The Ed Morrissey Show: Movie Polls and the Fed’s new role!
posted at 1:00 pm on March 19, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), we’re going to take a small break from the sturm und drang of politics in the first half. Betty Jo Tucker and Jazz Shaw join me to review our polls this weekend on the best and worst Best Picture winners from the last 40 years. We’ll talk about who won, who lost, and what got left out of the poll. Feel free to keep voting; the polls are posted below!
In the second half, we get back to business — literally — with King Banaian, chair of economics at St. Cloud State University and my fellow NARNian. The Fed intervened in a major way yesterday, committing another trillion dollars to buying up toxic assets and injecting liquidity into the market. Good idea, or disaster? King will tell all!
Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice moderates the chat, and he has his Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

The Feds new role? They have been in control of the economy since 1913.
