Ed, you have never been so wrong in your life.

You have to put Sarah’s comment in context. Just 72 hours before 3 RINO”s had caved in and given Obama the keys to the ‘stimulus’ car leaving all Republicans dispirited or extremely angry. Over the weekend this even intensified as evidenced by the comments heard on Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity’s program on Monday.

If any prominent Republican had called for Obama to reconsider his support of the stimulus bill and veto the bill I would have been one of the first to congratulate him or her. As far as I know nobody of the ilk in the lower 48 echoed this sentiment. I believe if anybody but Sarah did we would have heard about it by now in the MSM to upstage Sarah.

So Sarah comes out with a viewpoint that I believe echoes the greatest majority sentiment of the base and Ed has the nerve to say that Sarah jeopardized her ‘credibility’. With who Ed: Obama and his merry men and women, with the MSM, with elitists, with smug pundits, with RINO’s-Ed if that is who you are referring to I might agree but I really believe you are trying to imply that Sarah has hurt herself with the base or independent conservatives. Balderdash, Ed.

Sarah Palin had the guts to say what so many other prominent people should have said or the majority of the base were thinking. If anything this enhanced Sarah’s credibility.

As I wrote earlier Sarah drew a line in the sand and forced Obama to take ownership of the stimulus package by signing the bill.

What you call ‘ not doing much for Palin’s credibility’ I believe was a masterstroke, a tour de force, that superstars are able to deliver what most journeymen cannot even conceive. It will endear Sarah even more.

Timing is everything in politics. Sarah delivered on cue.

Not seeing that Ed makes me think that you had a bad day. because usually you are much more cogent on other topics.

To use the example of ANWR, the government does own (or manage, control, or whatever euphemism you wish to use) the land. For those advocating direct negotiation between energy companies and landowners, please tell me what your strategy would be to get drilling companies on governmentally “managed” property without jumping through govt. hoops.

Since ANWR is now and will be forever, a Federal National Park. We are never going to drill in ANWR. Thank your Senate and Congress for that.

Being the fact I am from Alaska and the fact I have been against BOTH Stimulus deals and Alaska actually supports itself. I would love how you got any information concerning Alaska and how we are “freeloading”?

Sarah took a huge gamble and won. She fully understood that the intractable nature of Obama’s oversized ego and his stated socialist agenda would prevent him from complying to her wishes.

Sarah rose to the occasion and drew a line in the sand. Millions of conservatives will remember where she stood on the stimulus bill and will rally to her cause. The proof is in the pudding.

There are national parks, state parks, city parks, you name it scattered from sea to shining sea. Don’t have to agree with the philosophy if you don’t want to, but those are the facts on the ground.

To argue about natural resources buried beneath soil currently controlled by governmental agencies by saying “leave the government out of it, negotiate with the landowners” is not a realistic position.

Do some research and you’ll find that the $150,000,000,000 in stimulus checks sent out last year (with much hoopla from Bush and McCain about how they’d fix the economy) went only to lower and middle income taxpayers. That there is redistribution of wealth.

She said “I wish he’d veto it,” not “I call on him to veto it,” or even “I think he should veto it.” She was speaking about what she’d like to see in an ideal situation–expressing what ought to be (and why), not proposing an action item. Knock it off, nudnik.
