I hope the exposing is party-ignorant. This shouldn’t be considered a move by the opposition or a minority party bill. It’s an American problem. Both parties make me sick with their earmarks. Flake is bringing in the magnifying glass and the spotlight. Thank you Jeff!

I love how he has no social conservative issues on his “Issues” page at his site. Mr. Flake is one Republican who gets it.

Had dinner with family from Alaska last week. Alaska “gets it.” They are not experiencing as much of what the lower 48 are experiencing. They are just watching and waiting.

My Rants for Tue:

1) So when will State’s rights take a prominent place in this country’s discourse? I want the federal govt to keep us safe and on the right track. The rest I want handled by each state.

2) CA is too big. Split in thirds and move on!

3) AIG wants more bailout money? Their stock has gone from $68 two years ago to 47 cents! What are they clinging to?

There are lots of Mormons in AZ. Most of us couldn’t care less who is a Mormon and who isn’t. There are much more important considerations.

Flake could have a tough row to hoe, given the strongest opposition in his district has come from people who say he hasn’t brought home enough pork.

Both of AZ’s current Senators, Jon Kyl and John McCain, refuse earmarks. Both of them get plenty of flack for it when they come up for re-election, but they keep getting re-elected anyway. The majority of AZ voters put the country’s interests first. Would be nice if some of the other states would join us in this effort.

Rep. Flake may not be popular in the halls of Congress, but he should be one of the most popular politicians outside of the Beltway for his tireless efforts to expose and end corruption.

He is popular with me. Flake (maybe I should start calling him “Jeff” like Matthews calls his buddy “Barack”) is my district rep here in Arizona. I am very proud of him for doing what he does. He has consistently voted against this crapola. Personally, I hope he runs against McCain in 2010. It is time for Arizona to make a stand for the republic.

When do we stop this spending madness. Instead of setting up a tea party, why don’t we all get together as a large family and plan a weeks vacation in DC. Thus, avoiding all those legal issues, ie. permits, etc. Then we can all meet around the capitol and the white house for pictures, etc. If we can get all the “family” members to show up, let them give good reason to shut us down.
