The Obama Report Card: What’s your grade?
posted at 2:40 pm on March 4, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
Michael Kraskin of AOL’s Political Machine has a handy way to express your approval or disapproval of Barack Obama after six weeks on the job. Give Obama an overall grade as well as assessments on individual subjects, such as National Security and Health Care:
I’m not sure whether they will break out results by state like they do with the Hot Seat polls, or by blog sites, which might be more fun. It’s a new widget that will certainly get a lot of attention, especially if Obama keeps flirting with flunking out.

Skinny, coked up and marxist is no way to go thru life son…Dean Pyle.

Argentina won’t take him. They already tried this route with Peron and went quickly from a rich country to an indebted third-world nation. They have spent half a century trying to recover.

A+!
anniekc on March 4, 2009 at 3:36 PM
A couple of Cs and Ds. The Cs are for health care and the environment because he hasn’t done anything one way or the other to deserve higher or lower. The Ds in national security for throwing out missile defense in an inane desire to placate the Russians who will never respond in kind and for signaling to all our enemies that we’re going to cut and run at the earliest possible instances. I consider the Cs to be incompletes.
On the economy, he gets a failing grade because his first instinct is to talk the economy into a death spiral and to send his tax cheating Treasury Secretary to call for a new plan to stop companies from engaging in tax avoidance measures (lawful ones at that).

Come to think of it, we might all be better off if he was coked up. Let’s start a collection.
TXUS on March 4, 2009 at 3:39 PM
F’s across the board for screwing all these subjects up!
C in Environment because that class has not met yet (as soon as it does he’ll most likely match the F’s in the other three subjects.
Mr. Obama – you are due in tutoring every day after school and during electives until you can pass your classes. Should you fail to improve, you will be sent back to The Senate with the rest of the flunkies!
Susanboo on March 4, 2009 at 3:39 PM
those of you who gave him a “d” because he kept some of Bush’s policies and/or advisors, I have to overrule that and give him an F anyway because the economy is related to national security, and he has tanked the economy so far that it now is affected.

Mr. Sotero is now on double secret probation along with the rest of his crew of tax dodgers, racists, socialists and opportunists. He can be Pretender in Chief until 2010. Then we can send some Adults to DC.

LOL. Animal went to Congress, so why not Barry to the Precendency? (Yes, I did it on purpose.)
College Prof on March 4, 2009 at 3:43 PM
Not to worry. Things are getting better. Obama says so himself. Obama says the ‘profit and earning ratios’ are starting to get to the point where buying stocks is a potentially good deal.
petefrt on March 4, 2009 at 3:43 PM
Amazing how it only took us 44 Presidents to go from Hero to Zero
Matt Helm on March 4, 2009 at 3:44 PM
Well, could’nt resist this one.
I hope he gets an F.
nagee76 on March 4, 2009 at 3:47 PM
F…for FAIL,FRAUD,FOOLISH,FAKE,,…etc.
you get the point..: o )
christene on March 4, 2009 at 3:49 PM
Oh no, here we go again.
neuquenguy on March 4, 2009 at 3:50 PM
I was pretty stunned to hear him say that. You really don’t have to know much about finance or stock markets to know what a p/e ratio is. And the fraudulent one clearly does not.
What a freakin’ clown. I gave him an F on everything.
califcon on March 4, 2009 at 3:53 PM
This was extremely easy.
National security = C. Explanation:
His continuing Bush’s Iraq policy a plus
the closing Gitmo EO was a strike against him
AfPak policy (including the Predator strikes) are a mark in his favor
Missile Defense and Iran bendover policy are major strikes,
Had it not been for the Iran and Russia stuff, he’d have gotten a B.
Everything else, F’s across the board…overall, F.
Rogue on March 4, 2009 at 3:54 PM
Damm kept scrolling to the right but the stupid thing doesent go PAST “f” whatever happened to “U”
EricPWJohnson on March 4, 2009 at 3:56 PM
How much you folks want to bet his school transcripts look simmilar…
liquidflorian on March 4, 2009 at 4:02 PM
This poll needs a “T,” for “Troll.”
BKennedy on March 4, 2009 at 4:05 PM
Looks like overall is a D. Now apply affirmative action formula and Obama is an A+ president.
Prettie eazy wen you gots yur mine in da rite plaze.
jukin on March 4, 2009 at 4:06 PM
Come now this is just too easy! The post about his real school transcripts though…now there’s something I’d like to see.
petunia on March 4, 2009 at 4:06 PM
Grades of “F” across the board.
It can be argued that he doesn’t deserve it. I’d agree but, frankly, the poll doesn’t offer anything lower than that.
teke184 on March 4, 2009 at 4:08 PM
I was stunned too.
When I first read his comment I read right over his mistake. I mean, as you say, ya don’t need to know much about finance or stock markets to know what a p/e ratio is. So you do a quick double-take and keep on reading. When another HA poster pointed it out, I could hardly believe my eyes.
And this is the clown who says he’s fixing the economy. God help us all.
petefrt on March 4, 2009 at 4:08 PM
LOL!! EricP – U is a deportment grade, not an academic grade! But yeah, he gets a U in deportment, for way too much partying in the White House during a bad recession, and especially for the way he treated British PM Gordan Brown during his visit yesterday!
Susanboo on March 4, 2009 at 4:11 PM
Its fantastic that we have a D student for president, a D student affirmative action hire to say the least. Just friggin great.
Viper1 on March 4, 2009 at 4:12 PM
Enough votes are in now that those C’s we first saw are now all down to a D, except for an F in the Economy.

capitulus on March 4, 2009 at 4:48 PM
F on everything. The man is an idiot. Americans are even dumber for turning the country over to this affirmative action slacker.

Good ones, both of you. I couldn’t resist this one:
“And as for you Mr.

So if graded on a curve and given that the people who voted for him are even dumber than he is, I’ll give Obama-Mugabe a gentleman’s D-.
And then expel his dumb ass.

did this boob get a D average in college? we don’t know do we? why is that??
Ris4victory on March 4, 2009 at 4:56 PM
The topic under discussion is the grade for Obama the Zero, Democratic Motors’ Edsel–the money-guzzling, smoke-spewing, poor suspension lemon with a bad front end alignment (it always drifts left); not the sleek, promising Palin Roadster that was rushed into production a little too soon–but not to worry, the 2012 model will have all the problems ironed out. Plus Republican Motors will have the 2012 Jindal, the 2012 Romney, the 2012 Sanford, and maybe some other models that are still in R and D. By then, the country will most definitely be ready to trade up to a better model President.
Matt Helm on March 4, 2009 at 5:00 PM
I think it funny that when real people fill out surveys the answer is different than what the news media would report. The polls are taken by people sitting home all day not working, real people are at work and never contacted. Think about it, if his approval rating is dropping, then the recipients of the government giveaway are troubled and not getting what he promised, this is a bad sign for those that pay taxes as the Ozama administration will stop at nothing to take care of vagrants.
workingforpigs on March 4, 2009 at 5:09 PM
I gave Obama an “F” across the board…if there had been a lower score I would have chosen it.
.
philly_nj on March 4, 2009 at 5:13 PM
I’ll take the 2012 Palin Roadster over this classic little gem from Iowahawk: http://iowahawk.typepad.com/iowahawk/2008/11/lemon.html

Environment: D (for Don Quixote, tilting at windmills)
But, oooh, that tingle up my leg!
Steve Z on March 4, 2009 at 6:56 PM
Per the Brave New World grading system I rate Obambi an E-minus moron. He’s the useless quota hire screwing up the company because he can’t be gotten rid of or some card will be played. So you hope he can be assigned to watering the flowers or keeping the water cooler filled so he won’t get in the way of the productive.
viking01 on March 4, 2009 at 7:16 PM
Grading him was as easy as deciding if the worst young Airmen I ever saw during my career should be allowed reenlist or not. From what I understood he did about as well in civilian life as ‘dear leader’ is doing in the White House. A big fat FAILURE!
Retired USAF on March 4, 2009 at 7:21 PM
I’d give him a G if I could. I’d assume it would be worse than an F, and it could stand for GHASTLY.
flutejpl on March 4, 2009 at 8:17 PM
Let see Ecomony=Tanked, Using Russia to stop Iran= idiotic,Free Health care= 6 months to see a doctor and Enviroment= if he passes Cap and Trade we will not be able to afford our houses.
So F, that it is all I can give the man,is a F. How about L for Loser(him and all of America)or R for Rat-finked bastard that is destroying my country or T for Two-faced S&^ of a B%$#&.

My answers matched the average perfectly.
peski on March 4, 2009 at 8:49 PM
I gave him F’s across the board. I tried to justify higher grades, but given that he has no opposition in Congress and the media behind him, I don’t see why he is doing so poorly.
I suspect the Marines in this vid would also give him an F.
Y-not on March 4, 2009 at 8:56 PM
He will get a straight ‘F’ and will know he got a straight ‘F’ and will tell all the stupid people how he is getting an ‘A’ and they will completely believe him…

These academic exercises (pun intended) may help make us feel better, but does any of this matter? He hovers so high above mere mortals that nothing touches him. The crashing stock market doesn’t move him. The rising unemployment numbers don’t move him. The downfall of American exceptionalism doesn’t matter to him (and may, in fact, be his goal). The idiocy of his own political appointments don’t put a smudge on his popularity. He is the black messiah; adored by the media, marveled at by the intelligencia, protected and nurtured by a deeply corrupt Democrat party that believes they are utterly beholden to him for their power. Most will prop him up unto their own destruction.
Why the hell would he care about this?
SKYFOX on March 5, 2009 at 5:49 AM
I gave him all F’s.
NOw if there was a category for his party giving and hip hoppiness…he’d get an A.
becki51758 on March 5, 2009 at 6:46 AM
I give him all “A”s for implementing socialism/Communism. I was raised if you can’t say something nice…screw that.
adamsmith on March 5, 2009 at 8:25 AM
Starting with the way he is handling the economy of U.S. by spending every dollar in the bank today and the future impacts every other grade.
No money to defend the country and to many earmarks (which he promised not to allow) for special projects that do not provide for improvements in healthcare or environment.
