Video: Canadian wise-ass hates Mexicans, Canadians, Pakistanians

posted at 9:05 pm on March 19, 2009 by Allahpundit

This is what we wingnuts get for spending so much time obsessing about Mexico. We kick up a fuss about the Border Patrol sending reinforcements down south — and before you know it, Crowder’s snuck across the northern border.

Now we’ll never be rid of him.

I like Crowder, but before I go further than 20 seconds… Dude, you need to work on your southern accent, seriously. I recognize it’s not as familiar to you as it is to us, but that’s weak, man.

Oh, by the way, is Crowder in brown face there?

I forgive Canadians for being clueless sometimes for the same reason I forgive five year olds for being clueless. Really, they can’t help it.

I guarantee that if Crowder sold a green cotton t-shirt with a white outlined drawing of his redneck character with a cigarette hanging out of the corner of his mouth and “SCREW YOU ANNE MURRAY” in block letters beneath it, it would be his #1 most popular item.

Dumbass kids will buy a Che shirt. Smart kids will get a Crowder t-shirt.

He was very good looking. Don’t see him as a wise Ass-either. I agree with him on what he said. Looks like The Man Child is holding off on work related Raids on illegals until further notice. They best not give them Amnesty. If they do then all hell will break lose. I came across a web site that was very hateful. Don’t know who they were but read the comments. Pretty scary. Should be English only. And no Amnesty! They have sucked enough from our Country and from us the tax payers.

sheebe on March 19, 2009 at 9:26 PM

HA HA!
Funny stuff. Steven is hilarious.
I was born here, but my parents are Cuban-born. They assimilated here, respect the laws (they came here through a raffle in Cuba and waited a year to come to this country), learned English, and love America as they became citizens of this country.
Some latinos refuse to assimilate because there is no incentive for them to do so. Politicians give them Spanish language driving tests and American citizenship tests.
Yes we still practice some of the Cuban culture, but we love American culture as well.

jencab on March 19, 2009 at 9:27 PM

So we made people ‘apply’ at Ellis Island?

Multiculturalism has never worked?

‘illegal’ immigrants at a fast food chain and you are mocking the guy with a job rather than the company that gave it to him?

Why are you giving your money to that business?

Maybe we are called racist because we pretend we aren’t asking Latino immigrants to jump through hoops our european ancestors never faced when fleeing economic hardships of their own.

Except for Cubans of course, who need only touch our soil.

Sure southern border towns feel this issue more than others but instead of using the federal government to wage war on economic refugees who are forced to live protected within the Hispanic community, maybe we should be using some of the money to improve conditions in the countries these people are fleeing from.

After all it’s what we did in Europe.

The problem with this barkolounger, is that FIRST Europe was basically reduced to ashes, her population reduced by more than half by the murderous impulses of the National Socialists and the war they started.

So, unless you REALLY want to see Mexico further reduced into rubble and millions dead, perhaps we should rethink your nation building strategy.

Particularly since we have ALREADY pumped BILLIONS into Mexico both officially through gifts to the Mexican govt and unofficially, through money sent back by illegals. Yet their country is on the verge of tearing itself apart. So let’s throw MORE money at the problem? Huh? Since when will paper money put out the fires of a society in flames?

Intergovernmental welfare is as much a failure as regular welfare. I’d rather not continue down that road, thank you.

Greed on March 19, 2009 at 9:48 PM

I had a lot of Filipino friends in California (I escaped from there 2 years ago), they are also staunch supporters of legal immigration. It’s tough to come over here with nothing and then see all the tax-paid freebees that the illegals get.
It takes an average of 6-8 years for a visa approval. If your paperwork gets lost you have to start over (this happened to a friend).

I just thought it was lame to have…ANNE MURRAY?!?!?!?!? singing the anthem. For God’s sake. This was 1989. Surely they could have found somebody less lame. Like Platinum Blonde or The Spoons. :D

JeffB. on March 19, 2009 at 11:37 PM

There is a myth perpetuated today that somehow immigrants who came to this country a century ago somehow had an easy ride – that they just showed up and magically were given a job, land and instant citizenship.

It didn’t happen that way.

My family came over in 1903. They waited for over two years for permission and for the paperwork to be processed to allow their entry. They had to be medically screened, they had to prove that they had work waiting for them and had to have a sponsor.

My great grandfather had to immigrate to Argentina, work there for several years, become an Argentine citizen and then apply for immigration to the US because he had served in the Italian army.

I’m tired of hearing the crap about how “hard” it is for immigrants who want to follow the rules.

Tough.

If they want a better live, they should be willing to abide by the rules of their new country.

Try immigrating to Japan or France or Germany and see if the rules are more pleasent.

Funny that Americans were the original illegal immigrants. We really assimilated well with the Americans already here, but I digress.

Yeah, and the Indians learned a big lesson about Open Borders. We stole all the skyscrapers and left them the casinos.

Feedie on March 20, 2009 at 12:51 AM

radiofreevillage on March 20, 2009 at 1:09 AM

His mother obviously followed the law to get in,

Yes, she did follow a law, which prescribes that a Canadian can only enter the United States under most restrictive conditions, which clearly state that your face must have some resemblance to a picture in your local Canadian ID. Then you can personally drive to interviews and look for work.

I mean, if only Mexicans were willing to follow these rules.

radiofreevillage on March 20, 2009 at 1:17 AM

Its really amazing how people can act all high and mighty about illegal immigration when European settlers did the exact same thing. They settled here without asking anybody and were looking for a better life. Sound familiar?

Yes. What happened to people who lived here when the settlers came? Maybe it sounds too familiar.

I think there’s nothing wrong about wanting people to assimilate so long as you make it natural. I am all for increasing immigration form everywhere, not just Mexico, while at the same time I’m opposed to Spanish public schools etc.

Not because I think everybody must speak English at all times. I don’t speak English at home. My kid who was born here is prohibited does not speak English at home. But I don’t want to live in an ethnic ghetto, and neither do most of people. And of course we don’t need to use public money to make an effort of creating ghettos with our own hands.

This is the problem with the Republicans. Instead of a free-market approach “come on in and get settled – no, you can’t use our money to make yourself more like at home”, we are offered pure racism.

Legal or illegal, why should the U.S. be the fallback position for Mexico’s failed state? There really isn’t enough room for the whole world here, and the only reason it’s an attractive alternative in the first place is because several generations of mostly Europeans plowed the profits back into the infrastructure.

Those immigrants who have not only succeeded but contributed have done the same thing. Face it, Manana has arrived for Mexico, and it ain’t pretty.

barkolounger on March 19, 2009 at 9:51 PM

So when will we be “full up”? We have over 300 million people living here now. We already have states fighting over water. We have millions of Americans looking for jobs and not finding them. We have trillions of dollars in debt, and all of our major entitlement programs facing bankruptcy in a few years. Should we just keep pretending that we can afford to allow all the world’s poor to come and live here?

Emma Lazarus’ poem may have been a charming sentiment, but that’s all it is; you won’t find her words anywhere in our founding documents or official laws. And here’s another scoop: it’s not the 19th century anymore, and we can’t continue behaving as if it is. We are a fully developed, fully populated, sovereign nation, and if we wish to survive as a nation, then we cannot continue to allow tens of millions of “economically disadvantaged” foreigners to pour at will across our borders in defiance of our laws.

Reality: learn to deal with it.

Use our money? So people are racists if they don’t cough up their money for immigrants? My family didn’t receive any money to come here or after they got here. And they weren’t expecting any. They were hoping for opportunity to make their own way.

BTW, bit of a stereotype to call Republicans racists. Try looking at some history of Democrat racism - scroll to the bottom and note Byrd, Dodd, and Biden.

I dare say Jindal, my coworkers, Michelle Malkin, and many other non-white Republicans don’t think of themselves as racists or belonging to ‘the party of racism’. I realize the nutjobs have hijacked both parties but to think that Republican is the racist party is wrong. If we believe stereotypes, are we also to believe the Democrat party is the party of communism or socialism?

SKYFOX on March 20, 2009 at 6:27 AM

nonstandard : regardless
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

Disturb the Universe on March 20, 2009 at 10:09 AM

Theres nothing wrong with wanting to protect your borders and asking immigrants to assimilate. I just hate when people call these immigrants criminals. I mean really. Imagine your in Mexico and you can’t find work and there is drug violence escalating, what would you do? The fact that European settlers did the exact same thing to the natives already here makes it kind of hypocritical to call these people criminals. Nobody calls the first setters criminals. Yeah they broke the law when they crossed the border, but its kind of like stealing bread to feed your family. Its wrong but I can understand.

Terry Silver on March 20, 2009 at 10:18 AM

Plus the people who are the real criminals are the ones giving them jobs that Americans need. If you didn’t give jobs to illegals than they wouldn’t come here.

So do you believe that Israel shouldn’t exist, because it was carved out of Jordan and other Arab nations? The settlers who came here came to an undeveloped land. It wasn’t a nation; it had no borders. They settled it and for lack of a better word, conquered it. Through other wars we established a nation and a border. This happened many, many times over thousands of years in Europe. Should their borders be nullified because they took out another group of people hundreds of years ago?
Illegal immigrants are engaged in criminal activity; they are violating the borders of a sovereign nation. If you don’t understand what that means, drive south to Mexico and run the border crossing at high speed and see what the Mexican border guards do. Your arguement is absurd.

Illegal immigrants are engaged in criminal activity; they are violating the borders of a sovereign nation. If you don’t understand what that means, drive south to Mexico and run the border crossing at high speed and see what the Mexican border guards do. Your arguement is absurd.

I’m not advocating giving anything back or feeling bad about what settlers did. I just don’t like when people demonize poor people looking for an opportunity they don’t have in their country. This is what people don’t like about the republican stance on immigration. You can’t really blame a poor/desperate person trying to better their lives or their families life. The first American settlers were looking for the same opportunity illegals are. If you want to blame anybody or brand them as criminals, blame the people who give them jobs and the incentive to cross the border in the first place.

The guy in the video used, you stupid jerk! You frigging moron. Yes, I’m pissed because I can’t even use sarcasm on you rednecks because you are such idiots.

I mean, if only one of you criticized my “usage” of irregardless… But it’s the frigging norm here. Let me explain it for you. Please have whoever in charge of watching after your mentally retarded a*ss repeat it if I fail to get it through.

The guy who is in the video… right? This is a verbatim quote from him. OK? Verbatim means it’s exactly what he said. He said: “Irregardless of nationality we expect you to learn the language.” Now, this is ironic and funny. Not rural-Mississippi-I-have-more-guns-than-teeth funny, so you may not get it, but over here it’s considered funny. Because when the guy demands that other would learn the language but can’t even formulate the demand in the proper language, it’s funny. Right?… Oh, nevermind.
