Video: Guns, Guns, Guns

Steve Crowder gives a hilarious look at both the gun-control policies of the Obama administration and the intellectual honesty of Michael Moore. The argument on guns is excellent, but the highlight comes when Steve demonstrates how Moore edits his interviews for, er, clarity:

It may seem like wishful thinking to show Moore wailing and gnashing his burger and candy bar, but it may not be far from the truth, either. Moore feels pretty good about supposedly representing the majority after the November election, but in truth, people aren’t going to turn out in droves to watch pro-administration propaganda.  (They can get that from the broadcast networks for free, anyway.)  In contrast, Byron York discovers that the official White House attack machine of Operation Rushbo has benefited … Rush:

“The latest numbers I have are for January, well before this kerfuffle began, and they are through the roof — six shares in NY, for example. There are daily ratings taken now in about the top 15 markets but I have not seen them yet. All I can tell you is that as of January, we booked 80 percent of all our 2008 revenue and we’ll be over 2008 by the end of this month.”

The opposition can expect to see more of this trend, especially the longer Obama fumbles on the economy.

And on the topic of guns, don’t miss Frank J’s list of suggested alternate names for the gun-restriction bill.  My fave: The I Don’t Know Crap About Guns, But I’m Told These Ones Are Bad Act.

LOL! Good video. “I feel bad even mentioning her (Pelosi’s) name in the same sentence. At least the others had charm or talent.”

jgapinoy on March 6, 2009 at 3:10 PM

Yeah, thus far I find his videos more informed and certainly more entertaining than anything RNC Chairman Steele has put out.

As for Steve, I wonder if we can make him a board member of the NRA.

Handguns anyway…but yeah he knows…see what he is counting on most folks not thinking through is how much potential the war on terror has built into the Federal Government’s potential to enact tyrrany….pervasive intell, trained doorkickers, etc etc etc….if he can subvert the honor of the military he wins….of course he knows he can’t and thus the calls for the “Civillian National Security Force”….

Actually Penn and Teller also did a good show on how guns are essential to America. Part I-III can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfObDFVnfp0&feature=related.

This 1911 advocate strongly recommends Kimber. I got Custom I over 8 years ago for $700 though I wonder what that same firearm would cost today.

Yakko77 on March 6, 2009 at 3:38 PM

I’d strongly consider western weapons like an Uberti or Pietta cartridge weapon….simple mechanically, accurate and easily smithed if needs must be….not as a main choice but if you are supplementing your collection not a bad buy…

sven10077 on March 6, 2009 at 3:40 PM

What a bunch of BS…

He doesn’t really expect us to believe that he doesn’t also own a .22 pistol for bullseye shooting, does he?

Still…punks won’t keep their damn fingers off the trigger.

MadisonConservative on March 6, 2009 at 3:43 PM

Only one problem with Steve’s videos,….NEVER long enough!

I liked the Michael Moore edit. That’s about right!

This morning I created a small sign in PS, that I attached to my front gate, after going over to Kinko’s to have it laminated too protect it from the weather.

Can you say deterrent?

I knew you could.

Not Over.

1GooDDaDDy on March 6, 2009 at 6:53 PM

Hey, I’m not embarrassed to admit that I practice with a .22! My Beretta Neos is a fun piece, and cheap to shoot as well.

Question for the gun owners: Seeing any problems getting a hold of ammo? All the wal-marts in the Tampa FL area have been sold out of most any pistol caliber for weeks.

Ed in FL on March 6, 2009 at 6:54 PM

Very cute

BHO Jonestown on March 6, 2009 at 6:55 PM

I’ve wondered all day at work about this vid. (Military Net Nanny) Very professionally done. Funny and great timing.

My only critique would be, do more!

hawkdriver on March 6, 2009 at 7:08 PM

Funny.

I just bought a Marlin Camp Carbine .45acp. It uses 1911 ammo and mags so I only have to carry one ammo type for my rifle and sidearm. Next month, this guy…

Come and “disarm me”, Dhimicrats.

Claypigeon on March 6, 2009 at 7:09 PM

Hard to beat my mossberg pump for home defense. But I’ll keep the Kel Tec 9mm for my carry weapon. The SR-9 is just a little too big.

conservativecaveman on March 6, 2009 at 7:24 PM

Nice job Steve

WisCon on March 6, 2009 at 7:29 PM

There’s a gun show tomorrow and Sunday…I’m going shopping…

…with cash, of course.

1GooDDaDDy on March 6, 2009 at 6:53 PM

It’s spelled Beretta…but if your home invader knows the difference he’d probably go somewhere else anyway.

James on March 6, 2009 at 7:29 PM

Added two family members this week -a mini fourteen and a Marlin 795 (a sweet .22 rifle). Both are for me, the little lady of the house. The rest of the arsenal was gracious in accepting the newbies, as they always are.

To paraphrase saiga – This is where this citizen of the Republic of Mexifornia draws the line (I know, not as impressive as a Texan).

InTheBellyoftheBeast on March 6, 2009 at 7:33 PM

Awesome! Have bought three guns since the election and 3000 rounds of ammo…things are not looking so good lately.

Never needed a semi-auto for hunting, but bought mini-14 (6.8mm) recently because I figured there maybe some looters from the big city to deal with soon. Anybody seen any high capacity mags for the mini 6.8 yet?

jwp1964 on March 6, 2009 at 7:37 PM

It’s spelled Beretta…but if your home invader knows the difference he’d probably go somewhere else anyway.

James on March 6, 2009 at 7:29 PM

That’s funny.

I went to their web site to make sure of the spelling (because well…ah…I wasn’t sure…damn you get the drift), that’s how they had it anyway.

And to think I blew 2 bucks on having it laminated too. Geez.

Not Over.

peski on March 6, 2009 at 8:12 PM

@ 1GooDDaDDy, NICE! I may have to work one up for myself. One that says Springfield Armory (XDM .40), Bushmaster (AR), and Stoeger (18″ semi auto with the Benelli inertia system).

Ammo’s kinda hard to find, sometimes backordered. Try gunbroker.com (just like ebay) and sportsmansguide.com. Have gotten a good bit of .40, .223, and 12 ga in already, more backordered, coming in May (!)

bikermailman on March 6, 2009 at 8:51 PM

Need to see more videos like this. The anti-gun lobby has so much misinformation floating around, it’s gonna be a tough fight ahead. Crowder here is off to a good start. I love it.

1GooDDaDDy on March 6, 2009 at 6:53 PM

This may suprise you, but if ever leave your home unattended on a regular basis, such as going to work, this is just an inventory list for thieves.

Not a lot of hits for a gun thread…. especially after such a well made and funny video.

OneEyedJack on March 6, 2009 at 10:38 PM

Kimber full sized like the Carry are going for around $1200. A good alternate option is the Taurus PT1911. In a plain jane blue wrapper, you could find them for $550 from a friendly gun shop, and they are very nice. Well made, with tight tolerances.

For the riflemen here, Appleseed!

El Cazador on March 6, 2009 at 11:30 PM

Hmmm, no linky. Sure would be nice to have that “edit” option

El Cazador on March 6, 2009 at 11:38 PM

One of the major excuses they are trying to use to ban military style weapons here in the USA is that some are finding their way into Mexico. Makes sense…lets take away the ability of law abiding Americans to defend themselves from violent drug runners because they (the drug runners) have all the guns, amazing. Arizona is being painted as the kidnapping capitol of the world now. They are placing the blame on the Drug cartel which does happen, mostly cartel turf wars. This is the way gun control and open border advocates divert the attention towards drug trafficking, when the majority of the kidnappings are done by coyotes trying to extort more money from the families of illegal aliens.

Badbrucskie on March 7, 2009 at 12:12 AM

Second Amendment Foundation Online – woman shoots attacker

Very traumatic audio from the 911 recording. The woman was attacked, the police couldn’t get there in time so she defended herself. A happy ending in that the bad guy is dead and the victim alive but she is clearly in shock over it all as I imagine just about anyone would be.

Yakko77 on March 7, 2009 at 2:01 AM

Beautiful.

Freedom is exploding fellows, and “the children will lead”.

But I think some rough, tough men will be needed before this is through.

Steve Crowder is a great new addition to our side. If you can make fun of something, it is factual. Because facts, no matter how inane or important, are the basis for humor.

Added advantage to the Kimber, you can get a conversion kit (barrel, slide and spring) to shoot .22 LR. Makes for cheap practice, and performs beautifully.
