Meghan McCain to Laura Ingraham: “Kiss my fat ass”

posted at 3:53 pm on March 16, 2009 by Allahpundit

Via Greg Hengler of Townhall, the media’s new favorite Republican downshifts into victim mode and wins “View” viewers’ hearts. Granted, Ingraham’s joke was a cheap shot, but come on — I get worse insults than “plus size” from you guys every day. Toughen up, Mac. Ingraham’s had enough, too:

The left’s over-heated indignation over my throw-away satirical line in a five-minute monologue is totally phony. They look the other way when obvious personal attacks are used against conservatives. Remember when Al Franken was the toast of all media for his book “Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot”? Last month The View’s Joy Behar called him a “fat guy”; and when I was a guest on The View a few years back she ridiculed Ann Coulter and me as “peroxide” blondes on Fox.

Next time, just for fun, Meghan should pretend that she’s had a change of heart and is now a pro-life conservative. Then she’ll really see how the Mean Girls treatment feels.

Note well the panel’s righteousness about how women should treat other women. Does that include Joy calling Michelle a “selfish bitch” on Maher’s show? Exit question: Did Meghan really never hear of Ingraham before or is she just saying that to get her goat?

Wow, Meghan, how courageous of you to take shots at Laura Ingraham on the The View!

Knowing the “hostesses” were really big fans of Laura, and conservatives in general, was a bold stroke on your part.

You are one brave gal. I’m impressed…I guess?????????

Joe Pyne on March 16, 2009 at 5:31 PM

This shows TWO additional mistakes by the party’s worst nomination in history (John McCain).

1) Not providing education for that moronic dumby scamp that is now running around trying to tell the party what to think…even though she was voting for Kerry a few years ago.

2) Having that so-called “conservative” broad from the view run around with Sarah Palin during the campaign. I mean the knock against Sarah Palin (which I agree with) is that she is attractive but not too bright. So, to shore up her intellectual credentials, they send out to vouch for her on the campaign trail, the attractive conservative who is also not very bright.

Gotta love that McCain train wreck of a campaign. The hits just keep coming.

I’m afraid that she has clogged arteries at such an early age…very unhealthy.
Nothing wrong with being a little over weight…as long as you stay active…or if you are really smart, go on a talk show where on each side of you they got you by 100 lbs.
Makes you look thin…

right2bright on March 16, 2009 at 5:34 PM

Maybe this is why poor Meghan can’t get a date. Besides, if Meghan has a big ass, what does that make Michelle Obama’s buttocks? I think “full figured” gals are just great, but the first lady got some serious junk in the trunk.

We were talking about butts, right?

Meghan McCain is a very attractive young woman. Doesn’t matter what her weight, really. When she opens her mouth though, every stitch of attractiveness goes right out the window (just like Daddy’s chances of ever being POTUS).

Here’s the part that I absolutely don’t get. There is no bigger poster child for RINO’s than John McCain. He is everything that Ms. McCain says the party needs. Yet he lost to an inexperienced bumbling buffoon. HELLO McCain, you’re being used just like your daddy was. Not too smart, are ya?

How ironic to see th View hosts get offended by what one woman say’s about another. What was it Behar the Beast said when Palin was chosen for VP?

Not to mention how they dog piled Coulter when she was there, but I think Coulter enjoyed punching back more than they liked punching.

DanaSmiles on March 16, 2009 at 5:50 PM

You know, I’ve been thinking about this thing for awhile now – the so-called moderates in the conservative movement wanting us to tone down the rhetoric.

I have a couple of thoughts:

1) If they are so concerned with the direction the conservative movement is going, why scurry to the leftists with their gripes? Why not bring their concerns to conservatives themselves? Keep the family discussions behind closed doors so to speak.

2) Since their main concern seems to be with conservatives who refuse to bargain with liberals, why continue to wear the label? Simply call yourself an independent (“independents” are, for the most part, democrat lite anyway) and be done with it.

The answer? They are not conservatives to begin with. They see conservatism as a danger to the country, and want to stop it from having any further influence. And, where do you go to make sure the conservative message is villified? On MSM shows that agree with your premise, and attack the main icons of popular conservative thought; Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin, and Ann Coulter.

These people are weasels who should be exposed by conservatives for the frauds that they are.

Let me see if I’ve got this straight…Paul Begala and his cronies, under the direction of the President of the United States (who, by the way, managed a dig on Jessica Simpson “who’s in a weight battle, apparently”), coordinate a personal attack on a private citizen, Rush Limbaugh, calling him, among other things, “a corpulent [see: excessively fat] drug addict.”

And the left (the media) cheers: YEAH…YEAH…YEAH!

Laura Ingraham calls Big Meg Mac “plus size” and must be condemned!

If all this weren’t so pathetic, it would be laughable.

Meghan, if you want to play in the big leagues, grow a pair.

So you think calling someone overweight is wrong…but calling someone confused, radical, insincere, evil, is okay?
If someone overweight calls someone “confused”, then that overweight person beter be ready to “take it”.
The best is for someone not to call names.
You may think “fat *ss” is bad, well I think calling someone evil is wrong. Get on a scale and I will prove one is over weight…how do you prove someone is evil?
Think…calling names is calling names, you can’t couch it with “keep it political”, it doesn’t work that way.

Ingraham called her cute and a plus-sized model. Face it folks, she could be a plus-sized model! Laura never used the word fat.
MMc said she didn’t know Laura, yet was on her show. The View folks said they didn’t know Laura, yet she guest-hosted for Elizabeth.
So who is right here? No contest. And besides, Laura Ingraham is for conservatism. That’s the real reason they’re trying to make her hilarious parody backfire on her.

It’s not that hard to debate one’s political beliefs without insult, especially if you have facts and evidence to back you up. Meghan may stoop to a childish level, but that does not mean that the rest of us should indulge in such behaviour. When my daughter is mad at me, she calls me silly names (Gooberhead being her favorite). I ignore these outbursts, and over time, she’s stopped doing it so often. Ignore McCain’s outbursts of similairly childish dialogue, and eventually she’ll fade away too.

No need to insult her weight, though. Her size has nothing to do with her behaviour anymore than mine does.

What’s sad and embarrassing about several of the latest offerings from Ms. McCain is that they are transparent attempts to stay in a fading spotlight. Dad won’t be running for national office again, so it seems she feels the need to carve out her own niche and try to stay relevant in some way.

Making mountains out of molehills and whining to spiteful women with chips on their shoulders doesn’t strike me as a way to show your intelligence.
