Whom would you prefer as your senator, a political hack who apparently commits perjury, which by Chicago poll standards is rather innocent, or a somewhat brighter guy who doesn’t get caught in criminality, but lies continually including about his friendship with a terrorist in whose living room the eventual senator kicked off his political career.

Good luck trying to expel Roland Burris or trying to get him to resign. He’s armed with the backing of the machine in Chicago.

He was introduced and supported at a Chicago Civic Club get together by the man that really runs the City of Chicago. Finance Committee Chairman Ed Burke, Alderman from the 14th Ward.

He’s the “shadow Mayor”. The machine gives you nothing without his consent.

I grew up in this cesspool of a city, where this type of crap is an everyday event. He won’t resign, no one here in Illinois (outside the GOP) will demand his resignation. Hizzhonor da mayor is strangely quiet except for saying he want cameras on every corner. Burris is was and alway will be a Chioago Machine Democrat just like Durbin, Jackson, Emmanuel and the rest, including hopeychangey.
This town sucks.

How about his job is also in the hands of the Senate ethics, and of the courts.
The people are not the only arbiter of truth…hence us being a Representative Republic.
Burris is the poster boy for liberal democrat policies…he is exactly where he should be, with the other tax evaders, lobbying sucking, democrats, that are now such an integral part of democrat leadership and this administration.
