Guys, I’m getting really tired of the Charles-bashing. I don’t mind you criticizing my friends (or me), but the constant refrains of how much he’s changed, how supposedly intolerant he is, etc etc, are getting tedious. And off-topic: This is a thread about Wilders, not LGF. Please focus.

I still read LGF regularly, for what it’s worth.

Joe McCarthey turned out to be right. If anything, Charles Johnson is a better McCartheyite than McCarthey was!

Glenn Beck, although right on so much, does not quite “get it” about Islam. He still thinks its a peaceful religion hijacked by radicals.

Yep. It’s unfortunate too, because we could really use his voice in the fight against Islam.

Beck needs to stop thinking that he’s actually fighting “radical” Islam by befriending the likes of Zuhdi Jasser. I’m glad Jasser believes in peace, but to many if not most of his Muslim brothers (and certainly the “radicals” he hopes to reform) he’s nothing but an apostate. He has no voice within the Muslim community.

Reform is something the so-called moderate Muslims will have to work on for themselves, but for the West we must begin to look at Islam as the enemy if we hope to survive its attack on us.

Caldwell, to his credit, is willing to call Wilders on his own notable hypocrisy in this area but keeps his eye on the big picture:

I’m no Dhimmi just because I don’t think Wilders should have a platform in the UK to promote his junk and I am also glad that they are deporting a number Islamic morons as well as keeping Wilders out. I served in the Middle East and don’t really care what you think of the UK or me for that matter since you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. I find Allahpundit’s criticism of those, many who were already outcast from LGF as fascists, those who dare criticize Charles Johnson, absurd. Either you believe that Charles Johnson is the only non-fascist, non-race supremacitst anti-Jihadist or you believe that everyone else is with the exception of Johnson.

Regarding Beck, him including Wilders in a show of solidarity for free speech is admirable, but he still refuses to see the obvious, and ignored Wilder’s claim that Islam is a fascist, totalitarian ideology, with the typical PC excuse that “he knows alot of Muslims who are good people”, nonsense.

Wilders is a wanker. Britain has every right to tell this creep to sod off. They also told a number of radical Americans to sod off… good thing too. They just have to take care of the creeps that got in under the asylum laws and it will be a much better place… constitution or not.
