Its like the normal vehicle registration for cars.
It was started in 1973, allegedly to generate funds to “buy” areas for off road vehicle use.

Millions (if not Billions) have been paid, anyone wanta guess how much land has been bought?

Prop 98, 40 cents of EVERY dollar the state collects goes to the schools.

60 cents of every dollar from property taxes goes directly to schools.

And that’s on top of the “normal” budgeted money for schools.

I hate to say it but Cynthia IS our latest import. She is establishing residence here. I’d love for her to return to Georgia but she won’t go.

I’ve grown so used to the silence, the seemingly bad selections that challenge Boxer and Feinstein (who knows if they’re any good? The Dems slaughter them in the media department) and no push-back of any kind philosophically…it’s amazing. It’s almost as if conservatives out here have to just take it…without KY!

What happens when they run out of behaviors they want to modify? After attacking millionaires, porn customers, teens, motorcyclists, smokers, and drinkers … who’s left? Teetotaling, childless Prius drivers?

I’m sort of lost here. How do they attack motorcyclists? Is there a new tax on actors riding Harlies?

I hope a chunk of Californians do Go Galt. Hopefully, they don’t do it by moving east and infecting other states, like is being done to Nevada.

I would think that most of the people moving out of California are small business owners, large business owners and more conservative-leaning individuals who are fed up with the high cost of doing anything in this state.

The libs still don’t realize that there’s anything wrong around here.

California legislators are controlled by a South Central L.A. cabal that only has one purpose, self and their myopic view of “community”.

Their special interest does not serve mine. Poor Governator, he never had a chance.

Exit Question #1: How long before California starts taxing/penalizing people for having more than 2 kids?

Better yet, the bond DOESN’T EVEN GENERATE ENOUGH REVENUE TO BUILD THE FREAKING THING. As insane as most voters are out here, I can’t bring myself to believe that more than half of the voters approved of this. I call shenanigans.

Believe it or not Sacramento county voted for Bush over Gore and Kerry………the only real problem is inside the capital.

A lot of people outside of California don’t realize that if we could somehow eject Los Angeles and San Francisco into the Pacific Basin (a recurring dream I keep having), it would be an entirely different state.

And in the meantime, we are out of paper in my department at work, and say what you will about budget cuts–which I would likely agree with–public schools should not run out of paper halfway through the school year.
