look at my minimum requirements, we are on the same page. I have lived in CA and Utah with a high hispanic population. If they were all legal, who spoke English, who were hard working people who kept their noses clean, and were pro American, then I have no problem. What you are describing is describing what I don’t advocate. With the majority not speaking English and here as illegals, they have no loyalty to America…that creates problems on one wants.
Again Tancredo made the argument that LEGAL immigration with as low as that is, is a major problem. No it isn’t. Illegal immigration is a huge problem, but we should make it easier to be a legal citizen.

Look, I think that you are thinking that I dislike immigrants. That could not be farther from the truth. Until the Immigration Act of 1965 this country got a very nice mix of hard working, patriotic, pro-America immigrants. Since then we have been overwhelmed with hispanics. In particular, Mexicans. Now because most of them have no loyalty to anything other the the American dollar, they are not in the same category as immigrants of old. I don’t want to be snippy but you have no authority on this subject until you have lived as I have lived. There are days when wherever I go, I barely HEAR English let alone your fantasy of everyone learning it. My junk mail used to be all Spanish (not English & Spanish), billboards are in Spanish only, Do you get that here in Dallas it is possible to go about your daily life and NEVER speak a word of English? My neighbor, who was a sweet old guy has lived here for 50 years and literally cannot speak a word of English. Now, that neighborhood was 98% hispanic which about 75% were illegal, according to the liberal Dallas Morning News. Thankfully, I have moved and where I am now is a truly mixed neighborhood. So before you go judging me maybe you should think about how Hawiian culture would be destroyed if we plopped down about 2 million non-English speaking Mexicans. Trust me. You wouldn’t like it.

It does not matter where I live. You are turning this into an emotional debate instead of relying on principles and standards. But from my personal experience, legal immigrants benefit America in the same way owners take care of property generally than renters ( illegal immigrants are the renters ) and new owners who lived in poverty ( poverty in terms of freedom and opportunity ) tend to take more pride in their new home than those who were just given a home from their daddy ( ie natural born citizens who are slugs )
I don’t fear other cultures, I fear socialists, I fear ILLEGAL immigration. Speak English, work hard and keep your nose clean, put your loyalty and allegiance to the flag and everything it stands for…and I will shake your hand and gladly call you an American.

to clarify, the reason why I doubt legal immigrants not assimilating is because in general legal immigrants become more American than the natural born citizens who are infatuated with socialism.

The clips eh posted here in the comment threads were troubling. It wasn’t about illegal immigration, it mainly focused on race. It sounded like grievance mongering, which Mrs. Malkin says she hates so much over and over again.

If you talk to any medical professional they will tell you sour pork is the primary breeding ground for trichinosis and many of U.S. are experiencing the symptoms right now.

Reading the various posts of eh it is obvious eh is the racist. Observe how quick those of eh ilk, are to proclaim the number one liberal talking point against those that do not agree with them – they are the racist and begin the name calling and ignoring every PC rule they have concocted. Also, they can never uphold their claims.

Based on the facts above and those of eh posts I have come to the conclusion that eh is the result of an early withdrawal and does not have a fully developed encephalon.
