Perhaps the republican Party should get together, and revoke party membership from the socialists in republican clothing, and maybe find a Representative who, when MSM tries to clobber him with Rush and the like,will preen and respond with a “Damned strait”, and make him Minority Whip in the short term and speaker when we regain the majority.

They bent to peer pressure, plain and simple. Look, I have a huge amount of leftist friends. I’m an artist who was involved in the NY art scene, the music industry, and film in LA. I have taken crap for my views from friends, but I don’t back down. Lots of times I don’t talk politics with them, but I have subversive ways of getting my point across. I could barely look at my facebook page during the election because most of my friends changed their middle names to Hussein and had that stupid poster as their profiles pictures. Everyone is strangely silent now. I guess my long winded point is that it would be easier to adopt their views instead of sticking to my guns and occasionally be called crazy (if you saw me compared to some them, you would laugh at that, btw), but I don’t. Has is cost me jobs? I don’t know for sure, we suspect that my husband didn’t get a huge promotion at a studio (one that was strongly hinted at) because he didn’t contribute to the Clinton campaign’s personal solicitation. So what I’m saying is that both Brooks and Buckley are cowards, Brooks especially looks like a whiney milquetoast.

I use these blogs as my oasis of rational discussions.

David Brooks is a political mercenary no different from David Gergen. If PBS or the NY Times were to ask either to pretend to be anything it is certain that either would morph into whatever character was requested that they play. As soon as the check cleared. No different from the shills that clap on the infomercials.
