Colbert basically ran a stream of neutral-conservative phrases through Steele’s rap when he easily could have edited the Steele rap to aggressively aggravate his audience.

I think if the same rap had been done with Bush clips it would have twisted Bush into a spew of evil. That Colbert did not do a major number on Steele, IMHO, is from the natural liberal fawning over minorities

I don’t see where this gains Steele anything. The fund raising numbers don’t mean a lot to me. The same fence sitting business types who liked Obama are now getting upset over proposed taxes and anti tax money is certainly starting to panic flow towards the RNC

I haven’t seen anything from Steele to encourage me to give money and his new vision for the GOP seems to be pointed towards the kinder gentler brigade, the continuing attempt to supplant conservatives in the base with moderates in their dreams. I think his first Rush comment was from the gut and the second Rush explanation was an act of caution

This was what I called in a previous exit question as my “deciding factor”. If he could get funding for the RNC then that would show he was at least making an effort and some progress.

If he’d failed at this I’d be along with those calling for his head.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander… Steele needs to stop trying to be “hip”, it’s transparent and obnoxious. Our side is too smart to fall for that nonsense.

Like Obama, Steele didn’t grow on up “on da streets”, so he really needs to stop. Granted, he wasn’t raised by his white grandparents in Hawaii (which by the way, Puff Daddy you POS, has a lower percentage of black people than Alaska… Don’t think we forgot what you said during the campaign, douche). At least Steele is from the DC area, but not the ghetto by any means.

Maybe it’s just me, but I find faux-ebonics obnoxious.
