Video: Biden falsely claims Jindal’s state is losing 400 jobs a day
posted at 1:03 pm on February 26, 2009 by Allahpundit
Why would a sitting VP want to exaggerate how many jobs are disintegrating on his watch? Because, silly, the worse things seem now, the easier it is to credit The One later with having “created or saved” the jobs people still have.
You know what the media did here, don’t you? They … messed with Joe. Click the image to watch.

Typical… Lies, lies and more lies and not one single person in the MSM will call out this blatent liar! He works for the Liar-In-Chief, so why be surprised… The far left radicals are tearing America apart and we are sitting back watching… Someone MUST call these cowards and liars out… We need Jindal and Steele to ATTACK, right now, and prove the lie… and keep doing so…

An Obama administration official said it. Therefore it is true. Either that or Biden is forecasting their plans for Louisiana.

Jindal better respond to this or the idiots who voted for Obama will simply believe it to be true.

Biden is the gift that keeps on giving. His “making an ass of myself rate” is running about every 3rd day or so. Obama putting him in charge of the stimulus was pure idiocy.
echosyst on February 26, 2009 at 1:08 PM
Let’s assume Joe the Builder is right.
That LA loses 400 jobs/day.
Is it DC’s job to fix that? Or is there a more local elected leader who could quicker address any local economic issues, perhaps?
lorien1973 on February 26, 2009 at 1:09 PM
It is only a gift if the entire administration, including dear leader, wasn’t making an ass of themselves and their electorate didn’t go full retard. It will be believed and regurgitated in the MSM like it is the truth.

Even Fox News is blathering on and on about the dog that dear leader is going to use to show he is ‘one of us’. He should check with Michael Vick on what breed to purchase. Ugh. How about talking on and on about Biden and his numerous gaffes?
HornetSting on February 26, 2009 at 1:13 PM
This happens all the time and no one ever gets called on it. Watch any show and the talking heads throw out numbers that are usually made up.
President Obama says that the COBRA insurance will help the 7 million people who have lost their jobs. 7 Million.
Leaving these numbers out there without correction gives the impression they are right.

Really Uncle Joe, really? That doesn’t seem quite right.
mjk on February 26, 2009 at 1:26 PM
Depends. If Jindal simply talks to a reporter, he lay it down straight. If he gets talked into a formal response, he’ll start by praising “…the long-serving member of congress who was honored by becoming the helpful assistant to that honorable man, our historic First Black President….”
If Plugs still had two functioning brain cells to rub together, it’d probably be better to say — because if it isn’t true now, it will be, very soon — that the policies of Osama Obama and Congress are costing Louisiana 400 jobs a day.
MrScribbler on February 26, 2009 at 1:26 PM
Joe Biden is an idiot who makes Dan Quayle look like the founder of Mensa. The msm simply allows him to keep telling lies and saying stupid things without calling him on it.
The Republicans and other conservatives need to start the smack downs now instead of trying to play nice with the left. What are they afraid of, getting outvoted on something? Come on representatives, get a set of stones and engage!
Dukehoopsfan on February 26, 2009 at 1:26 PM
Obama is plagiarizing the most successful advertising slogan on record:
DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS.
Thing is, by sliming Biden all over our slogan, Obama just messed with Texas. Intentionally. Anything from Texas or Alaska gets Obama’s sneers amplified by his snickering peanut gallery.
I did not appreciate the great affectation of praise and adoration from Kay Bailey Hutchison all over Obama following his audacious speech. When a firm handshake will do, refrain from draping yourself.
I do not trust any rationale Kay Bailey has for leaving her Senate seat at this crucial point in history. Republicans could lose that seat. I do not appreciate Kay’s decision to split the Republican Party unity in Texas as she tries to oust Perry as Governor. Kay is at the age of retirement; not Perry. So why does she play Brutus in drag upon her return home?

Biden has made a plethora of these sorts of errors. Look, there has been Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Blaggo, Michelle saying, “…this is the first time I’ve been proud to be an American…” – a virtual mountain of lies, deceit, fraud, mischaracterizations, and shady dealings over and over and over. It will not make any difference in the short term because people hated McCain and sat home – allowing The Messiah and the MSM to slip into the White House. Now we are stuck – and The One, Greek Temple and all is in bed with Polosi, Reid and Rahm Emmanuel. Biden can make himself look stupid day and night – it won’t matter. The only two things that are going to matter in the end are: The Republicans have to STOP spending on earmarks, bailouts and huge porkulus packages (they are moving in that direction at least); and The Messiah’s Economic Policies have to collapse the U.S. Economy. If those two things happen, The One will be back selling crack in Chi-Town with Daley……….

Ahem.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Louisiana had 121,949 unemployed people in December (the last month for which data is available) and 108,553 in November. The difference is 13,396. Divide that by 31, the number of days in December, and you get 432 and change.

Dems in general do. They can spew things out left and right, have this nonsense take hold with the American people, and never have to expect to be called on it.
