Better than Bush did? He did nearly nothing, and that just consisted in clearly pointing out, through WH staff on the WH website, a few of the thousands of lies spread about his policies and actions.

The biggest flaw of the Bush administration was its near-complete abandonment of the bully pulpit, and lack of leadership. Even allowing for the embargo by MSM against printing all but WH gaffes, the 6-year MSM negative campaign against Bush would not have been so successful had the WH had a few articulate spokesmen reaching beyond their feeble defenses to make strong counterattacks.

Each of these groups has officials with pasts, offices that can be picketed, etc. Make them defend everything.

The difference is that when they do it, the entire MSM picks it up and runs with it for a month, or more.

When we do it, it gets picked up by HA and AoS and PJM for a couple of days until our ADD kicks in, except for one guy who keeps posting the list, which others complain bitterly about.

I’m not waving any white flags, I’m just saying that if we want a “winning strategy” it has to take into account that our side has lives and families and jobs and isn’t afflicted with political OCD.

Another piece of the puzzle is that the Campaign for Organizing America is the holder of the mailing list developed by the Obama campaign and is supposed to hold about 14 million email addresses with all sorts of tags on them as to what are hot button issues for each email listed. Also they are tagged for state and congressional district so they can easily pull a custom email of say Card check supporters in Ga 03.

Then you also have to consider that recently the left side had a number of blogs, MoveOn and the SEIU join together in a new coalition called Accountability Now.

I have a feeling if I chase it down the SEIU is linked to the nursing issue since they were just involved in that big nursing union food fight out in California.

Probably this may be a member of the group of 20.
