Until now, he has been a senatorial disappointment, stridently leftist. I think he has been trying to position himself left of where his heart really is in an endeavor to set himself up for a run at 1600 PA Ave. Of course, with that kind of move, his chances of stealing a vote from me if/when he does make such an announcement go down.

I’m glad to see that Bayh has learned a lesson and is returning to who I believe him to be, a fighter for common sense. That lesson is that, when you’re dealing with the devil, you’re going to get the short end of the stick. My analogy isn’t intended to be 100% direct, although one never knows, I suppose. Bayh threw his support behind Obama, and now he’s understandably nervous. Hoosiers are better, smarter, more morally sound people than what Obama has fed us. He has to think about his own seat, of course, but I think he’s thinking about his country, too.

Way to go, Senator Bayh. In these matters, you have my support. You’ll have to re-earn some of my trust, but you’re off to a good start.

Guys like this, who really did try to balance a budget and who said no from time to time probably resent being passed over for some spend thrift incompetent like Obama.

Can’t we get someone to sneak a couple of lines on the Obamaprompter, i.e., “I now tender my resignation, effective immediately.”

Obama ran on the platform of audacity. He demanded (and received) a mandate for unqualified change — of anything he wants, anytime he wants and in any way he wants. In other words: Obama is the Ultimate Liberal Polititian: He is arrogance incarnate.

Hell, if Obama DID deign to acknowledge that it’s possible for a mere mortal to question the actions of a god, that would diminish Him in the eyes of His believers.

He is a politician.

This is an excellent point: liberals worship power SOLELY for the sake of power.

But comitted Communists are always going to be a very small percentage of the American electorate. They can’t win elections without the support of the politically illiterate masses who live their lives in a conservative fashion but are amenable to liberal propaganda. And the average American is getting a very very ugly wake up call about the greed and power-lust they just elected into office.

The 2010 elections are going to be a blood bath. By 2012, this will be a very different America than it is today. Hopefully the incredibly painful and expensive lesson will stick longer than it did last time – but does it ever?

You may consider this a chicken-and-egg problem, but I argue that things started with Democratic insistence on homeownership for people who couldn’t afford to pay their mortgages. Keep chattering about regulation, but it all begins with bad lending demanded by Democrats and accelerated with Fannie and Freddie. These turds are the last third of the puzzle.
