Video: Red State Update remixes Jindal’s speech

Not the funniest vid of the week — that would be this — but a close second. These two are never better than when they’re doing overdubs (especially overdubs of Bill Richardson) and this is no exception: Watch as they nail the sing-songy cadence that had so many HA commenters tearing at their hair on Tuesday night. I have mixed feelings about the “Slumdog” joke, though. On the one hand, it’s comedy and true to the Eastwoodian spirit, so they deserve a wide berth; on the other hand, and needless to say, not for a minute would they be given that berth by, say, Media Matters if they were a conservative outfit. The left-wing watchdogs’ enlightened finger-wag of shame only points in one direction. But we already knew that.
As for Jindal, enjoy these wise words from an unlikely source. The guy’s brilliant and has a bright future, one horrible speech notwithstanding.

Bobby, Bobby, Bobby. Be Bobby. Stop listening to the staff who advised you for your speech. They suck.

Funny because those girls were addressing you personally, Allah?

I’ve shaved the goatee since then.

The funniest video is funny for a couple of reasons:
It is Allah commenting on his pal Ace.
It is a social commentary on Obama’s various cabinet picks.
Mr. Joe on March 1, 2009 at 3:14 PM
Or as Goldstein would say: OUTLAWS!
Mr. Joe on March 1, 2009 at 3:15 PM
The GOP has tried to control Jindal and Palin.
With wonderful results.

I figured Ace would be here.

The “puke” video wasn’t funny to me, but I did chuckle with the CK1 and ColdPlay references.
SouthernGent on March 1, 2009 at 3:30 PM
Whoa, I can’t believe what you’re pushing as the funniest video. Maybe that would have been funny like 10 years ago…
bayam on March 1, 2009 at 3:31 PM
And when I say God, I mean Jesus !! Not that one with all the crazy arms – Jesus had only two arms !!

The boobies/paper machete volcano/piggly wiggly/SDM jokes are just comedy gold..

Come on ladies, we’ve all been there at least once.

Thanks, AP. The Al Gore cadence prompted an immediate and massive allergic reaction. I am now taking Benadryl through a central line.

That was a funny video. I loved the last line the most(and I agree with it incidentally).

…or at least three months ago.
Memnon on March 1, 2009 at 3:54 PM
That was overdubbed? Are you sure/ It sounded exactly like Jindal’s real speech to me.
Daggett on March 1, 2009 at 3:54 PM
“Bobby Jindal will be one hell of a President in ‘12 yes sir”
“Better than Sarah Palin?”
“One hell of a Vice President in ‘12 yes sir”.
Classic. Classic. Love it.

Sorry Allah, Puke in my mouth video was pretty lame. Now the original version, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4 that’s funny.
Lance Murdock on March 1, 2009 at 4:01 PM
Is this humor?
The asshats who write this stuff could do better with a look at the phonies and gender challenged at MSNBC. That could be funny.
Also, will the media ever contrast Jindal’s American story of a family bent on success with faith and ethics with The One’s nightmare? Consider the horrible, alcoholic, crib robbing father who went to Harvard and deserted his family and a grandmother who clearly turned The One on rich white people and a mother who couldn’t stay around. Ask any psychiatrist. A fine pot for a sociopath.
I am holding my breath.

Spot on.

I’ll pass on this vid and the “this” vid that both look ugly. Why post these and give them more exposure? Am I missing something?
Christian Conservative on March 1, 2009 at 6:25 PM
I think all three videos were pretty good. Red State Update could have been better but they did a pretty good job of imitating Jindal’s speech. He will do better next time and in 6 months it will be like it never happened. As for the puking and the J*zzing (great now I sound like Jerry Lewis) videos I think for some they were a bit to close to home.
LincolntheHun on March 1, 2009 at 6:56 PM
The “handlers” of the Republican candidates are either totally incompetent or obviously working for the dimocrats.
volsense on March 1, 2009 at 7:07 PM
I usually like redstate updates but this one was pretty lame.
becki51758 on March 1, 2009 at 7:33 PM
Bobby came across well on 60 Minutes, it was a pretty flattering piece – almost like the ones they used to do on McCain.
Jim62sch on March 1, 2009 at 8:01 PM
Actually, nothing could make me less likely to support Jindal than reading some K. Parker crap.

You’re on the borderline to getting a GDIACF well-wishing.
MadisonConservative on March 2, 2009 at 12:05 AM
Wise words for Kathleen Parker?
Let’s see, you mean like this?
Pity Palin was referring to olive fruit fly research commissioned by a Democrat Californian senator in the pockets of other Californian Democrats with boutique farms and vineyards who couldn’t give a toss about medical research. Pity the olive fruit fly esearch used federal monies on the pretense of assisting the tiniest of tiny boutique industries in California, which is why it earnt its place in the Pork Book. We can send you fruit fly free olive oil from down here for much less.
And here I was thinking that the stimulus bill was about creating jobs and stimulating credit. Duh me.
Memo from an Aussie to American conservatives: if this broad is supposed to be indicative of conservative brains, ditch her. She’s dumber than a bag of hair.
