For being stupid.

If a woman starts hitting a man for some reason, does this mean the man is still completely wrong for hitting her back? No matter what your gender is, if your big enough to hit someone then you’re big enough to get hit back. This is not condoning what happened at all, this is a simple fact.

I’ve seen it too many times when a woman hits a guy first and screams out “You can’t hit me, I’m a girl!” when she gets hit back. Everyone seems to assume that the man is always in the wrong if he hits a woman. In some cases that is true, but there are some cases where that is not true. In the situation I first described, this girl would just start beating on the guy when she got mad at him, then fell back on the above-mentioned excuse when he defended himself. Either that, or she would get her brother-in-laws involved if he tried to defend himself. Her own father told him to not let her just beat on him like that and to punch her back.

I’m going to be an optimist and think the kids were jamming the pollster on this story.

I’d like to note that I work in the high school in Somerville, MA. This same attitude is very much in evidence among those kids, too. They honestly believe this and are most definitely not just “jamming the pollster.”

I’ve asked why and the common answer has to do with the idea that Rihanna either “gave him VD” (the most common answer, and one that isn’t supported by facts) or else that she “shouldn’t be snoopin’ on her man.”

Nobody deserves to get that kind of treatment outside of formal combat. She stepped into her relationship with the dirtbag. To that extent she earned it. Going back to such a known risk is so damnfool it’s unbelievable. She has EARNED a new beating. She still does not deserve it.

Sadly, “earned” is a word that seems to be dropping out of use in the US these days.

The survey highlights a third truth. The ‘I want it now’ types using technology (media and internet) to convince others their version of the truth is the truth.

Let’s use our minds and technology to solve the bigger problem ‘abuse’, vice rendering an opinion as the truth.

For a young black woman that is isolating. Is she going to date some black college guy working at McDonald’s? Take him to the Grammy’s? Her only dating choices are young black males who have status near hers that she can feel comfortable seen with. These are young black rappers. That is her dating circle.

There are plenty of successful, well off young black males that aren’t thugs.

Thinking that Rihanna deserve it, is not the same as thinking that Chris Brown was justified in doing it.

Er. It is. You might be splitting hairs by saying it shouldn’t have been Chris brown administering the beating but if you claim this woman “deserves” to be brutally beaten you are claiming that someone is justified in brutally beating them. I refuse to accept that a woman “deserves” to be brutalized.

I agree that many people end up in abusive situations through their own bad choices, but that doesn’t mean they then “deserve” to be abused. It’s like saying people who bungee jump “deserve” to have their cord break or people who get high “deserve” to overdose. Both those things are foolish, and you can counsel against them, but when tragedy happens we don’t say the people “deserved” to die.

Hmmm. I wonder if you guys think Alec Baldwin’s daughter deserved to be called names? Or if Nicole Brown deserved the abuse she suffered from OJ when they were married? I’m going to go out on a limb and say probably not.

Rappers and black male entertainers are feted for the violent, misoyginistic “entertainment” they provide to the general public.

A lot of black kids get suckered into crime cause they think it’s cool to be “street” (or whatever) after listening to “gangsta” rap dross. By the time they have figured out it’s a lie many of them are already serving long prison sentences and their lives are irreparably ruined.

A)If a woman can beat the hell out of you you should toughen up. No woman is going to beat her old man to death. And if your woman is too punchy then leave and find some other woman. Simple.

B)Who was his wife Kathy Long? It’s complete Bullshit to claim you should fight a woman when she hits you. Only bitches hit women.

C) Your view isn’t just unpopular, it’s pretty much evil. Being a Man means something, and men don’t beat up their old ladies, period. Chris Brown,, your douche neighbor and anyone who puts their hands on a woman deserve to be horsewhipped.

Unpopular view I know, but that’s how I look at it.

You need to go to bed Hick that isn’t a set of self-defense wounds she has.

At this time, I don’t think we really know what caused this event. I will say that if a woman comes at you like a man then she should be treated just like a man, and not use the old line of: “You can’t hit me! I’m a girl!” when she gets hit back. Unpopular view I know, but that’s how I look at it.

Waste is always sad.

It’s the human condition. At least she made it of her own free will…there are many virtuous, talented people in this world who have been destroyed without being given any choices at all. To those go my pity.
