“The Power Line guys, the guys at Power Line blog have been stupendous, as have been the people at NewsBusters, and Hot Air, Ed Morrissey and some of the people at Hot Air.  There’s some oddballs there, but Ed Morrissey, Michelle Malkin, they have been great on this.”

I am a Dittohead,and a Georgian!

All Hail Rush!!hehe

canopfor on March 5, 2009 at 10:51 PM

No. Then I looked around and noticed that the rest of you were still crying about fred while we smart ones were still looking for the best viable candidate.
csdeven on March 5, 2009 at 10:49 PM

We still had the cheerleaders though, while you were yelling your own name in victory to the empty bleachers.

Bishop on March 5, 2009 at 10:52 PM

You can thank Ed for that. Rush has no patience for atheists, from what I can tell.

Allahpundit on March 5, 2009 at 10:44 PM

OMG…Allah responded to me! I think this is the 3rd time ever in my HotAir life! I dunno about his stance on atheists/agnostics. I found his last line of the CPAC speech rather stunning. He said something to the effect that once people close their doors it’s no one’s business.

Anyone who listened to his speech on Saturday and didn’t come away inspired and uplifted probably doesn’t have a lot in common with the bulk of us, anyway.

I wish we had politicians who had half his ability to communicate the conservative message.

capitalist piglet on March 5, 2009 at 10:53 PM

Sad: Palin picks pro-choice judge for Alaska Supreme Court over Pro-Life option. A very odd system in Alaska.

amerpundit on March 5, 2009 at 10:43 PM

Actually, both are pro-choice and she had to pick one of them due to the screwy system they got in Alaska. Lesser of two evils.

You think I’m gonna back off defending Sarah just because you placed that cheap shot on this what was a wonderful oddball thread for AP.

No, you had to hijack AP’s night to attack the Cuda.

I apologize AP from all of us here at Sarah’s Palace Guard for this most unfortunate incident.

Enjoy your JD or wine cooler or whatever.

Thanks.

Mary Mapes, producer of the 60 Minutes, blamed Allahpundit, among others, for “working anonymously in what appeared to be huge numbers, in unison, to destroy the Bush-Guard story.
From Wiki! Allah is on Wiki.
You stud.

carbon_footprint on March 5, 2009 at 10:54 PM

Well Allah, the only way you would get mentioned beyond this site is because you are an oddball. It sure as shit wouldn’t be for your political analysis. You seem to think you are brilliant and Michelle seems to be fooled for now so I guess it is working for you.

echosyst on March 5, 2009 at 10:55 PM

HotAir’s version of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly are the Good, the Oddball, and the Beauty. Guess who is who.

Paul-Cincy on March 5, 2009 at 10:24 PM

I was seriously miscast as the Ugly in the first one, they had told me I would be the Good, so I should be the beauty in this one.

Rush has no patience for atheists, from what I can tell.

Based on? I’m surprised – I’ve not heard Rush rail against atheists. Not saying he wouldn’t, but I’ve not heard it.

Spirit of 1776 on March 5, 2009 at 10:55 PM

Wow, HotAir could really explode now in influence that Rush with his 20 million loyal follower gave it strong plug.

One caveat though; if Oddball keeps up with his RINO rants it could taper off again fairly soon.

Are you still bravely standing against Rush’s thuggery? Don’t tell me, you yelled at the radio during his show and used a cutout of his face to decorate your dartboard?

The Chinese guy who stood down a tank in Tiananmen Square had nothing on you in the courage department.

I found his last line of the CPAC speech rather stunning. He said something to the effect that once people close their doors it’s no one’s business.

Me neither. I don’t think that’s it. He has railed against moderates and Beltway dinner party Republicans, though. My guess is he doesn’t think Allah has an appreciation for salt-of-the-earth types, like Governor Palin.

capitalist piglet on March 5, 2009 at 10:58 PM

Like I said, Rush. I was a supporter of yours until you went after Huckabee. You viciously and dishonestly attacked him for being too liberal. It really irritated me that he was being hammered by you and your friends in so-called conservative talk radio the way I have watched liberals hit Bush for the last few years. That was just too much… watching you go after one of your own like that. That is when you lost me. What a joke that was. I still maintain that Mike Huckabee is a conservative – more conservative than you and all these other zero’s in talk radio. Just because he doesn’t subscribe to the robber baron conservatism we’ve seen in the past doesn’t make him a liberal. You are not real conservatives. Everyday Americans living in medium to small towns who make this country what it is are real conservatives. And I think the latest Presidential election really proves the point. That is why I say it is essential we build a real conservative movemement. We need alternative media and alternative mass movements. These phonies need to be exposed because Americans know deep down that these elites do NOT have their best interests at heart. So that in future years we won’t ever be put in this situation again. America is finished if there isn’t a real conservative movement. If we don’t have a real conservative movement America is doomed!

Weight of Glory on March 5, 2009 at 11:10 PM

I doubt Allah will lose any sleep not getting mentioned (or oddballed) by Rush.
I like the diversity of opinion myself, just like Little Green Footballs, different beliefs but still Republicans.

I will take it.

Better than relying on morons like Micheal Moore,Bill Maher, and Andrew Sullivan for information.

Rush/Hannity are strong voices for the Republican party that apparently we can’t get up on the hill,so I will support them even though I can only listen to them in doses.

I prefer:
Mark Steyn,Tammy Bruce,Larry Elder,Mark Levin.

I may be wrong but I believe Steyn filled in for Rush a week or so ago and did a he!! of a job.

Rush,Hannity, and Beck should plug sights like this a lot more to combat the propaganda coming from liberals trying to distract and provide cover for the ” Obama Circus”

I think Rush maybe has noticed the copious amount of atheism threads over the last couple of years. Heck. I’ll be honest. To me, and I speak for me only of course, the tone of the AllahP atheism threads in the beginning amounted to anti-Christian attacks, basically, on more than one occassion. I mean, Ed and AllahP are the only two bloggers we have here these days, and he commended Ed and noted ‘oddballs’. I dunno.

Maybe Rush noticed the head of steam building on the recent AllahP anti-Creation rants similar to those that have driven Charles Johnson over the edge and well on his way to one-flew-over-the-cuckoos-nest (and drove me to remove Little Green Footballs from my blog bookmarks. I’ll never visit LGF again at this point. There’s nothing there that interests me anymore), and attracted all the ultra-hate filled LGF members he has now. Maybe that’s where the ‘oddballs’ remark came from?

I’m just guessing. But if that’s the case, I can’t argue with Rush.

Rush is Right!

Good job Ed and Michelle!

Obviously hard core folks are going to be the loudest and that bleeds over on your perception of other social/fiscal conservatives.

Cindy Munford on March 5, 2009 at 11:23 PM

It was my understanding that he was not pro-life. In fact, apparently he is very pro-environment to the extreme of being anti-business. I’m sure that was a big reason why she did not pick him.

I don’t know Casey’s voting record on life issues.

Sapwolf on March 5, 2009 at 11:17 PM

She looked at the big picture instead of just taking one pro-life organization’s direction in making the appointment.

That’s a big plus in her favor, and I don’t think anybody is gonna say Gov. Palin’s pro-life beliefs and behavior are in question.

I just wish more social conservatives could adopt this libertarian-type attitude and approach.

For me this was the highlight of the speech and reveals a pathway that a conservative can take to reel in more moderate voters who may be fiscally conservative.

technopeasant on March 5, 2009 at 11:17 PM

We have Techno.

I know NO socons who are for kicking down the doors of someone’s residence to arrest them for buggery.

The problem is that liberals are taking all the indoors stuff and shoving it in our face in just about any form of media and calling us fascists because we don’t serve up our children to gay boy scoutmasters.

I agree wholeheartedly: What happens in your personal Vegas stays in Vegas. If it comes out, its now all our problem. The aggressiveness of the social left is pretty scary. Of course, I’m from the SF Bay Area so I’ve had to put up with the madness.

Sapwolf on March 5, 2009 at 11:23 PM

Allah Oddball,

…kind of a ring to it, yes? No. Yeah, you’re right. Anyway, I love Michelle, Ed, and Allah, and Brian, for that matter.

Great work.

Dave.

Your Welcome Rush, you are most welcome.

As I said from a previous post:

For the 2012 crowd of potentials, take heed.

Expectations have been set and benchmarked.

What I only care about now is if his message is getting through to these employees my taxes pay for.

It’s time to hammer home why the Obama policies will not work.

MadisonConservative on March 5, 2009 at 11:24 PM

MM does that every time she’s on Fox. It doesn’t produce any extra traffic.

Allah, Yes, There are about the same number of people tuned into both of these. I stand corrected.

AES on March 5, 2009 at 11:25 PM

Hi Madison. I love you (snip).

That was my understanding too. She is a constructionist, and wants to keep to the constitution.

Hey, gotta sleep.

Allah,

Congrats on the plug from Limbaugh. Get some rest. You earned it.

G’nite.

Sapwolf on March 5, 2009 at 11:26 PM

OT. Folks, we are so freaking screwed.

WASHINGTON — Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd is moving to allow the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to temporarily borrow as much as $500 billion from the Treasury Department.

Nothing like taking care of debt with debt. Hey here’s an idea just take all our money. That way there is nothing left to insure.

Weight of Glory on March 5, 2009 at 11:26 PM

Your snark and your sense of humor have always been entertaining, Allah, even in the long ago days before HotAir. I’m sure Rush knows you’re one of the good guys, just not a down-the-line conservative.

inmypajamas on March 5, 2009 at 11:27 PM

Nicely done.

Cindy Munford on March 5, 2009 at 11:19 PM

Thank you. I try to be kind and nice to them.

apacalyps on March 5, 2009 at 11:27 PM

I heard the “oddball” comment on Rush today when talking about HotAir and how he liked Ed and said that is Allahpundit he is talking about!!

Congrats AP you are famous for being the David Frum conservative!

Made my day for Rush to confirm what I thought about AP.

Conan on March 5, 2009 at 11:28 PM

Yeah, seriously. I’m retarded.

Allahpundit on March 5, 2009 at 11:05 PM

Remember, AP, you never go full retard…

I gave her (?) an opening to express specifically why she doesn’t like Rush…nothing yet.

capitalist piglet on March 5, 2009 at 11:00 PM

I find him to be another bloviating – vituperating gasbag full of himself, starved for attention.

I don’t have to like him just because the collective does.

He’s just another The One as far as I’m concerned.

after I made reference to Peggy Noonan and possible menopause issues. ;)
