:10 AM
That was lame.
I always thought fat girls had a good sense of humor…
Wyznowski on March 29, 2009 at 10:20 AM
You’d think Meghan would condemn this since it makes fun of Rush’s weight. Bad form after playing the victim card with L.I.’s comment.
Chubbs65 on March 29, 2009 at 10:21 AM
That was pretty funny. I don’t know what you’re talking about, AP.
hicsuget on March 29, 2009 at 10:31 AM
Meghan is exactly the reason her father could never be elected to be president. The only reason she has media attention now is because she is a tool to be used as this cartoon exhibits. Sad….very sad.
volsense on March 29, 2009 at 10:33 AM
The Liberals are using her to dig at the Right the same way they used her Dad during his whole political career. It is a very sad situation.
kingsjester on March 29, 2009 at 10:38 AM
kingjester:
It seems to me that the right is kind of egging the whole thing on too. And btw, McCain was not the bad guy to the right for his whole career. It was only after the McCain Feingold thing that they really got pissy. The truth is McCain was always a fiscal conservative and we could use some of that right now.
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 10:44 AM
volscense:
That is ridiculous. If the meltdown had not happened McCain might well be president right now. Tell me, if your grown son turned out to be a jerk, is that your fault? Is Ronald Reagan responsible for the fact that Ron Jr. voted for Obama?
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 10:45 AM
Chubb:
Actually I think the woman is saying right back at you. And btw, it might seem to her that if making fun of the size of her ass because you don’t like her politics is okay, then surely making fun of Rush being a fat man is okay too.
Once again, the whole issue is stupid from start to finish and the lesson the right seems to be taking away from it is that grown men are responsible for their grown children and it is funny to make fun of someone’s weight until they do the same thing.
I think the liberals are probably eating all of this up, so by all means let’s keep it going as long as possible.
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 10:48 AM
Meghan “It-Rubs-the-Lotion-on-Its-Skin” McCain is a freaking genius on politics, manners and humor. Give that girl a scalpel and let the brain surgery begin!

I am not a McShamnesty anything because that is not a word. It is something dumb that people came up with to make fun of the Republican candidate and as such they helped elect Obama president.
There were more than 57 million people voting for Juan, were all they all McShamnesty moderates. Oh the horror.
Tell you what, why don’t you just start your own party. Pay for it yourself, get your own resources, your own name, your own everything. And then make sure that people like me are not allowed to support or vote for your candidates.
Go for it. Who the hell is stopping you?
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 10:51 AM
It is convenietly ignorant to think that any of the McCains are conservative. None of them ever have been. They have never passed on those attributes to their children. Maybe the sons, but since I have never heard them speak or seen any of their writings, you cannot make that judgement. The image they have pushed to the forefront is compassion. Great. No problem there, except that has nothing to do with the Constitution. The Constitution is the law. All this compassionate junk is pretty ephemeral when it comes to how to run things and how to uphold the law. It just shows that now you have emotions crapping up your judgement.
Look at Obama. He is a cold-hearted bastard that doesn’t give a whit for his country. He is trying to change it into something that should never exhist and yet he still has personal ratings that are sky high. Focusing on Meghan McCain is a distraction. I don’t care what she is. Focusing on Barrack Obama should be a priority. I do care about what he is doing TO our country.

PC mantra? Are you kidding? Considering how sensitive you are to anyone saying anything you do not like and considering the fact that Laura could not just ignore this silly woman and had to start yammering about the size of her ass….who actually started this whole silly thing?
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 10:55 AM
BetsyRoss:
That is absurd. How do you pass on attributes like that? For one thing McCain is more conservative than his daughter for another they are seperate people. How can that be so difficult to understand?
Look at William Buckley and his son? Is Buckley Sr. responsible for the fact that his son publicly endorsed Barack Obama?
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 10:57 AM

I have never been to HuffPo. I vote Republican. I give money to Republicans and yes, Laura did make cracks about the size of her ass, along with all sorts of people right here on this comment thread.
I am not defending Meghan. I am saying this whole silly incident is being driven by people like you who can not just ignore the woman.

And where do you get off telling me where to go?
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM
After all, talking about Meghan’s McCain’s plus size was started this stupidity. Laura should have stayed with the politics and left the personal insults out of it.
Terrye on March 29, 2009 at 11:04 AM
Of course we can’t ignore her!
Meghan McCain is so fat, everywhere you look, there she is.
ZJPolitical on March 29, 2009 at 11:14 AM
The same points could be used to argue that George W. Bush is not a conservative.
hicsuget on March 29, 2009 at 11:17 AM
Ron Paul had his campaign blimp; John McCain had his daughter. /badtaste
Honestly, she’s not nearly big enough that her weight should ever have become a running national joke. Furthermore, I think it highly unfortunate that her vapidity is the only thing standing between the Republican Party and complete irrelevance. She reminds me somewhat of the fool in King Lear.

Meghan started this herself when she pulled what any conservative–and any halfway decent human being–believes is the most vile stunt I have ever had the misfortune to witness: appearing on The View. I don’t care how much she hates the Right, hates talk radio, or hates Alaskan Governors who are more conservative and more attractive than she is. This goes beyond politics, and it sure as hell isn’t about her weight (In fact I’ll step onto the HA minefield by saying that I think she is very attractive. I don’t like the scrawny look, and I thought Renee Zellweiger looked better in Bridget Jones, but I digress). It’s a matter of honoring the family. That band of ugly dyke harpies (Elizabeth excepted of course) treated her father like nothing less than a child-molesting leper. WaWa was practically shouting her questions at him without eye contact, and Behor sat there clenched up like a petulant three year old trying to force a bowel movement. Cindy McCain was extremely upset at how they were treated on this show, yet her dimwit daughter goes on there and yucks it up with no regard for how this might have made her parents feel. If that isn’t the sign of a pathetic egomaniacal celeb-wannabe I don’t know what is. That is the ugliest thing about her, and I wish other people would address this instead of her weight. If she had any respect for her family and was able to put aside her own self-aggrandizement for ten seconds she would have told those vile shrews to go f**k themselves with an electric knife.
