Read the linked article and failed to undersand why Korean family values are a problem or at odds with American family values.

We could shorten the school year and come out ahead if US teachers on average were up to typical east Asian standards. Actually, we could shorten the school year and come out ahead with the teachers we have.

South Korea’s culture is very different from our own, and the individual plays second fiddle. See Korean Family Values.

Perhaps one of these days Obama will find something to like about this country, instead of this constant need to make us more like Europe or Asia.

This government takeover is clearly an Obama Administration take-over – and an end-run around the Democrat Establishment in Congress.

Dodd has already refused to “take one for the team” and outed the Administration on the AIG bonus issue. It is obvious he was supposed to get hit by pitch to advance the plan. But he balked.

Dodd & the rest of the Dems are starting to see the Obama(read Axlerod,Rahm,Soros)Plan will strip them of their power just as Chavez dissolved the congress. Obama & co. have little to no respect for their fellow Dems and only treat them as useful idiots. This is why he went on the Tent-Revival/Jay Leno tour while the Dems got saddled with the heavy lifting. Obama detached himself – figuratively & actually from the dirty dealings. It’s brilliant really.

Hard to say, W ignored the anti-war crowd. I think Congress would take notice. For what it would be worth.

I still blame Jimmy Carter for making it impossible for me to ever eat hot dogs or macaroni and cheese to this day.

I am not ready to give up on the people yet and sven have you stopped to think that as much as we hate what is going on, there are an equal amount of people, still in the glow of our historic election, that would fight back? And then there would be the people who believe everything you believe, except the solution. I really liked the idea of taking children out of public schools. Obviously that would require a coordinated effort with the help of people like me who’s children are grown. If that isn’t feasible then we need some other BIG statement.

I did, I slept until about 8. Close to a record breaker. The trouble is if I doze anytime today I will be up until all hours. I should actually try to accomplish something instead of posting but that’s no fun.

Culture is the key. “Conservatives” have lost the war of culture, hence the people; people, government; government, the ability to rule themselves. It’s no wonder the Marxists are so much better at asymmetric warfare: they actually understand the key terrain of the fight. The Marxists will continue dominating the culture via state-run education (the illiteracy cartel) and the media (the sensuality cartel). They will also continue to use legitimate processes for illegitimate gain (i.e. control through taxation, censuses, social welfare programs, etc.) Lastly, they will continue to cause and promote chaos. “Never waste a crisis.” Sound familiar? Oh, and here’s the best part: in the end, people will actually ask for socialism.
“Conservatives” would be wise to learn about the Marxist warfighting model.

sven thinks I need to learn a lesson about Democrats and dealing with the left etc. I am not naive. I don’t need any lessons. I just know that 51% beats 49% and if you want to win..you have to find a way to be in the 51%.

Republicans need to find a way to reach those kinds of people. I think they can.

Did you ever get around to telling us what you’re doing other than commenting on a blog?

Two things, pretty scary on the happenings in your area. The other is my husband almost started reloading. We have everything, including a bunch of brass because he and the oldest belong to a competition shooting club. I guess I won’t complain about all that stuff being in the way.
