Since all these states are taking our tax dollars, the least we should expect is to be able to cast a vote in their elections. No paying taxes without representation, right?? I know, we don’t have that at the Fed level either.

I just got a look at my state’s spending of the stimulus package funds. All the money went to just about three cities. All run by and have been run by Dems for the past few years. It looks like a pay off for votes or those Dems don’t run their cities very well. Some of the funds went to fix levees in the downtown area of a large city. This has been a reocurring problem for the past 30 years especially in the spring with the snow melt in the mountains. They have had lots of time to fix the problem, but the powers that be never really took charge and did the work.
Our little town had an aging sewer system. A lot of it from the very beginning of the town’s sewer system’s exhistence. It took almost five years to complete. Streets all torn up and water standing when we had lots of rain and snow. It’s done now. Water hikes were inevetible and people complained, but it was well worth the money. Republicans have been in charage in the town and county every since we have lived here. Almost 15 years. Things do get done here and there doesn’t seem to be that much corruption. I am sure that there is some, but so far nothing really that bad. People’s minds seem to be right most of the time even though some are Democrats. Most of the officials seem to actually work for their constituents.
It becomes so obvious after living out here for a while that the Dems bring corruption to everything they touch. The RINOS are that way because they love their perks like the Dems and are not willing to make the tough choices. Arnold should have had that place cleaned up out there a long time ago. But he didn’t stick to his principles and didn’t have the courage to make the tough decisions. Working with Democrats never, ever works. They just want to take the easy way out. Giving Arnold more money is like pouring money down a rat hole.

I suppose this issue is why there are divisions within the Republican party. I cannot see how states can turn down help right now, unless they truly have enough in the coffers and their economy is separate from the rest of us.

When a fight is over, it’s over. Time to move on and do what is best for people. If there’s truly strings attached, then fine. Turn that down. But to turn it down without a lot of input from people in the state is foolish and petty.

There are two adages passed down through tradition that make cogent comments on association. One is ‘birds of a feather flock together’ and the second is ‘if you lie down with dogs you wake up with fleas’.

Now take Obama’s relationship with Ayres and Dohrn and Arnold’s relationship with the Kennedy’s I think you have to agree that common sense tells you that these adages apply to both Obama and Arnold.

Why modern man or woman does not see this is beyond me.

Folks: crooks associate with crooks; rich people associate with rich or influential people; the golfers with personal jets associate mostly with the golfers with personal jets; and RINO’s associate with RINO’s or liberals and conservatives associate with other conservatives or libertarians and radical socialists associate with radical socialists or Marxists.

I am not talking about anything profound here.
