I don’t think ‘third-degree theatrics’ is a fair characterization either; IMHO she handled him about as well as anyone could, without direct access to the mike-cutter.

Does anyone know of a ‘well’ moderated conservative forum, perhaps I’m just at the wrong place?

If you *were* at the wrong place, what good would it do to ask that question of a bunch of people who think it’s the *right* place to be??

And since (1) HotAir is a self-selecting environment, as people presumably sign up as commenters only if they want to comment — and (2) HotAir is not a moderated forum, ‘well’ or otherwise — what conceivable purpose does your comment serve, other than to misconstrue your true understanding of the site and how it functions?

If you have the slightest bit of integrity you’ll post a follow-up comment admitting as much.

I don’t feel that it was intolerable or at all like “fingernails on a blackboard”. I admire the conviction that Megyn has to not let a guest control the interview. It is quite obvious that, when a guest starts out an interview by accusing Fox News of lying, the chances of getting real answers to any questions become quite slim. I also resent AP’s use of the phrase “third-degree theatrics” to describe Megyn’s way of dealing with uncooperative guests. I am guessing if she were to just sit and let these guests spout off their stupid anti-Fox rhetoric, AP would criticize her for that too.

I know I should refrain from feeding the trolls here, but I can’t stop myself on this one. Death To Media Hacks, I found your initial comment to be just as juvenile and predictable as you are. I also find your name quite ironic, since “media hacks” are largely responsible for your guy BO being in the White House right now.(God help us all).

Lastly, I’d like to point out to one of the posters here that made comments about how Megyn was dressed and made-up. I feel that comparing her to hookers and calling her look “skanky” was completely tasteless on your part. It might interest you to know that 80’s fashion is apparently coming back in style right now, so you may be seeing things like this more often. I hope the next time you see someone dressed this way, you can refrain from making stupid generalizations that reveal more about you than they do about your target.

Herman Munster was smarter.

His opening statement was to attack Fox News for exposing the confessed criminality of ACORN employees. Now stop and think about that for a moment: if these employees did something wrong, it would make sense to dissasociate your organisation from them. Instead the guy goes on the attack on Fox News for exposing it, utterly avoiding the issue altogether. That does not engender trust. Does he really think that is going to help his case with people who have not made up their minds about ACORN? Does he really think he’s going to win friends by attacking the messenger?

Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the issue (and for the record, I think ACORN is a very dangerous organisation), putting this clown up as the public face of any entity is sure to backfire. ACORN will have lost, rather than gained support due to this oaf.

I just don’t know. Someone must think he’s doing a good job.

You need to learn to use a dictionary. Nobody has been viciously attacked here, though some of the descriptions were fairly colorful.

As far as Republicans living in caves, that was not an issue until the sodomites broke out of their closets and invaded the big tent.

Have you ever sat across the table from ACORN in a “negotiation”? Have you ever had them protesting at your workplace? Have you ever actually spoken with any of their “organizers”? Because I have. They are radical thugs. Read the history of Wade Rathke sometime – he is just another Bill Ayers only without the bombs. These people have been building toward a radical leftist takeover of the U.S. government for decades. They want to destroy the American banking system, for starters.

Believe me when I say that ACORN is FAR from a simple do-gooder nonprofit that only wants to encourage more participation in elections and representation of the poor. They don’t give a CRAP about the poor except to use them to gain power for themselves.

Why was 2008 the first time ACORN became domestic enemy number one?

Where is the outrage that the Bush administration didn’t sick the justice department on an organization people like you claim is committing numerous felonies, and plotting numerous conspiracies?

He had eight years. Was it dereliction or incompetence?

I’m not defending ACORN anymore than when doing so prevents us from looking like sore losers or tin foil nutters.

We spent eight years defending the faith based programs that went to wink/nod non partisan faith organizations, while at the same time continuing to fund ACORN and other entrenched community organizations.

When Bush continued funding ACORN they were just a harmless org and a trade off to begin funding church programs.

Now that Obama controls the purse strings and has pledged to continue the faith based funding, some of you expect people to believe ACORN is all of a sudden a threat to the very existence of this great nation?

He has one of those faces that you just want to use like a speed bag, and a personality to match.

Just curious as to barko’s thoughts on this…

Hell NO.

But the demonizing hyperbole already tried and failed isn’t going to help us create accountability.

Especially when conservative groups are also participating in census work in rural areas in red states.

We also seem hypocritical when we try to capitalize on populist anger at wall street while at the same time demonizing urban poor for what ails the middle class.

We have R Senators calling on CEOs to commit hari kari and our ‘hero’ pundits pretend the senator was a Democrat while they defend AIG execs withholding names and numbers due to threats.

It’s painfully obvious there is no message management, no strategy. Just rage at everything and hope people are too dumb or distracted to notice when we contradict ourselves.

Raging toward irrelevance.

Less than 60 days in and already some ‘conservatives’ are calling for revolution and claim legions of followers ready to revolt with them. The also think people take them seriously.

Some people act like the sky is falling and the world is ending as if Obama overthrew a wildly popular administration.

That a conservative utopia is being ripped from the clutches of an unwilling populous.

The same people ridiculing the birthers are themselves screaming about the communist takeover, or the brownshirt Obama squads about to terrorizing their neighborhoods.

It’s sad that people don’t refute the crap they read here more.

I read comments that I’m sure most be liberal ‘trolls’ coming here to make the site look bad, but instead of people gassing the comment I find 10 replies applauding it.

When anyone does object, point out a contradiction, or suggest a strategy adjustment they are shouted down and called liberals.
