Too dumb to check: New Britney Spears video goofs on … Megyn Kelly
posted at 6:25 pm on March 12, 2009 by Allahpundit
Via reader Mike S., the top clip is Kelly’s segment in late January about the moronic pun in the title of Spears’s new song and the bottom is Britney’s new vid. Watch Megyn from 0:37 to 0:52 and then compare it to the first five seconds and the last five seconds of Spears. I’m not even sure it’s fair to call this a goof: Clearly they mean to knock Kelly for being disapproving and “uptight,” but it’s so brief that there’s no bite to it at all. They probably had a longer bit about it originally, had to edit it for time reasons, and didn’t have the good sense to just drop it entirely.
Of all the reporters for a pop-star sex symbol to invite side-by-side comparisons with, too. Note to Team Spears: This match-up does not favor you. What’s next? Britney dons a brunette wig and takes a shot at Julie Banderas?

Stupid little boys go for spaced out, high maintenance skanks like Britney.
Men love beautiful, intelligent strong women like Megyn and Michelle.

I don’t know why I find that hilarious.

Better than ever? Are you kidding? Britney in the late 90′s was girl next door cute. From about 2000-2004 she was sexy with a smoking body. Now, she’s better than she was this time last year, but, she is definitely not the hottest she’s ever been.
I’m a fan of mindless pop and have most of Britney’s songs on my playlist but the new stuff isn’t as much fun as some of her previous stuff.
Of course, everything I just said above is nothing more than opinion so mine is no more legitimate than yours.

Who buys this sh*t besides pedophiles and pole dancing crackhos?

You can say what you want about Spears but I blame the American people. Look around you at the no talent crap that’s spewed forth from the movie and so-called music industries. This is talent? This is music? Our culture is in the toilet while the purveyors of garbage make billions. What a shame.

Britney Spears should definitely choose an easier target–she is hopelessly outclassed by Megyn Kelly. Spears has a decent body, she can sing and dance, and she drove into how many immovable objects?
Megyn Kelly, on the other hand, is sheer elegance. Not only drop-dead gorgeous, but strong, articulate, and downright brilliant, and something VERY rare in this world, an honest conservative with a law degree.
I’m beginning to wonder whether Fox News is dressing Megyn Kelly a little less provocatively lately, so that men’s eyes are less distracted by her beauty and their ears focus on what she SAYS. There are lots of beautiful vixens on Fox News, but Kelly is by far the SMARTEST.

If AP had as much makeup and plastic surgery as Britney, he’d look hot in this video too.

I’m ashamed that “Oooops . . . I Did it Again” is in constant rotation on my ipod.

The question is would someone be justified in ending a relationship because of taste?

this isn’t the Britney I knew.

Wasn’t there a big showtune in the ’50′s titled “If You See Kay, Tell Her I Love Her“?
Amy doesn’t quite do it.
Britney is wickless.
profitsbeard on March 12, 2009 at 8:39 PM
I belive that was Van Hagar.

Notice that all these trashy pop song all sound the same. Last night I watched America Idol, and they had that POS Kanye West perform, and I swear, that song sounded like this one. He had dark sunglasses on, he was wearing gloves, and had a bath towel hanging from his ass. None of it made any sense.
Gone are the days of the singer/songwriter talent. Now we just have white and black trash mouthing the words to some inane piece of garbage tapped out in Morse code by a meth-addicted orangutan.

Exit question:
Will O’Reilly attempt to stir the pot with Megyn the next time she’s on his little funfest?

Brit sound like a mix between E.T and that thing from Short Circuit.

Brittany is a freakin whore and a ‘tard. She’s about as relevant as Madonna these days.
Spiritk9 on March 12, 2009 at 9:59 PM
She’s a lame whore. Period.

So really all the conservative boys and girls want to If You Seek Amy Megyn Kelly, and not Britney Spears. I don’t blame them.

You know, 40 years ago, the Monkees actually wrote some of their own songs. Music sure has gone downhill.
Vashta.Nerada on March 13, 2009 at 12:20 AM
Oh my heavens, that takes me back. I was actually asked to page Jack when I was a very young waitress at a truck stop.
And I did. Sigh….
I totally agree with Megyn, though. That doesn’t belong on the radio. They take out other obscenities (ever heard some uncensored Liz Phair? A bit different than what hits the airwaves).
Ssharon on March 13, 2009 at 12:39 AM
Yeah, Britney, that’s the problem.
SouthernGent on March 13, 2009 at 12:52 AM
I think that you can blame Clive Davis and the “American Idol” generation for the sorry state of popular music. I was reading an interview with Daryl Hall (of Hall & Oates) and had the laugh when he referred to Davis as “the ultimate dictator”.
I also think much of popular music these days is more beat driven and less melody driven.
eaglescout1998 on March 13, 2009 at 2:46 AM
I guess Megyn could simply say “well, I guess it’s better she’s making videos where she’s a hung-over, used sex toy in some hepatitis-filled hotel room instead of driving down the street with her baby on her lap.”
Black Adam on March 13, 2009 at 3:30 AM
Big deal. I grew up in the sleazy 70′s and I turned out alright….Uh, I think.
RobCon on March 13, 2009 at 8:27 AM
Could they produce Britney’s voice a little more? They might as well let the mixing board do the singing for her.
And to think people once compared her to Christina Aguilera. Two differences – Christina had a great voice, and she didn’t get stuck at 17 years of age.
hawksruleva on March 13, 2009 at 9:03 AM
First of all, it’s absurd to believe Britney is spoofing that particular news person. She is obviously showing the difference between the person behind closed doors and the image we show in public. It’s not a conspiracy on one person since the video was most likely shot (or conceived) before the news story. Second, most of you folks need to loosen your panties from the knots this is creating. It’s a catchy pop song with a play on words, and it’s not the first time a recording artist has done it. The Who snuck the F-bomb in during “Who are you” and the Knack did it during one of their hit songs. Take a breath, folks, and let’s worry about the more real problems out there.
