Video: Limbaugh brings down the house at CPAC; Update: Full video added

I’ve been waiting an hour and a half for the complete video to appear somewhere, but Townhall’s feed isn’t working and there are only bits and pieces of the speech up at YouTube. The full transcript’s posted at Rush’s site; I’ll give you the first hour or so of video that’s available now and then update accordingly. Check back periodically.
Haven’t watched yet myself, but his point about certain other people wanting certain other presidents to fail is well taken. Meanwhile, here’s the result of the CPAC straw poll: Romney 20, Jindal 14, Paul 13, Palin 13. I’m shocked that Jindal beat Palin, especially after the atomic bomb he dropped on Tuesday night. And what happened to Huck? Sixth place with just seven percent of the vote after that stemwinder he delivered on Thursday? If anyone’s chances for the nomination smell dead after this, it’s his.

The truth is that the left from Washington to hollywood to the Air America tools have been engaged in the most hateful dissent against President Bush for the last eight years. Vince Bugliosi is still calling for his trial and execution. For getalife to have been part of that crowd that prayed nightly that the war would go poorly and many soldiers would be killed so they could regain their power and then come here twist the meaning of Limbaugh and criticizing him for dissent takes the cake for hypocrisy.
I’m done asking him the question because I know the answer and so does he. He hates the military and everyone in it. The liberals only tolerate us now that their guy is in power. But they still secretly pray for our enemies while they bitch about their 401Ks.
Dissent is now unpatriotic, why? Because they control the microphones.

I haven’t been a huge listener of Rush since the 90s but I gotta tell ya, when watching CPAC on that Fox News feed, when I heard Rush’s theme music a shiver went up my leg.
It’s amazing how many looney tune libs come out of the woodwork when there’s a post here about taking responsibility. It’s amazing how offended they are by Rush, Newt or Sarah. It’s like throwing water on a vampire.
Rush gave a very inspiring speach. A good meter of how good is all the misquotes or intentional ignorance to his intent.

Now? As in 5:58pm? I’ve seen other quotes from the past and I listened to him for almost a decade straight. Has he changed his mind? It would be good if he changed his mind and realized that tossing nonviolent offenders in jail is not going to make society safer after his instance with drug abuse. I think pills are horrible, I’ve seen what they do to people, but I don’t want people with pill problems to be thrown in jail, in Rush’s case it was bad enough that he went deaf, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone but at the same time I am not sadistic enough to want anyone thrown in jail for such “crimes”.

The obvious answer to the whole “drugs” criticism is this. Conservatives make mistakes, just like everyone does. The difference is that conservatives recognize our mistakes, learn from them, and try not to repeat them.
Liberals try to hide their mistakes, and when caught, they try to advertise and legitimize them. Liberals promote bankruptcy, divorce, and drug use under slogans like “everybody else is doing it” and “you owe it to yourself”. Barry tries to evade criticism for his cocaine habit by making it look cool, like “a black thing, you wouldn’t understand.”

Love the kneejerk reaction. Yeah they should have all gone to jail, along with Lon Horiuchi, Janet Reno (for many things), numerous FBI and ATF agents, etc.
I know its hard for someone who gets their thoughts from people like Rush that any other limited government minded people might object to him, its not he didn’t carry water for the last administration who was just so fiscally conservative or he didn’t support the last Republican President before that HW, who was a big Rockefeller Republican himself. These people are socialists, there are not two parties there are one and truth usually takes the minority position so now these bums are making more sense. All they do is play Devil’s Advocate when they are in the minority, then when they get in the majority they become incremental socialists again, and Rush will make excuses for them.
