I think he would be a great choice JoeySlippers. He should have been the R Senate leader over the last eight years. He could have helped keep W in line.
I really hope he changes his mind in the next three years and decides to run with Palin in the veep slot.

Mr. DeMint is but one of a precious few who are doggedly determined to bring the GOP back from the edge of the precipice and move it along a more solid footing. For that reason alone he deserves respect and recognition for his efforts.

Every single person, whether part of the political machinery or everyday regular American like you and me, who takes some action, large or small, to try to right the wrongs of the past, should have our 1000% support.

We hit bottom long ago. There are a few Congressional GOP'ers who are still groveling mindlessly down there, but the next election in 2010 should hopefully find those few biting dust.

Now is the time, and we need to be aware every step along the way 'back' of those who are truly making a positive difference.....

Ed Morrissey is one who deserves such recognition. I was hugely sceptical of his move over here, closing down Captain's Quarters and becoming one of the Hot Air commentators. Ed, along with the indefatigabile and dedicated AllahPundit, provides a foundation for starting my day sanely.

I have to admit that without these folks, Rush Limbaugh and Jason Lewis added in their own realms, I now enjoy a sanity filter so fine tuned that I can actually listen to and/or read daily news reports about the state of our nation and failing economy without running from the room plagued by the screaming meemies!

Thanks, guys. :-p

American Jews will see the "light" from afar, once Iran has the bomb... And with Obamby as Liar-In-Chief, they will...

American Jews and freedom loving Americans of all stripes, will see and stand and fight back this radical and his cult.

Mr. DeMint is a great Senator, however...I think he would not be the best choice as a 2012 candidate. Owing to the fierce battle (not a fan mind you) that Hillary waged and almost won (cheaters ala Hussein do win) and the Lib's facination with the election first "half-black" president. A Jindal/Palin or vice-versa would mollify the Libs. I'm not sure about those crazy Jews, 3/4's of their vote went to an apparent Jew hater. A woman and an Eastern-Indian-American (with birth certificate) would be a hard ticket hard to beat...especially since Hussein is beating himself lately.

A plus also for the far-left cartoonist, they could do "Slum Dog Millionaire" cartoons and get away with it. Al Sharpton would giggle I'm sure.

DeMint is a rare gem in Washington

I wholeheartedly agree that there are some rare gems amongst the rubble up there. But the bigger question is whether they are best served and are we best served in the same party with the likes of these other RINOs. Rhetoric is a great thing but if it doesn't have legs, what good is it.

When I think of DeMint and others, I get the picture of Fred Flintstone with their feet running and going nowhere.

Here would be a polished, perfect gem...

1) Tell the Republican leadership he would no longer participate in ANY function with the three TRAITORS...

2) Publicaly denounce them and call for their removal from the (R) party...

3) Announce plans that he will activly work to unseat them in any future election...

Now that would be a gem... a diamond!

Just for starters, you might consider switching to decaf.

You sound like a lunatic in your comments here and, if this is the tone you use when contacting RNC, Congress, etc., you can hardly blame them for ignoring you.

I'm a lunatic for not wanting the destruction of America, our values, our freedoms, our guns, talk radio, speech, borders, language, culture, work ethics, security...

I lived in PA for over a decade and I voted for Specter... but I had really no idea why I was voting for him other than the fact that he was the better alternative to whomever he was running against.

I voted for Santorum and supported him and I knew exactly why I was doing so.

In what way is Specter a Republican? On what issue is his view different from a Democrat? I honestly do not know.

Your suggestions Mr Smart Butt?

What would you have us do...

Continue to be ignored?

While the Allah's, Broders and Brookes of the party drive us off the cliff...

I'm getting off the bus before that happens!

the RNC does not care what Conservatives think, they ignored the MILLIONS of calls they got about the 3... Our Congressmen and Senators ignored the MILLIONS of calls and of course the THREE TRAITORS ignored their duty to stop the Messiah and the radical left...

Time to clean house... even Steele sucks...
