If you don’t watch this interview, don’t blame me when your portfolio crashes. Eric Singer runs a mutual fund for Congressional Effect, which has a unique strategy. Eric only gets into the market when Congress takes a vacation, and he has data going back to 1965 to prove his strategy. Last year, his fund was down 2%, which sounds bad until you hear that the market was down 34%, which means his investors had a 32-point advantage to the market last year:
Just in case you’re wondering how you can invest with Eric, here’s the data he gives at the end of the interview, which went a little fast to track it:
- E-Trade: CEFIZ
- Schwab, Ameritrade: CEFFZ
Don’t miss his Bob Barr anecdote near the end as well. Jazz Shaw must have really enjoyed that.
