Hot Air TV: Rangel vs. Mattera

posted at 5:20 pm on March 10, 2009 by Michelle

Our intrepid Hot Air TV special correspondent Jason Mattera is back on Capitol Hill! You’ve watched him corner smear merchants Jack Murtha and John Kerry, ask William “Cold Cash” Jefferson for bribe-freezing tips, and roam the Democrat National Convention in an orange Gitmo suit exposing far Left insanity. This time he catches tax cheat Charlie Rangel and confronts him about his mounting ethical and financial scandals.

Charlie Rangel’s message for Jason – and for all you bothersome taxpayers wondering about his shady rental property deals, publicly-subsidized Cadillac, and unpaid taxes:

“Why don’t you mind your goddamned business?”

Because, you damned corruptocrat, you are a servant of the public — not the other way around.

Paging Nancy “most ethical Congress ever” Pelosi. Paging Nancy Pelosi…

(Special thanks to camerawoman Alyssa Cordova)

If Charlie still wants to reinstitute the draft so badly, after seeing this video I have only six words to say: Let him go to Iraq himself.

That post was absurd, to say the least.

I bet you don’t even know what the 3rd Commandment is.

PS: I love how that banner on his website says “Fighting for the Democrat Party” and not “Fighting for America.”

What an ass.

Maybe somebody needs to tell Rangel that we ARE minding our business, that is why we are asking the question.

I noticed the few times Michelle posts here she has more balls than Allah. I am afraid Eyeore would find the term “disgrace” troubling.

Exactly the point. Well put. But don’t EVER expect this scumbag to even give a sh#t about your opinion tho. He could care less. Jason rocks. And when criminal scumbags lie, cheat and steal from you, with the blessing of the MSM, then perhaps “ambush journalism” is all we have left. Does anyone expect to get an iota of truth from them
anymore in any other medium? Seriously people, wake the hell up! Things are much worse than they seem. Cornering rats like Jason does is small fries. If your skin is too thin on that issue, you are ignorant, and your arguments are shallow and misguided. They are criminals and we all know it and are desensitized to it and they play on that. Go Jason! Keep gettin in the faces. God bless and help us all……..

Err…that was Charlie Rangel who said that, not MM. How do you confuse those two???

tikvah on March 11, 2009 at 12:15 AM

Great job Jason. Now go after the rest of the tax cheats that are going to raise our taxes. http://trenaway.blogspot.com/

Trenaway El daryl on March 11, 2009 at 12:33 AM

No sir soon very soon
ALL americans will begin their uprising
and we will take all of your tax cheating obama appointees outside to be dealt with..

then we go after all of congress and the house or representatives..

Its time to clean out the white house and all of the hallowed halls of our fine country

take all these creeps out of office
Arrest them
then ship them over to iraq..

and leave them there..

You must really hate the Iraqi people. There is a facility on the island of Cuba that is about to be empty.

Imagine Susan Estrich moderating a debate between Charlie Rangel and Barney Frank.

If you closed your eyes, you’d think it was the Muppet Show.

That deserves another quote and bump.

Unfortunately, those who vote for him aren’t minding their business. He’ll probably get re-elected, but we can only hope he hurts his party.

Looks like someone needs to learn a lesson in respect for his elders and wiser. What a tool.

Someday, the Obama team will have squads of people who will enforce the truth and put an end to this kind of malarkey we see here.

Not having noticed this person’s posts here prior to this, I’m undecided as to whether he deserves to be lauded for a superb application of sarcasm….. Or if he is one of the most idiotic trolls of all time.
Will someone give me guidance as to which?

LegendHasIt on March 11, 2009 at 4:01 AM

Regardless if this pos is teflon or not, we should pay for a tv infomercial 24×7 that shows these public servants(;-) for what they are.
Rangle, Bawney, Chris, Murtha, Reid, Pelosi, Dollar Bill, etc. On a continuous loop on the stations received without cable.
The American people need to know, not just the relatively small amount of folk that actually pay attention to what’s going on.
I’ll kick in a $100 to get it started.

Are you serious? First, Ms. Malkin does not act “like the queen of moral Christianity,” unless you mean that actually having standards is “acting like.” Second, the third Commandment was violated by Rangle, and was highlighted here to show his imperious contempt for “the governed,” i.e., his employers. Finally, I don’t wish to be rude, but if this is the extent of your analytical abilities, you may want to find another blog where you can join in without immediately appearing foolish.

It is frustrating, isn’t it? With TTheoLogan, and several other trolls, I can’t tell if this is a case of willful ignorance, a classic case of Freudian transference, just wishful thinking that a conservative is somehow without principle, or simple spite for lack of better things to say.

Michelle didn’t break either in any identifiable way.

She hasn’t used the Lord’s name in vain…Rangel did on the video.

She hasn’t obviously coveted the possessions of others…Rangel is a Democrat which more often than not is an ideology in violation of the 10th commandment.

It is particularly applicable to Rangel since he writes the tax code, and I would submit that as evidence of his breaking the 10th commandment as well.

Note for future reference the quotation marks and accompanying video. Also note your own ridiculous exaggeration, “queen of moral Christianity” (as opposed to the immoral variety?) and “with abandon.” Think before post.

My husband (not a Hot Air reader) saw this last night on Glenn Beck. He recognized the Hot Air name, and was surprised, impressed, and liked that fact that Charlie was caught on tape, and the fact that it had made Glenn’s show on Fox Cable. We discussed afterwards how pathetic it was that the public and bloggers are now having to do what was once the proud territory of the press. Remember the days when the reporters used to run after such politicians, yelling embarrassing questions after them, catching it all on tape? The second slam of the whole video, (excellent job, Jason and Alyssa!) is at the pathetic nature of coverage the majority of our press does in this day and age. Thin, opinion pieces, with no meat or substance. Thank the News-Gods for blogs and their crews!

I hope I’m not the only one that emailed Rangel’s office last night with a few words about his conduct.
