Video: Cheney on Rush v. Obama debate

posted at 4:34 pm on March 15, 2009 by Michelle

Former Vice President Dick Cheney on Rush Limbaugh: “Rush is a good friend…I think he does great work and has for years.” Cheney says he would pay to see Rush and Obama debate. “I think Rush is a good man and serves a very important purpose.”

RedSoxNation on March 15, 2009 at 4:44 PM

The funny thing about Rush is that I’d never heard an entire speech by him until the latest CPAC was aired here on HotAir. Even then he failed to hold my attention.

I don’t disagree with what he says. It’s just that his presentation doesn’t engage me. Sure, I’ve heard short clips from his radio show, and I’ve even watched a couple of short segments from his old TV show, but I’ve never been able to sit through an entire broadcast.

I don’t find anything to dislike about him. Maybe it’s just that his comments are usually impromptu, and therefore seem a little bit rambling.

MM, on the other hand, always seems well-prepared, and gets to the point.

Funny how Bush and Cheney were accused by the rabid left of eroding constitutional rights.

Look what Obama did in just 52 days. Dare I say, personal, business and pursuit of happiness rights.

You’re not allowed to make a profit in business.
You’re not allowed to question the motives.

They stole our money, and now they stealing our freedoms.

jaime on March 15, 2009 at 4:45 PM

I had the opposite reaction. When I watched his CPAC speech, I was impressed by the fact that he knows what he believes to the point that he CAN take detours and still get his point across. He speaks directly from his heart and mind, and he’s consistent…very much unlike President Teleprompter.

I LOVED it. I was cheering in front of the television. You would have thought I was watching the Packers win a game (for a change).

Rush vs Obama? Would that even be fair? They would have to make this a handicap match. To make is fair Rush would have to debate while drinking a bottle of scotch and I Obama should be allow several assistants to help him and 2 lifeline phone calls to his brain (David Axlerod). That should make things close to even.

After all, Obama brought Rush up to what he considers his own level by mentioning him in the first place.
