If this were going to be WORK — gut-busting, sweating, tedious WORK — then I’d agree with your premise; but suppose word gets out that it’s really two more years with minimal actual work, free room & board, some spending money, just a time to get high, hang out with and sleep around with the other “givers”, and mutually congratulate themselves on how they are ‘changing the world’ — I can see this being a bit hit with the young folks.

It’s not involuntary servitude – because Democrats say it’s voluntary.

Of course, they could drum up some sort of petty offense. “Failure to give proper respect to the central authority” or some such. That way they can say the service is punishment.

Clinton would always look at the evidence before making a decision. Obama’s already read the liberal handbook, and his mind is made up, regardless of those pesky facts. That’s why he believes that borrowing and spendin is the best way to reduce deficits. Government efficiency and wisdom will save us!

Clinton’s failings were mostly personal ones. Obama’s failings are mostly ideological.
