I don’t know what Obama’s new Yucca Mtn policy-
but Yucca Mtn should NEVER have been started.
Recent Tertiary volcanic activity along with active fault systems makes that place a BAD depository for nuclear waste-period.

The Obamanation is a basic threat to the nation.

Unfortunately John McLame took away this issue in the campaign and people were stuck between Barack and a hard place, both would tax the public to death with this hoax scheme.

So? Johnny Mac hasn’t got a snowball’s chance of being the standard-bearer in 2012, and if the Republican candidates in 2010 can’t see that scrapping this cap’n'trade nonsense is vital to our lives, then we deserve to lose. Especially if the Donks panic and manage to ram it through yet this year – giving a full firsthand lesson to everybody in the US of just why and how it’s a Really Bad Idea. And at least Mac publicly supported expanding our reliance on nukes. Contrast to Present Obama’s new Yucca Mtn policy.

When gas prices shot out of sight last year — not through taxation but through bad policy — the hardest hit were those on fixed or low incomes, as it wiped out what was left of disposable income.

In every tax, the middle income gets hurt the most…those are the people who are often “upward” mobile, trying to pass through the terms of starting a home and family…and they are the ones knocked back down.
It becomes a “wall” that becomes even more difficult to scale, the wall of debt. that accumulates at the beginning of the formation of a family, a neighborhood.
It keeps the middle class, middle or lower…and it stops that “cross-over” from middle to upper-middle to upper.
Like stairs on a ladder, you build your wealth one rung at a time…the government removes a couple of rungs…

That´s how you buy votes and create jobs for bureaucrats who will also vote for you.

They have finally figured out a way to tax the airt that we breathe.

Keep in mind these cap and trades have their ‘allowances’ trade for a lot of money during booms and have their ‘allowances’ become worthless during a bust. So what happens when this government ‘calibrates’ the price during this economy? They will calibrate the prices to what they think they should be when in fact they are generally worthless during these times. Any economic growth we have will cause the allowances to sky-rocket in price which will keep us from restoring the economy.

Those gas prices just about killed us and we are not poor. However, we do have to drive a lot – my husband has a very long commute to work (no, he cannot car pool and there is no public transportation) and I drive my son a long distance to go to school (since the government school he is zoned to attend, and could take a bus to sucks). I’m sure there are a lot of middle/upper middle class families who rely on private, gas fueled transportation, and whose disposable income was gobbled up.

Also, people who live in an urban location like NYC where very few people drive (rich or poor) were not directly affected by the hikes in gas prices at all, and were only indirectly affected through the inflationary affect of high gas prices on consumer goods.

Congress was not affected either since we taxpayers pay for their gas – hence the lack of incentive to drill baby, drill.

1) The various utilities specify the premium consumers are paying right on the bill every month.

2) The Republicans ride this pony hard in 2010 and 2012.

This is hardly news to people who can think for themselves.

They are in for a a VERY rude awakening.

If this BS scheme passes then some Congress person should add an ammendment that every gas and electric bill should have a giant CAP & TRADE CARBON TAX line so that the sheeple will see where their increase is coming from. Also a huge sign on EVERY gas pump.

There is nothing to stop Energy companies from doing this now. In fact the Fuel companies should detail, on each and every receipt, how much of that $2.30/Gal price tag is fees and state and local taxes and how much is ‘local retailer profit’ and ‘supplier profit’.

But, like the withholding taxes – they remain hidden.
