The only reason for the existence of Government employee unions is to provide money and support for the Democrat Party. Hell, George Soros and a whole pack of his acolytes run that union and it is connected at the hip thru an umbrella organization called UNITE to ACORN.

That is one of the biggest reasons why they are so adamant about getting Universal Health Care: all of the medical workers (Nurses, Staff, and likely some or all of the Doctors and other Professionals) will instantly become unionized – hundreds of thousands of new members for SEIU or one of its associate unions. Billions of dollars funneled back to UNITE to insure that they will own our government for the rest of time.

UNITE will run our elections and the census thru ACORN, our medical care thru SEIU, the government now is taking over the banks so they will have our working money, our retirement funds will be funneled into Social Security, they are going to take control over our energy usage, our transportation, and even want to make out our diets for us and decide what we can watch on TV or listen to and even talk about on the internet..or anywhere else.

George Orwell must be spinning in his grave right now.

Union staff unions are always entertaining. If you're interested in the irony, check out this short report on the teachers' unions' staff union. And get this: the NEA employees' union is so big, it has its own employees. Once, one of them filed an unfair labor practice grievance. If they had card check then, she could have formed a union's union's union.

I recently participated in a candidates forum at the SEIU local 721 offices (union reps, not rank and file; police union, local teachers union, electricians local, fire fighters union and a couple others). They didn't like me very much. Although one young man, who was quiet during the forum, stopped me in the hallway afterward and told me in hushed tones that I had gained a supporter in him. That was what I told my wife beforehand: If I can convince just one that there is a better way, I will feel that the effort was worth it. I did just that.
