At the base is the concept that elected officials think they are rulers. Long ago, most of them forgot or ignored the idea that they exist to protect the liberty of US citizens and ensure the the continuation of the republic.

Republicans need to stand on principle and if a Blue Dog is standing alongside us in this belief that Card Check is an attack against voter privacy, then who cares what “side” their on. If we consistently stand on principle, we won’t lose our way and perhaps attract others with like principles. Is that so bad?

The SEIU doesn’t have a pot to piss in in OK. Look at the election results from November—only WY gave McCain/Palin a higher percentage of votes for president.

Boren’s perfectly safe, and perfectly in line with his constituents on this issue.

I agree with you and don’t know why I even bother to comment. Maybe the old south should try secession again while adding the rest of middle america. The Supreme Court would probably approve this time.

Well there is a way to fight back though it may take some time. Do not stay at or book events or attend events where SEIU calls the shots. I will certainy do this in the future, it will make me feel better I think.

There are pros and cons about Unionization…mostly “Cons”. I speak as a ‘dismember’ of (2) Unions over a span of 30+ years. I know what I speak of. “Seafarers International Union” and “American Maritime Officers Union.” I had to pay ‘dues’ in both unions (due or die) in order to retire with a paltry retirement. I drive a 1999 Chevy pick-up, and live in an apartment complex paying $750 a month, and food and utilities ain’t getting no cheaper.

P.S. You can call me Captain (Tugboat Joe)…as if that would pay the rent.
