CPAC Interview: Jerome Corsi

posted at 1:00 pm on February 27, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Jerry Corsi actually hit Bloggers Row early and did our first interview, before Jim DeMint arrived, and talked about the paperback release of his book on the North American Union, The Late Great USA. Being an NAU skeptic, I challenged Jerry to change my mind. I’m not convinced, but Jerry has quite a bit of documentation, as well as some personal experiences, which he relates in this chat:

Jerry’s books can be bought from Amazon:

He has a few screws loose. You should have of asked him why he’s a Truther.

BJ on February 27, 2009 at 1:09 PM

Did you happen to ask him about the “real” story of 9/11. He’s a Truther, y’know.

It's Vintage, Duh on February 27, 2009 at 1:11 PM

Did you happen to ask him what he thinks of the fact that the SPP, the keystone of the conspiracy theory, is now deader than disco?

MadisonConservative on February 27, 2009 at 1:13 PM

The Truthers shall set you free.

ZOMG the NWO!!!!! Run for the hills!!!

Seeing as an NWO is necessary for our Star Trek future to emerge, i for one welcome our new world order overlords.

ernesto on February 27, 2009 at 1:21 PM

Certified Nut.

Dorvillian on February 27, 2009 at 1:22 PM

I guess Corsi and any disciples he may have consitute our Code Pink.

BuckeyeSam on February 27, 2009 at 1:30 PM

he may be nuts, but he wrote a book criticizing obama. i’ll take all the negative things said or printed about B. Hussein i can get.

Ghoul aid on February 27, 2009 at 1:30 PM

Wow, even I think he’s a nut…

Geez, please tell me I’m not like him…

(looks in mirror)

Wow, he makes me look rational…

+1

(That the other side also harbors nuts is very little if any consolation though.)

Jerome Corsi is a protectionist leader of the Constitution Party. The CP is very protectionist.

Libertarian Joseph on February 27, 2009 at 2:14 PM

wasn’t he a paultard?

what drives me nuts about the “Constitution Party” is much of what they claim is the only Constitutional way isn’t necessarily so but they get away asserting such with impunity. The Founders who wrote the thing didn’t agree on what portions of it means, much of it was left vague on purpose(for flexibility).

similar gripe with the LP, some of what they claim to be Liberty is not, applied to the real world.

jp on February 27, 2009 at 2:20 PM

This so-called “nut” brought down Hanoi-John and his well-funded machine. John Kerry is now a joke and will never be President of the United States.

Corsi is tenacious and he continues his quest to expose the real Barack Obama. The lawsuits continue regarding Mr. Obama’s citizenship and his place of birth, and Corsi led the charge. He is also correct about Obama’s devotion to Marxist Saul Alinsky principles and his close relationship with terrorist, William Ayers.

When will Obama release all his school transcripts and when will he release his “authentic” Hawaiian birth certificate? Does it even exist?

I wouldn’t underestimate Mr. Corsi.

Being an NAU skeptic, …I’m not convinced

Greetings, Ed. I hope you are doing well. Nations are aligning and cooperating with each like never before in modern times (take the EU for example). Now, with the global financial crisis many leaders are calling for a new world order.

Gordon Brown calls for new world order

The next step will be world unification. The Bible predicted in the last days the world would be heading toward a one world government (Revelation 13:2-8). However, it will not truly take place until after the antichrist comes on the world scene and declares himself to be God.

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (antichrist), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8

May I suggest that your inappropriate level of rudeness is a transparent attempt to disguise your inability to provide even a modicum of information to challenge my defense of Mr. Corsi?

sinsing on February 27, 2009 at 3:24 PM

Even nuts can be right

And on Obama, he is – except that the focus on Obama’s birth certificate plays into the hands of the Obama campaign.

Obama is ineligible separately under the natural born clause and because he didn’t reaffirm American citizenship after his mother renounced it. The birth certificate is a red herring dangled to make it easy to yank the rug out from under the “he’s not eligible” crowd if the media ever start to pursue this.

I watched the video and I see nothing about a “one world government” that will cause the U.S. or any other nation to, “lose its sovereignty,” which is exactly what Corsi preaches.

JannyMae on February 27, 2009 at 3:44 PM

Jerome Corsi is a great man, everything he went through trying to wake-people up to Hussein, it’s a miracle they released him from Kenya, when they held him against his will!
As for the statement he’s “nuts”,..in todays world the definition of “nuts” would be anyone who voted for Hussein!
Keep-on keepin-on Corsi!!

It’s Vintage, Duh on February 27, 2009 at 1:11 PM

If this is so, why did he give Bush credit for keeping us safe after 9/ll?

Disturb the Universe on February 27, 2009 at 6:10 PM

How can any of you discount Corsi out of hand? He’s been instrumental in driving out truths and asking critical questions about so many things. He does the hard investigating while most of you sit around handing out thumbs up/thumbs down-Roman emperor style judgement on him. He was never a 9/11 Truther, that’s something the left tagged him with so we would ignore him. Ask yourself: Who is more of a nut, Chris Matthews or Jerome Corsi? And yet you get all worked up over Chris Matthews because he has credibility? Give me a break. Go Corsi go.

Western_Civ on February 27, 2009 at 7:00 PM

AprilOrit on February 27, 2009 at 10:56 PM

The absolute, total foolishness of the average cpac conservative is to ignore/wave-off/dismiss what Corsi is talking about. The average arrogant elitist, pundit (like the interviewer guy sitting next to Corsi) can’t put 2 and 2 together to get 4. The fact is, if Middle Class America goes down, we’re all going down. The Middle Class has punished the Republicans by putting into office a radical like Obama. Millions of former GOP voters cast that “protest vote” simply to send a message to the GOP. Can’t you cpac idiots realize that? Ronald Reagan brought the Middle Class into the GOP. Ronald Reagan would not have permitted that aspect of Nafta that would allow Mexican or Canadian truckers to roll across U.S. taxpayer funded highways without proper work visas/permits. Ronald Reagan aggressively sought and acquired the endorsement of the Teamsters union both in ’80 and ’84. Ronald Reagan came out of the lower Middle Class and he understood them. Had great respect for them.
So called conservatives like the interviewer and most of those commenting on this board are absolutely clueless. They’re arrogant little snots who lack common sense and any sort of street smarts. Its people like this that are taking the Republican party down, down, down! Darvin Dowdy

apacalyps on February 28, 2009 at 1:30 PM

apacalyps: they choose to remain blind. The conservative voting base, however, see’s it clearly as evidenced by 11/7/06 and 11/4/08. Bush 43 turned out to be nothing less than a rabid Transnational Progressive (google that term). Who’da thunk it? And, apparently, these Transies have a strangle hold on the party. The irony though is that their boss, Mrs. Malkin, seems to get it. ‘Bout time for her to crack the whip here on this website, IMHO. Stop by my site for a visit. DD

Darvin Dowdy on February 28, 2009 at 1:27 PM

I agree 100%. These people are helping bring the Republican party and the nation down.

apacalyps: they choose to remain blind.

Right again. The Bible says, “For this they willingly are ignorant of.” (2 Peter 3:5). “Willingly ignorant,” that means “dumb on purpose.” The scoffers are willingly ignorant of how God made the heavens and the earth, and they are willingly ignorant of the dramatic changes to the nation and world taking place around them.

Bush 43 turned out to be nothing less than a rabid Transnational Progressive (google that term). Who’da thunk it? And, apparently, these Transies have a strangle hold on the party.

I view Bush as meaning well. A nice person. That said, some of his decisions convinced me he is terribly naive, especially on immigration and understanding the tenents of his own Christian faith. Unfortunately, he surrounded himself with incompetent self-serving neo-cons who gave him awful advice. That is my opinion, and I don’t bash the man. My prayers are for him that his eyes open. You are right about this strangle hold on the party. What you have are a few people pulling the strings in the GOP establishment taking the Republican party in a direction everyday conservatives don’t want. Yeah, I pretty well agree with you on all this. I just hope your saved and going to heaven now (smiles).
