I read “Inside Gitmo” a couple weeks ago and found it full of interesting facts. It is not a well-edited book as it tends to be repetitive. They could have pared it down ten percent and gotten to the point quicker. The third quarter of it is slow. However, the last quarter of it which deals with the habeas lawyers is excellent.

Don’t expect a novel here, but it does give most of the facts on Gitmo. It could have gone in more about the legal status of the detainees with respect to the Geneva Convention, but it’s still worth reading.

This post has been up for nearly three hours and mine is only the second comment. Incredible. I hope that mean everyone who saw this post aleady has bought the book. If not, you ought to buy it, read it, and look through his supporting evidence on the web site, InsideGitmo.com; there is a lot about our troops there and what has really gone on at Gitmo that you should know.
