What could Bush have done other than to alarm the kids? He got out as soon as he could after being appraised that the airline accident of which he had been informed was a probable terrorist attack. Bush got kudos from the teachers in the classroom for not causing the kids anxiety.

Besides, did Bush’s reading cause enhanced damage to the Twin Towers or the Pentagon? Is there anything Bush could have done to mitigate the disasters other than ordering the shoot down of every commercial airliner in the air at that moment?
