Related side note: I often watch television with closed captioning in case my ear misses something. Unfortunately this sometimes doesn’t work either because the person entering the captioning misunderstands as well.

One time the local news station was talking about the Pope’s visit. The caption read, “Pope emphasizes the people’s need to trust in cheeses.”

Why is it that Christians (some of them) are EAGER to find an image of Jesus in anything — a piece of toast, a moth, a dirty drain — and Muslims go bats**t with anger if they find Allah (the deity, not the beta male) in ice cream?

Because Jesus was all about truth, love, forgiveness, the fulfillment of a promise and everlasting life with God, the Father.
As a Christian, I am not put off by real or imagined images of Christ. It’s up to me to discern which is which.

But then one day I was cooking on the stove and when I turned it out onto the plate to drain there it was….Jesus in my bacon.
