Quotes of the day
posted at 9:30 pm on March 22, 2009 by Allahpundit
“Missing in action is the Barack Obama who vowed to unite the country around common values. Lately he has been the very opposite of the man he promised. Instead of hope, many have a growing fear of the arrogant government he leads…
In truth, there is no history for what he is doing. He is the most radical President of our times, far outside the mainstream of our political philosophy…
He is not a reformer who fixes things. He fancies himself ‘transformative,’ a man who reshapes and reorders. It apparently begins with smashing the existing order under the pretext of managing the crisis he inherited.
During the campaign, a fellow journalist confided that ‘I know Obama is a Manchurian candidate, I just can’t figure out what for.’
I laughed then, but no more.”

Yes, bloggless, I have thought so all along. Do you remember that Obama was a cool, passive participant (present!) when the candidates headed back to DC after the first bombshell about the credit crisis? Obama had nothing to contribute. The matter was rolling out in his favor.

I have this unshakable image of Obama going back to his living quarters every night and giggling:

rockmom on March 22, 2009 at 10:20 PM
That same thread at Political Punch, one woman named Crystal said she was a lead person to go get Obama support pledges yesterday. She even gave the Obama pledge. That pledge has been deleted from the comments several times over there. I just posted the pledge again a few minutes ago and it was deleted.
You can see that something was there because Crystal and the pledge are mentioned in several comments that were not deleted.
My question is, was this really on the pledge cards?
My second question is now, why is this pledge always being deleted at ABC so that it cannot be seen?
Here is the pledge:
“I Pledge Allegiance, to the Obama of the Obama Campaign for America, and to the Obama, for which Obama Stands, One Obama, Under Obama, Indivisible with Liberty and Justice to Obama Supporters”
Now if this wasn’t about Obama I would think it was a parody. As it is, I have no idea because nothing seems to farfetched for Obama and his minions.

The night is cool
The wind is high
A wave of light
Breaks through the sky
I watch the light
And wonder when
This wind will sweep
Me home again
I would be warm
If I were there
In golden fields
And easy air
I close my eyes
And now and then
My weary heart
Moves home again
I will hold on
I will get through
I will not die
Away from the red, white and blue
I don’t know how
I don’t know when
But I will see
My home restored again
Hold on til then
Oh, wait for me!
We will be free
And home again

When it becomes painfully obvious that the emporer has no clothes, most of those that voted for him will be embarrassed.
Then, the broken majority of the country will look for the least flashy, most stable, most down-to-earth, lease media friendly, most accomplished, most proven, smartest, most religious, and least-interested-in-pop-culture person in America to lead them out of the abyss.
That man is Mitt Romney.

I’ve begun to entertain the notion Obama may not be college educated or perhaps did embarassingly poorly if he attended. There’s a reason why he wouldnt release info concerning his grades and such during the campaign. He doesnt appear to me, with all his bumbling/stumbling and extremely poor performance, to be one that’s attended and/or graduated from top notch universities. At this point he does’nt appear to have the capability nor intelligence to have written the two books he claims to have authored let alone the ability to comprehend his role and perform well as a state/ US politician or POTUS.
It just seems to me Obama has attempted and been successful at passing himself off as being something he is not in several areas.

Yes. It is deliberate. The forward looking aspect of the markets and the people in general have discounted any recovery for a long time and most of this could have been resolved by now. Don’t believe anyone one who says that the so called toxic assets are too complicated. The fact is that the stock prices already reflect the price of those assets as worthless. That means ZERO Dollars. Should AIG or CITI go out of business other business and investors will come in to buy assets and provide services. But ONLY if there is a known playing field that is supported by a society that is not going to change at a moments notice. But since The Precedent (and Timmy) likes to keep us on edge nobody is willing to take a risk. The market confidence that has eroded is a direct response to no leadership. Unfortunately I think there is more than low market confidence, I think we’re looking a downward trend in societal confidence and that is more troubling.

How many raggedy assed poor folks got how much mortgage money that so much can disappear and trillions are bandied about as mere bandages to a seemingly endless hemorrhage of wealth? Now claims and moves are being made that have no precedence of being calculated, let alone understood and corrected. Just very expensive smoke and mirrors.
