That would imply that I either “bought” into Obama, or that I voted for him.

Neither is the case.

It’s just that I’m struggling very, very hard to not fall into the “He’s not MY president!” camp. And he’s been making it exceedingly hard to do so.

as ‘green-czar’

(MichaelSavage.com) The newly appointed special advisor for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality is Van Jones, founder and director of the San Francisco-based Bay Area Police Watch.

Police Watch describes itself as “an organization that assists survivors of police misconduct and brutality.”

Jones founded the group in 1993 as a hotline and lawyer-referral service for victims and survivors of police abuse.

A 1993 graduate of Yale Law School, Jones also is founding president of Green For All and a senior fellow with the Center for American Progress. Green For All says its mission is to build an “inclusive, green economy” that will solve “the ecological crisis” and lift millions out of poverty.

When are Ward Churchill and Bill Ayers going to be nominated to fill positions?

When there’s an opening on the SCOTUS.

He controls the congress; he can say what he needs to say like “I want merit pay for teachers” but he can count on his congress to not include it in any bill or, if they have too, to water it down.

He does not yet control the Supreme Court. I predict that in about six months we will see some “scandal” with Justice Roberts or Justice Thomas. Roberts because they want his seat or Thomas because they lost the Anita Hill thing, and they always get revenge when they can.

Interesting points. Narcissism is frequently misunderstood to be an overabundance of self-love, but in fact, it is about self-hatred. The narcissist is filled with self-loathing, so he works especially hard to polish the exterior so no one will know how worthless he really is (as he sees himself). Thus, narcissists are very thin-skinned–any time someone comes close to what is beneath the surface, they react strongly in order to protect that surface appearance (and the reaction is always revelatory, but people don’t ofen understand what they’re seeing). Narcissists often have enablers who don’t understand what is really happening, but do begin to understand the eggshells they need to walk on to keep things with the narcissist on an even keel.

In the case of Mr. Obama, we’ve seen this thin-skinned reaction again and again. Thus far, the press has acted as the enabler–and Mr. Obama rewards them for their fawning and punishes them when they get too close. Final note: It is not surprising his wife has such power over him–he’s the picture of insecurity, and in all likelihood feels quite lucky to have a woman who is so “superior” to him. You can bet she knows how to get under that surface quickly, and she also knows how to soothe it. This is not to say that she deliberately messes with him–it would be difficult to make such a claim based on what we see publicly–but it may be how they function, nonetheless.

Whoa, there. I understand and share the outrage over this latest act by the Obama Administration. But before you go trashing an entire profession, keep in mind that there are countless numbers of attorneys in this country, none of whom make any headlines, who help their communities by putting in significant pro bono hours and doing many other good works. Who knows – perhaps you someday will have a legal need and will have to turn to one of these people for help.
