I’m not familiar with newspapers sales, but their revenue crash is the result of craigslist.

Ed, why doesn’t the US Congress instead require Planned Parenthood to separate its abortion businesses from its other businesses and only fund the other businesses?

Wait a minute, no one told me the Catholic Church was supported by Congressional funding – what in the heck happened to the “wall of separation” that’s in the constitution?

Or, is this just a snarky post that going to try to justify its obvious misdirection by claiming that its talking about some sort of funding under the “faith-based initiatives” programs (which can NOT be used for supporting the actual church)?

Are people lying and being misleading in these forums? How do I know what the truth is if someone doesn’t post it for me??

Given what appears to be an organizational mandate to violate state reporting requirements for statutory rape and child abuse, the Catholic Church and Catholic organizations should get stripped of all government funding for any of its activities. This amendment doesn’t cut off funds for health activities; it restores some long-overdue accountability for the Catholic Church’s lawless behavior, supported by such funding in the past.

Akers’ post is dishonest and should be repudiated, either by Akers herself or her editors.

Had an epiphany this morning…. as I was going through various data sources looking for a specific piece of information…

We have tons of imformation available to us on the net, BUT, the veracity of that information is only as good as the source.

It used to be that we had Newpaper editors who ensured that the stories had some semblance of truth and fact to them… NOW? so such thing is gong on. There is no fact checking… no verification of stories before they go out on the air/web/print…

Yet people are still indoctrinated that if its in print, its true… as we were taught in school… after all, you’re not supposed to argue with your textbooks…

Even “Fact Check” sites are suspect, as they are funded by political partisans these days…

Is that the real reason for the downturn of Newspaper sales? and MSM TV news viewership? That we just can’t trust the content anymore?

I believe it is part of a larger plan. It is the Democrats’ goal to get as many people dependent on the government in some form as possible. As the market continues to crumble, people will rush into the arms of government programs. Allowing this freefall to happen is simply a means to that end.
